Brilliant! May I can suggest 3 universal phases for non-English speaking Chinese: 1. "I see!" - use to show you understand. 2. "Is it?" - use to show you understand. 3. "You know!" - use any time you want to say something or answer a question.
All the girls in the high school I went to used to say "no-wuh" instead of 'no' when they were being disgusted or with a great deal of negativity. Maybe that's how these interesting tone words start...? I think it's cool honestly.
