Review of Seicane stereo in a 2001 Lexus RX 300

- Picked up Stereo from seicane.com never purchased from them before. Upside - after i got it all working it works great and sounds awesome. Still need to hook up the wireless backup camera i bought with it. Downside - lack of instructions that came with it made it an adventure figuring out what plugs into where as i had several plugs that were the same off the stock unit. And the remote wire had a nub i had to cut off to get it into the stereo harness and make the amp turn on.
I'm thinking of buying a Lexus Rx300 like yours and looking for accessories I found that type of radio. But like the previous comment, I have doubts about how to connect the air conditioning control. There is nothing written about that. I would appreciate if you can help us with that clarification. I think it will be easier to understand, since you installed one.
ac and heat controls are on screen install for this was a beast and gave me issues but the payoff was worth it especially since i paired it with a set if infinity kappas in the doors. the digital processor in the unit makes music just sound miles better than the kenwood head unit i installed in my truck

I just purchased this for my 2003 rx300. I am not able to get it to work with the climate controls. I also can't get the screen layout to look anything like yours. Lucky me my unit didn't come with any instructions or manuals.
Yes I had the same problem at first … a bunch of wires and connectors and no real instructions. I was stuck on climate controls and no sound. Took me some time to figure it out…. And a few emails back and forth with seicane. It’s a bit tricky. You do have to set the stereo settings to the correct canbus type. The sound was corrected when I realized there was a connector with a single wire in it that was the stock amp power up wire. Got that connected and it was working. I recently replaced the speakers with a set of infinity kappa speakers. Sounds amazing. Think when I get some time I’ll make a follow up video with some of the install to see if that helps anyone😮

@@NPSX i live in washington state and waiting for weather to give me a break ... just finished a ton of engine maintenance and plan to add an amp and subs i will do some filming of the back wiring and film some of that install.
Need Help. Radio or stereo works, but the AC and Climate control is not working. How were you able to fix those issue. Thanks
i had the same struggle took me a couple weeks and emails back and forth with manufacturer to get the correct plug and the correct canbus chosen in the settings. and i had the single power wire for the stock amp fall into the spaghetti of plugs that i had to slightly modify to plug into the accessory power output.
the install was not easy and instructions sucked but once i did get it done i absolutely love it

I purchased the same radio and honestly cant get the damn thing to power on was there anything specific that you did to get it to turn on
check your wiring and fuzes. this install is honestly best tackled by a professional installer. im not and it was a fight to get it all working but worth all the blood sweat and tears i put into it
How much did you pay for the unit and where did you find it
I bought mine from eBay, made by a Chinese company called TopNavi. It’s a great unit. I’ve seen them from $300 - $600. You can go straight to the manufacturer and buy as well for cheaper
i bought mine from the manufacturer. they ask for pics of stock setup so they can get you the correct kit
How’s the radio working after a few months of iseage
So far I have no complaints. recently upgraded the old stock pioneer speakers with infinity kappa speakers. big improvement.

What CANBUS settings did u select?

you canbus may also differ from mine as lexus has a few different configurations
