This is awesome, great video and thank you for the knowledge. @GE needs to take a look at this and definitely do some software updates to send notifications for all this small issues to make not only the machine better but the end user experience too, happy people will definitely be referring others if the experience that have is nothing but good.
@@retrotechandelectronicsI put some weather stripping around the edge of the filter to create a more snug fit. Per another video. Helped with less lint blowing through.

My GE Combo W/D failed to dry clothes after 7 months of use. 7 tech visits, new heat pump, new mainboard, it still fails. Even after the W/D cycle and adding another 45 minutes to the dry time . . . fail. GE Cares fighting tooth and nail to NOT issue an RA #. Regardless of outcome I will NOT be going with GE due to horrible post sales support. How many of you have 4 days of PTO to give up while tech guess at issues?
I have had an issue with one of my two units, the other one is grate but the one in question I have to remove from the app and unplug for 20-30min and magically it will start drying again no issues for a couple of months, to think of it last time it happened it was right around the time they pushed a software update and recently again the same thing happened 🤔
I've had a similiar experience with tech support. Our Heat Pump was sooo loud. Never fixed after at least 6 visits where I have to be here for the tech. Just living with it for now.
We recently bought one of these and we were a bit skeptical. Honestly I love it and recommend it highly, with some caveats. You need to understand that you can't over or under load the machine. If you put too much laundry in the machine it won't dry, just like a regular dryer. If you put too little in it, again it won't dry! I would never expect my regular dryer to properly dry a large or tiny load either. I wish GE would fix the smart dispense fabric softener notification though. I love being able to put a load of clothes in when I leave for work and come home to dry clothes, or overnight, the laundry is dried for me and ready to fold!
I am getting an faulty error code 8 meaning that the machine isn't getting enough water. I'm running water from my sink to the unit. Thanks for this video. I'll see about running a diagnostic on it.
My combo is over drying. It also will not allow me to select eco-dry for every load. Is there a way to set it to ALWAYS eco-dry. Why is it setting such ridiculously long dry times and over drying?

It showed they could have provided more to the user. In about four months we’ll be opening the heat pump for an inspection

I was hoping they would be sending out upgraded filters by now…. We’ll see how responsive they are.

A firmware update came out this week, they may have fixed a few issues, also added a pet hair mode
Is there a way to update my Wifi module? My software version is older but it’s just not finding the update when I try it through the smart HQ app

Did you check the diagnostics for a sensor issue
How do we fix the uneveness
The loading of bulky idems should be placed in along the perimeter of the drum to ensure that weight is evenly distributed.

Thank you , my unit is giving me a fault code of 25. Washing cycle stops after 2 mins into the cycle .
They were kind enough to put the technical documentation INSIDE the machine. The top cover has to be removed to get to it.
You did not give fix for damp clothes to dry.
This was a review of the hidden menu, not a fix for any issue with the drying function.
