It’s funny. I don’t blame the people who don’t like Jayce, but he is one of my favorite characters. I assure you, he has an incredibly interesting arc with multiple strong motivations. It’s just hidden under his seemingly contradictory actions and his habit of being manipulated. Watching very closely, you can solve the exact reasons he does everything he does. He is a scientist, so he tests every possible approach and tactic to achieving his goals. Each time he fails, he pivots drastically, and takes the exact opposite approach. He fails at everything he does, because he over-corrects . I think it’s very interesting, and makes him a unique type of character we don’t see very often.

I feel like an important thread from season 1 that will pick up again in 2 is Vander's lessons to Vi about being a leader, and the Mel flashback where Ambessa talks about the power of symbols of the old regime. As the last remaining child of Vander still loyal to his ideals, Vi is the perfect person to unite the undercity and broker a peace with Piltover, but she's not quite ready to succeed at it yet. Perhaps a good season long character arc for her? Also, my current theory is that the war described might not be between Piltover and Zaun at all, at least at first. But one battle for control of Piltover and a simultaneous for control of Zaun, and Vi and Caitlyn will be separated at the start of the season, as each of them tries to help keep the peace on their opposite sides of the river now that the leadership of both is in question Heimerdinger will probably go back home to find that Ambessa has done a bit of a hostile takeover in the absence of the council "for the city's own good," trying to get access to hextech weaponry and use the enforcers to hunt down Jinx, and he'll be forced to turn to Jayce and Viktor and maybe the Firelights for aid in outfoxing the wolf. Meanwhile, the people of Zaun, who are in their own war between all the chem barons and the Firelights/Vi, will fight back against Ambessa sending in an army just to hunt down Jinx, and Caitlyn will then go to Vi with a proposal. If the two of them can find Jinx first and arrest her fast enough, then they can prevent all out war from breaking out And maybe the season ends with an outside threat, like the army that wants revenge on the Medardas, arriving to conquer the city while it's divided and weak, and Piltover and Zaun have to unite to fend them off. Maybe they even have to make a deal with a now captured Jinx to get her aid in the fight in exchange for her freedom??
Outside the walls of Piltover, the world is very fantasy-like, Piltover and Zaun are the first modern cities as happened in England at the time of the industrial revolution, the great minds of the world come together in Piltover because heimer believes in intelligence, but in other places it is still a bit '''medievalish''-like''. Each region has very different themes, in the south of Piltover it is literally an ancient Egyptian region, in the north there are Vikings and kingdoms and empires. It's not easy to merge everything, they need to plan this expansion of the world well, because Jinx won't be able to be the main character of several seasons, so I think we will have several series in different locations.
I am incredibely hyped for November! But first, a warm summer! This winter has been ass. Also, I think the point of no return is Viktor. If you know the game, you might understand why :) They might alter more from the previously core universe, but I think much will be similar. Like I mention, Viktor but also, I think the part Zaun has in one of Noxus invasions might come from what ever the Madarda is doing.
Legit, I HIGHLY disagree with both the feeling of Arcane being "predictable" or the bolder predictions that one League dude made (don't get me wrong, I'd love to see Ionia or Vel'Koz in the spotlight, but they're FAR from reaching them with this current story, and Jinx will not be "for sure" be "a good person again"). I would concede that Arcane can be Tropey, but a trope is a tool that a writer can use to their advantage, not something to be feared and avoided. The one part I've "predicted" out loud on yhe first watch-through was that Jayce's ultimatum would be the downfall of Silco, but it played out in a very unique way that you yourself pointed out as the most surprising of the series.
I see, I think tropes in of itself are predictable. Once a bunch of elements are introduced into the plot, it was not hard to discern where things would go. FE, it’s easy to predict Viktor’s downfall once all that new tech was introduced, he seemed adamant about pushing for it since he was running out of time. All in all though, it is a wonderful show and literally my favorite, but every single piece of media has it’s flaws.
I can't believe that Wekasuwi could say something so outrageous in the middle part of this video... shame.
