    Received a new e-shifter, accuratly ensured the 90 degrees angle etc, mounted it now the third time. Still the 4th gear does not shift-in. I definitely recommend to vanMoof to find a technical solution to replace the shifter (whcih here in hilly Luxembourg is problematic). Otherwise this fantastic bike and the nice story of the firm will be harmed seriously, iif you follow all the unsatisfied customers in the carious forums.

      I’m awaiting a new e-shifter after mine wouldn’t change into 4th basically out of the box. The fact they were still shipping these busted ones when the new version includes “improved gears” is criminal in my opinion. If the new one doesn’t work I’m returning the bike and buying a competitor

      Have they managed to fix your problem yet?

      @@wylie102 unfoirtunately not. Ißll send the bike back (they want to fix it resp exchange the bike. A bit sad as summer season just starts. But foir the time being their service was quite fast, so I am positive)

      @@petesteel are they replacing it with the same type or one of the new and improved ones? Seems like they're still trying to fob off the old stock on those of us that ordered before the change. Sucks a bit since the gear problems seem quite common and they shouldn't be selling them if a high % don't work out of the box. Especially if they have made changes to fix it on models ordered only weeks later.

      That aged quite well

    The replacement was totally doable until I had to put those 2 small black rings back when tightening the chain suspender again, I felt like a bomb technician :'D You might want to add that to the tutorial because they fall out and in the beginning I did not understand where the hell they came from and where to put them back. Anyways, Error44 is gone, I can shift gears again and my bike works perfectly! Except those two rings it's not difficult, for me it was only a bit scary because I was taking a 2k bike apart without technical knowledge.

      @CNL-tz4rn 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      So, where did they come from and how did you fix it?

    • @stridery
      @stridery 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@CNL-tz4rn at one point you unscrew two screws to loosen the chain tensioner, then the two black rings fall off those two screws. You need to fumble them back on those 2 screws when you reassemble the bike. It will make sense when you do the replacement :)

      Had the same issue but was able to solve it by watching a different TH-camrs video. VanMoof should really mention in this video. It’s really annoying to suddenly have two washers and no idea where they came from.
      Other than that the repair wasn’t very complicated.
