    It would have been helpful to show what you did next. If I didn't read the comments how would I have known to cut the sheets a part?

    Hey guys, Morgan here!
    I haven’t been on my TH-cam channel and some time now. Just stumbling back into creating updates on my life I noticed there was many comments left for this video and questions on how the process works. I know it seems like it’s not possible to create stickers using a laminator, but it really does work. I was just experimenting on the process one day and it worked out. The heat is what kept the laminated sleeves stuck to the front of my stickers( making them vinyl quality) I kept the ones I used for this video and these stickers have lasted this entire time. So this method works. I will leave the links for the laminator and sleeves I used as well as the sticker paper in the description.
    Also:There is no reason to leave mean comments for this video when it was only created to help. Those comments have been removed and I will continue to remove any comment that is irrelevant to the content I create.

    How does the sticky backing still work if you laminate it? Would you mind explaining?

      DoodleCrew if I'm not mistaking when she cut the edge of the lamaite the seal is cut off only the so she can take both sheets apart and only have the picture on front lamanite and the back would not be lamatie off 1 sticker sheet. That's why she printed 2 sheets and put them together. Sorry hard to explain.

      DoodleCrew She put two sheets of stickers back to back. This means only both printed sides will be laminated when it goes through the machine. Then she cuts them out so that the unprinted side, which is on ‘unlaminated’ side, can be peeled off like a sticker :)

      The technique is really useful! Although, after separating the sheets and cutting the stickers with a pair of scissors, I noticed that the plastic is simply peeling off. I guess that since it's not glued but sealed, the cutting of the sides sorts of "opens" the seal and the plastic just comes off. Do you have any trick to avoid that?

      Hi! So you need to peel off afterwards, right? I tried this put with my paper it doesn't work. Do you have to put it in at a certain temperature or is there special paper?

      You needed to complete this video by opening up the pouch to show they were laminated one side only.
      I get a better finish if I place a piece of copier paper between the sheets

    It's kinda neat that you can turn matte stickers into glossy like this. Or is it not shiny enough to be called glossy? Kinda curious since I can't tell from the video's lighting.

      @@bambi1669 Hi Bambi ! I've stopped making hot lamination stickers because the result was too variable, but I know some people get good results. I used classic sticker paper and had many issues with lifting. Maybe vinyl helps...

    I don't understand how they become stickers...the back is not sticky

    • @nancyeaguiar
      @nancyeaguiar 5 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Since she laminated two pieces of paper back to back, only the parts that you can see on each side will be laminated. When she cuts the edges of the paper, the inside parts that you can't see (the sticky sides) will come apart in two pieces, the two pages you laminated. This technique will make only the printed side to be laminated while the back, sticky side remains "un-laminated". As long as you put two pages back to back in the laminator, the pages will come apart as soon as you cut the edges of the laminated pages. Too bad the video did not show that because its kind of hard to picture the final result...

      Her design was printed on Sticker Paper then she laminated them. So they were stickers before she even put them through the laminator. Sticker paper has a backing on each page that you peel off when you decide to use your sticker.

    kinda scared to use it on my stickers so i wanted to make sure.

    • @SerenityStationOfficial
      @SerenityStationOfficial 3 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      You would need to cut around the edges of the paper where the laminate has sealed by meeting itself. The paper will then separate into two laminated sheets of sticker paper which you can then cut by hand or put through your cutting machine. Personally, I would sandwich a sheet of copy paper between the two sticker sheets to give a better result. :-)

    Hi Morgan! I have used the same technique, but the plastic side of the sticker keeps peeling off (as if it didn't stick/melt properly in the laminator). Did you have this problem? Do you have a tip to share to avoid that? :(

    • @SuperAnnonamus
      @SuperAnnonamus 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      I never thought about doing 2 sheets at once, but I have this problem too... Unfortunately doesn't seem like she is going to answer since the video has been up 2yrs. I hope she does, because if she has tips to avoid this that'd be awesome. The only temporary solution I've found is use name brand laminating sheets and to undo it from the backing don't try to peel the front off the back, do the other way around. Hope that helps/makes sense.
