    So happy to see some true color representation snippets! The filter is nice but it makes it really hard to know what the colors look like in reality; I fall in love with a skein/roving only to go purchase it and find that it's a totally different color lol.

    Hi Kaci, I love all the rabbit holes (craftee adventures) you are going through, you might find it helpful to have something white or light under your black fabric while you are stitching to highlight where to place your needle. Looking forward to listening to your audio podcast 😊

So gorgeous... Got another linen yarn for the time being but may indulge myself later... (is it as beautiful and soft as it looks?)

    I'm looking forward to the swiftee release. I'm thinking of Lisa frank neon colors on black (if I can find it!) Cornbread and honey did a colorway called "blackbetty" a few years ago that would have been perfect. Neon pink and neon purple with a soft pink and orange...
    Anyway thanks for posting, I really enjoy watching.

    Great podcast as usual looking forward to your new designs and finished projects. I do have a question hiw do you go about substituting yarns from one another as far as fiber content i do understand weight and gauge but fiber sometimes I don't always get right. Thanks Kaci and good luck with your new collaboration with Becky

    Hey there. I just watched your latest podcast. It was wonderful. Thank you for sharing your projects. Love the format.
    Question - At the end of your video I was intrigued by the way you hold your working yarn. I’m trying to find a way to hold my yarn where the yarn is held in front of my index finger. Currently, I work with it on the back side of my finger. I’m thinking that your way is much more efficient. My question is how do you setup your right hand to knit?

    • @YoungfolkKnits
      @YoungfolkKnits  ปีที่แล้ว

      Is embroidery needlepoint?

    • @donnapaskvan8927
      @donnapaskvan8927 ปีที่แล้ว

      Needlepoint is also known as canvas embroidery. The best I can describe the canvas is that it is a mesh and you work the design and the background both.

  • @Wonderfullyknittedemily
    @Wonderfullyknittedemily ปีที่แล้ว

    I love the cross stitch! Question though, shouldn’t you be working on it stretched out on a hoop? If it’s not on a hoop the tension can be off and you can get some weird tension/bumpiness on your final product!

    • @YoungfolkKnits
      @YoungfolkKnits  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes! You are so right! I have hoops and I will definitely put it in one. For some reason when I first start one I like to have it free. I’m weird 😂

  • @Carol-Malinois
    @Carol-Malinois ปีที่แล้ว

    I know you have decided that a drop shoulder fits you best. A modified drop shoulder would be another option. And since you are starting to write patterns, it might be an option to explore. I’ve searched for a pattern and they are very limited and to find one with short rows is nearly impossible.
