    An excellent review from a classy gentleman. I wish there were more of this kind on TH-cam.
    By the way, sir, I really like your attire. That's a lovely suit, shirt, and tie combination.

    It really is a stunning timepiece. Everything about it catches my eye and the movement is outstanding. It's a watch you could have for life and not need another. Good video

      As an owner of this watch. I enjoyed the video, presentation and the gentleman is the quintessential British gentleman. Do I have gripes? Yep.... No regrets, but the lum is fair. Not important to me, but thought I'd mention it. Bracelet ? I love it,but it'll be scratched to hell,and gone,before long. Again, not important. I've worn a watch as long as I can remember. Feels weird not wearing one, and I like quality, I know quality, and I don't want to be 1 of 10 guys wearing a submariner. Dad's got a 1975 GMT Pepsi dial,ill get one day,but it's not MY watch, its dad's. I own the aforementioned Turtle and a Tag Aquaracer, let me save you some money, don't by it, unless you don't intend to use it. Pretty, no heart. Good review, and as much as i enjoyed it, since it reaffirms my decision, I'd enjoy seeing a review from someone who actually uses it as it was intended. Capt.Bob, SV 27th Chance.

    Nice review. I really like the watch; simple, but with modern technology. My one concern, and it's a big one, it the height of the weight. The older I get, the more I appreciate a thinner watch... especially when wearing a suit.

    Great watch and I know they are going for the 50s look with this piece, but for the price the bracelet looks very clunky and cheap.

    While a retro look isn't really my first choice, this is unquestionably a lovely watch.
    My watch has the 8500 movement on it, which features a date. But more importantly I love how I can adjust only the hour hand without stopping the movement. For time zone changes on business trips, that is such a handy feature. Odd that they chose not to include that feature on the 8400. At least from this video it doesn't seem to be the case.

    • @samadrid6321
      @samadrid6321 9 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      +ZCT808 I have this exact watch and it does have the "time zone" hour hand quick change 8400 movement.

      +ryvr madduck Cool! I'm waiting to see a Master Co-Axial in the Planet Ocean or Planet Ocean GMT, then I believe I will be making another purchase...

      ZCT808 I like Omega. Before I got this one I was looking at dress watches, and a picture of this flashed past on a watch site. I remember my heart did a little twitch, going back for a second look, and I was hooked. Had it about six months not tired of it love it. I put it on an over size thick leather nato and had to notch the band where it meets the lugs. It sits big and leather tames some of the bling. The bracelet is highest quality, but I like the leather.

    • @ZCT808
      @ZCT808 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      +ryvr madduck It will be interesting to see Daniel Craig cause a big move to Nato after the next Bond movie.
      I notice there are already a bunch of people on eBay selling the new Nato Bond straps. Omega themselves have a Nato section on their web site where you can pick out a Nato strap and they show you three different watches and how they look on that type of strap.
      Clearly it's trending in watch circles.

    • @samadrid6321
      @samadrid6321 9 ปีที่แล้ว

      ZCT808 I didn't know the next Bond movie would have nato in it. I like them because you don't have to be as careful since most nato's are pretty cheap. Bracelets are somewhat formal and the watches I have make a lot of bling. I like low-key and the nato achieves that.

    There is so much I love about this watch. But why did they have to make it absolutely enormous? And this is coming from someone with 7.5 inch wrists. It makes no sense to me.

    I show this watch and felt in love with it. however I also like rolex datjust or explorer 1, I really like those three. I just don't have enough deep pockets to get them all 3. my question is then, which will hold its value better?

    • @valebliz
      @valebliz 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      probably the rolexes hold their value better. I would say the Explorer... but really but the one you like the most, regardless of economics.
