Thanks!! I'm evaluating to leverage on black friday and move totally to FabFilter pluigins and basically minimize the use of others (mainly UAD). i use Reaper and I basically mix/master only my bands music, rock/blues. What do you think? Is this move worth? pro&cons? Thanks much!!
I’m a big fan of both UAD and Fabfilter. Plug-ins I use frequently are Pro-Q3 (this is on every mix I do). Plug-ins I use frequently and on most of my mixes and production. Pro MB easy to use and I love this on vocals. Pro-DS is my go to de esser. Saturn 2 is one of my favorite saturation plugins. I love the multi-band. I actually like volcano 3. I try and find uses for it when I need a unique filter. I do also like the Pro L2, Pro R2 and Pro C2. With that said I think Fabfilter offers a high quality product. I reach for Fabfilter often. The simplicity of the interface and features have kept them in my go to plugins. Cons I’d say. The price point. Black Friday and their Summer Sale are the perfect time to think about getting them. The interface though simple can at times feel complicated with so many options. Especially for beginners. I do feel there’s a transparency to most of the Fabfilter plugins. I think that’s why I like to use other plugins with them so I can add different colors to my mixes. (That’s just how I feel) Ultimately I’ve never regretted investing in the bundle. I use their plugins frequently. I feel if I needed to it would be easy to mix with just Fabfilter. I just personally like mixing them with other plugins. Hope this helps.
To me, the difference is more of an equal curve, As many have already commented, the mk 3 sounds darker. But I think that could be matched, if one wanted to match, with eq.
@@wilmaker I just use Ableton's stock eqs because it's more convenient and because I don't really notice any difference in the sound when using Fabfilter's eqs.
Your Active and Bypass demonstration was poorly done. Other tutorials do it without pause, and with graphics: ACTIVE or BYPASS. But you paused and spoke before demonstrating one and the other, which, sometimes, made it difficult to perceive the difference.

Sorry, which plugin are you referring to?
@@wilmaker sorry. I mistakenly commented on your video. My comment was intended for a boss katana mk 2/mk 3 comparison video. Sorry
@@kellypeterson2625no problem at all.
I only need pro L and Saturn.
The Pro L and Saturn are good choices. Curious what's your go-to EQ?

Nice! It’s hard to go wrong with most stock plugins.
Stock plugins are where it’s at for sure. Can’t go wrong.

Thank you for the feedback. Appreciate it.
