    One thing I don't agree with is when people talk about how their parent(s) raised them as if they deserve an award. It is your DUTY under God to raise your children. And it is your duty as a child to honor and not resent your parent(s).
    A lot of parents (mainly mothers) like to hold the "I raised you" thing over their children's head as if they can literally do or say anything disrespectful to that child because of that fact. Doesn't work that way. That child will have a family of his/her own, and will be tasked with making sure his/her kids have a healthy and protected upbringing, and if that means cutting a narcissistic grandparent out of their lives then so be it!

    Respect is earned not given. I don't know the full story but before someone can respect you, have to respect YOURSELF. If the mother has toxic ways, the daughter has EVERY right to respect herself by not engaging with her mother. It breaks my heart how we get stuck on titles of people to invalidate another human emotions and feelings. Stuff like this can run deep in the fact that her mother could be jealous of her, want to still control her even though she's an adult, etc. You don't invalidate a human being feelings because of freaking titles! Mother, father, Supervisor, Manager, police officer doesn't automatically give you RIGHTS to NOT CHECK YOURSELF AND BEHAVIOR FIRST.

    No parents do not have a manual which is true. But, patents can have toxic ways for wanting respect but yet forget their child is grown. Can parents get stuck with behaviors that annoy their children? Yes, we can. This is not about her respecting her mom this is about a mom who knows her child from the surface and not in her adult life when much has changed. Yes, parents need to be quiet and own our mess so our children can heal. No excuses, no shaming and blaming just true honesty such as I'm sorry I hurt you please tell me what bothered you in that matter. Please share with me how I can do better in your space so I can know you better as an adult. I really am sorry please forgive me. Steve did not help he only made the daughter feel guilty. He made mom to feel as if she is not responsible in some way. We all have faults give advice for ownership not bull....!

      For her to bring her mother to court in itself is crazy, nowadays kids want things to be spoon fed to them.

    • @CWS707
      @CWS707 2 ปีที่แล้ว +20

      @@360returns2 Most kids truly don't want to be spoon fed. They want understanding of themselves from said parent. The understanding includes how they learn, how they hear, their thoughts and feelings. Many parents don't know their child's favorite colors, foods, dislikes and likes. Parents have been conditioned to having child to just do as they say and all else can wait. There normally is no examples of the how, why, what, and where to help the child to navigate what is requested and expected. Parents have more patience with lovers, social media, cellphones and hanging out than enjoying the gift and blessing that their child truly is. No matter what parents need to identify that we drop the ball for parenting more frequently than we can admit. Too bad that it takes for the child to get in the early teens and young adulthood for the mess to hurt and bring discomfort to parent. Parents will blame child as if it was the child's fault that they had to work to provide for their necessities, and for their enjoyment and more. Since when did taking ownership for doing the best you can as a parent become an excuse not to apologize? Children need to heal and it certainly would help to listen and consider their feelings more often whilst they are growing up so when they are adults there can be a mutual respect and honoring of mother and father.

    No parent is owed anything. It is a huge bonus if your children turn out to be great, loving, caring human beings. Cherry on top of they start to take of you. However, no parent is owed because no child asked to come into the world, that was the parents choice. It was their duty to take care the best care they knew how, of their children. Now, oftentimes the parents who think they're owed something, are the ones who have scarred their kids in some way. The daughter has feelings as well as the mother. Nobody's feeling should be put above the other. They're equally important. With that said, I'm not taking my mother to court, unless it's something that has to, Like involving children or something.

He needs to leave that crap alone - because he doesn’t know what people go through behind closed doors. Our business is not out in the open like his. For some of us - the 1 we have will not be missed. Ask my handicapped former brother who finally woke up, and got a backbone 2 months ago. (I bounced and refused to kiss her behind 13 years ago) After my former mother tried to stab him with two steak knives. Should he listen to you and adulterous Steve, or the cops who said don’t take your butt back over there- no matter what she needs. People who always say that crap and try to force relationships that are already Damned and there’s no salvaging them, trying to make others feel guilty. They are the reasons people end up in the grave (parents, and children) . So y’all need to quit playing God and leave it alone
