How wonderful. People of diverse thought and policy positions can still laugh, jib, and recognize a new day to start the work of the nation anew.
And there's Farage already dumbing down the place.
Farage is probably the smartest guy in the house
44:16 PMQS are must see t.v. from across the pond & Sir Lindsay Hoyle is a joy to watch as we do not have the same eloquence in the current Speaker of the United States House of Representatives.
It's a full Panto cast, isn't it?
😂 a stark upgrade from the circus 🎪
@@MetzJnr😂😂
Honestly, it's pathetic. Keep the tradition in the Royal households and museums for tourists to watch.
Those on the opposition benches? yeah. the rest is historic.
Not quite! there are 7 missing who refuse to take their seats as they do not swear allegiance.
All that ceremonies remind me of game of thrones 😅
Game of Thrones came after.
Farage's dig at Bercow was disrespectful to the occasion. An inauspicious start.
He is disrespectful of everything. He is a disrupter and a destroyer. He cares only to himself and despite his expensive education he has zero decency or good manners.
Good. Noone likes Bercow.
@@TheManInBlueFlames Not the point. Ed Davey shouldn't have had a go at the Opposition with his "Wastewater scandal" comment either. Not the day for it.
I don’t understand why anyone would vote for someone like him. It’s one thing to vote for a candidate because they’re gonna be different and bring change. But someone like Farage who just wanna disrupt and do whatever they want I don’t understand why people vote for them. We have several people like that in the US also . All they do is disrupt . They oppose everything for no reason at all and anytime they speak they blow hot air
@@blakekaveny Yes, he's another Bannonite like Bobert, Gaetz, Empty G .. no interest in making progress.
So very civilised
If "The tables have turned" was a person 😊😊
45:56, i love to hear this..becoz in Malaysia , only government MP are given provision..while the opposition is left out without any provision
Diane Abbot comedy gold
The pomp and ceremony is objectively absurd
Especially allegiance to the king bit🤢
@@Cherrytune386 heavy cult vibe
I thought the Irish was funny, the SDLP leader is hilarious, especially his last bit hinting at farage
What time is that,
I like this. The PM becomes the opposition and the opposition becomes the PM. Transparency transparency to its core.
" Call the Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer" 4 years I was waiting and figthing for... and it' s still a wow
31:16 "women of colour?" Everyone is a colour so which women is he talking about? "Of colour" sounds so cringe
I think Corbyn missed out on being Father of the House by a few minutes.
Good!
Father of house of commons : jeremy corbyn
Mother of house of commons: Diane abbott
letsgo!!!
Not corbyn
If I had pipped Jeremy Corbyn at the post like that, I'd have offered to be Grandad of the House and let JC be Father. 😁
Let’s go what ? Two abject political failures that helped the Tories hold government for 14 years. Both able to create internal power bases in the Labour Party whilst remaining completely unelectable to the wider British public. Pay no attention to the overly polite discussion in parliament today, their political legacy is one of failure.
@@blakevincent5786They revealed labours true colours, which is what made people vote tory for the last 14 years. Starmer is the same, just managed to fool the gullible into thinking he's not. He will reveal the real labour soon enough. When the country is on its arse, people will realise it.
@@blakevincent5786 Labour got significantly more votes under Corbyn, the only reason they lost was because the right were not split among several parties like they were this election. Corbyn even got elected as an independent by a large majority over labour in his own constituency. Corbyn has been the only truly left-wing social democratic labour leader in the last 30 years.

diane abbot so slow, wake up please
Aww she thinks she's people.
Awww She thinks she's people.
Labour can make uk great again 1000%❤
Ed Davey still in campaign mode it seems...
Yes, surprisingly unseemly. He ought to know better.
Viva ! Green is growing !
Like algae.
A phenomenal & moving speech by Diane Abbott.
How contrasting to the Indian parliament a few days back.
Great to see Diane Abbott back...bless her she looked so nervous.
One big gravy train for themselves. This country is falling apart and they're too busy with this pantomime. Lets see how theyre going to screw us.
How does this in any way detract from their work?? They have 5 years to fix our country. This took less than 1 hour.
@clarkpatient7950 they had far longer than 5 years and I'm by no means a tory fan either. None of that reflects this country at the moment. Get things working and right again then go back to your pomp and ceremony.
Oh no! Not Lindsey Hoyle!
Rishi is an exemplary leader. Just bad that he inherited a difficult economy, did his best with inflation and other pledges. I think he never had enough time to prove himself. I hope Starmer and the Labour party delivers. Echoing Rishi's point, Labour boast of having a plan but never clearly spelt out what it was (or is) and it appeared vague on the manifesto compared to the Rishi's clear-cut goals.
Seeing this level of mutual respect from both sides, I'm feeling a more proudly naturalised British citizen now. I truly believe that politicians have a huge role in setting great examples and standards to the whole nation simply by how they talk to each other and what language they use. Wish I could see this once in the Parliament of the country where I am from. :)
