It is in-game calculation bug, the reward depends on stylish rank, and stylish rank (well) it is how many damage you deal, and since Vergil don't get style for his clone attacks, game thinks, that boss die from one shot. One strike deals small amout of damage in comparison with what you mean to deal, so you don't get any rank at all, than at the end of the mission game multiplies few times and somehow gets negative number

You need to beat SoS difficulty to unlock the ability to unequip Dante's sword and twin pistols. (It also allows you to equip 8 weapons at a time as well, letting you use rebellion, sparda and dsd in the same loadout if that's something you want to do.)

nope, he just don't have some skills at the beggining of the game, and since he doesn't have orbs to buy them, he just use what he can in alternative for this (usually, you can do last hit to the boss with end of ex-taunt animation)

There is an older video where he explains the glitch, but basically yo need to leave the Qlipoth roots on 1hp using your Doppelgager and Yamato combo C, then using Vergil you do the last hit the game glitches and gives you a ton of orbs, it has to be on human difficulty and Vergil can't hit anything else besides the last hp on the boss

Это баг расчётной системы игры. Ранг стиля зависит от урона, который ты наносишь, и поскольку чел никого не трогал (атаки допеля не засчитываются), а просто нанёс один удар (что очень мало и для подсчёта в конце этого не хватает даже на D), игра выдаёт отрицательное число и ты получаешь дофига орбиков
