Hello I've watched the video and thank you. My RX300 is non-Nakamichi, just want to say that outright. For the wiring harness in the back, I've "plug and played" all that was available, and the screen doesn't turn on. So I'm definitely missing something. Along the top of the screen in the rear are white plugs (directions are very vague, but it says one of them is a USB). Could you please explain or reach out to me for some help with the wiring connections. Right now what should work doesn't and it's probably user error. Thank you - John
What's the point of keeping the cassette system and all those buttons when you get the touch screen. Can we upgrade this while in there with something else? Anything you'd recommend?
I have the same unit, you are right about the color wires in the wrong place for power. I had to bypass them. My issue is after installation and it powers on. I get no sound. I don't have the Nakamichi version but the regular premium sound. radio. I could not get the antenna to power up either any - suggestions? does that have an amp also that I need to bypass?
U have to find a wiring diagram (they're on google but kinda confusing) and then depin and repin. I did. It. In the bigger plug the one that says antenna pin the blue wire to. The other option is get a dsp from dayton audio and bypass it completely.

Do you know any solution on this? or input? anything you could have me try please let me know sir. I have it installed its just not turning on continuously. =( Thank you in advance.
@@khmerohio Thank you so much for replying sir, I don't have a test light. I had to return the unit for replacement when I tried to put it back in i smelled burnt wires right away. The unit smelled burnt I don't know why. I will update you when I get the new one. Thank you very much for replying super fast. you got me subscribed right away. =)

Brother, even on the non Nakamichi those wiring harnesses are not pinned correctly. U have to de pin And Repin. I found out the hard way. The amp was probably not bad but it is wired more like a 2-channel as opposed to a real 6 channel. It also has that awful bass roll off.
Yea it's very much meant to send us to the pros to pay premium prices. If someone is a little mechanically capable it's possible, but boy is it gonna be a pain.
@@vannlocz90 Do you have more specifics on which wires you depinned? I already repinned the 12V and ACC wire for power, but I have no sound coming on at all. Which additional wires did you have to repin?
@@dillonsaw2471 u have to look at the plug itself from the car. Match the new harness and put wires to meet those. U also need to look up the wiring diagram for a lexus rx 300 stereo on Google. It's the Pioneer system not Nakamichi. I don't remember exactly off hand cuz I did it over a year ago. I'll look in my box of BS that I have N see if I find it.
Good video for knowledge. Personally I have seen too many issues with the lower end Android units. RX300 owners are kinda hosed. Who ever decided to combine the head unit and climate control in ALL vehicles should be punched in the face lol.
You can simply buy an eonom 10.1 inch android radio, however you will need to remove the original screen and cut that area so it fits...I made a modification like this on my RX300 about 3 / 4 yrs ago....

Does the new screen show you the engine data like the current MPG and outdoor temp or is that data lost?

Do you have test light ?
Make sure that when the key is on position, the Red and Yellow wire has 12 volts. Also, the blackwire probably needed to ground to the metal frame
