@@Ry-ss5dz This is how I know you're making that up. I've been to 5 games and each time saw at least 3/4 capacity. Considering that Glendale is a small plane trip away from places like downtown Phoenix and Scottsdale, the crowd was overperforming against some bad odds, having a mediocre team in a non-traditional market doesn't help either. Hockey is working in California, Texas, Carolina and Florida, it can do just fine in the Desert if the ownership respects the fans.

Avs fans almost had a reason to, because Radim Vrbata became Wayne Gretzky every single time he played against the Avs. It's an Avs Curse, players we give up on early go on to dominate against us.

They only made the playoffs 9 times in 27 years, winning only 2 series which were both in 2012. They also had one terrible ownership group after another. When Tempe voters rejected all 3 proposals for a new arena in the city, you knew the end was coming. Terrible ownership and so much losing year after year is what ended their time in AZ. It’s highly unlikely that NHL hockey will ever come back to the Phoenix area because the AZ state Department canceled a land auction that was supposed to take place in June of this year. Owner Alex Meruelo was expected to bid for the plot of land to try to bring a team back by 2027 but that all went out the window.

"Send home this crowd of 4600".... holy crap! 4600? no wonder they couldn't survive there playing in a stadium that small, there are high school teams that get that many people.

What a joke. They moved to that tiny joint like last year or something... before that they couldn't put 4600 people in a 17,000 cap building for last 20 years. Big surprise they're moving.

Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where George and Jerry go to the pizza place they used to hang out at in high school because they heard it was going out of business and Jerry goes to the owner something like, Hey! Haven’t been here since high school but we came back one last time, and the owner goes, Oh, well thanks for all your support.

The Arizona Coyotes did well this season - didn't qualify for the playoffs, but improved greatly upon their last season.
And of course, they did a good job to win their final game in Arizona before they move to Salt Lake City! Something positive for the fans in Arizona to remember.
