      Should I resign if my manager has none of the traits? Plus my manager is self-centred and holds grudges. Occasionally spiteful. Feedback given but hardly any positive changes.

      these three are pretty good and valuable skills for everybody because i think everyone can be a leader at some point in a different situations and what is the most important is that you have to be a leader of your own life.

      @@kelsryosunmy guess is, his days are numbered. In 2-3 years, everyone will know the truth and he will move on. He probably gets a new jobs every 2-3 years.

    Doing the right thing, even when it’s difficult or unpopular, sets leaders apart.
    Simply following the law is not enough.

    Simon Sinek's insights on leadership are spot-on. Courage, integrity, and communication are essential qualities for any leader. Thank you for sharing your wisdom.

      Simon Sinek's insights on anything are blatantly obvious. I have never heard him say anything that has caused me to think "that amazing". Most people are like the crowd in the movie Life of Brian. Brian says "you're all individuals" which they reply "yes". Then a single person says "I'm not". Who's the individual? Simon Sinek is like Brian, he's a fraud but who people think he has wise words.

    I humbly appreciate this. We must learn to stand up and train those who are standing on the left of us and standing on the right of us and serving yet and are hardly paid though they show effective leadership and are change makers and abiding by principles and laws of nature.

    Simply LOVE you. Your stories, your vision and your passion to help others is so very inspiring. I know that changing the culture of my company will not happen overnight, but I can start with me and my team and hope it spreads like wildfire.
    I alone cannot “boil the ocean”, but there is much to be said about the ripple effect. ❤️❤️

      I wouldn't be too concerned, it's not as if Simon Sinek is a guru. Your three characteristics are just as valid as what he said, probably more so.

    1. Courage. Having the "courage to speak truth to power", "courage to be honest about my own failings", "my own capabilities". Hang on, but in another video when talking about workers, you put similar things in the context of 'feeling safe'. I see. So for a leader it's couragous but for an employee it's feeling safe. Got it. Simon Sinek, he never seems to disappoint. My dog makes more sense that this twit.

    Can we retire the word "leader?" It's so full of things that aren't helpful

    • @wolfsdecree
      @wolfsdecree 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      No, does help. If we did, we’d just be redefining another word or creating a new word to describe and mean the same thing(s). Doesn’t solve that problem, just creates additional confusion.

    Telling your staff that you have no idea is not courage...it's stupidity...and it brings absolutely no confidence or inspiration from your staff, in particular risk jobs like police and military.

    • @ProphetActual

      Correct, saying you have no idea and then derping around is stupid. But not because you said you have no idea, because you keep derping.
      Telling your staff you don't know how to do something, and then finding out how or getting feedback from the team absolutely builds trust.
