Every passenger inside a car should wear seatbelts. Parents should never let their kids come out of the Sunroof of a moving Vehicle, make them understand that its not safe, that's an extremely unsafe & stupid move to let your child out of a sunroof. Also, child seats are highly recommended and is a good investment for children between a few months to 5 years of age or under 4 feet of height traveling in a car.
Kudos for bringing this up. It was high time that someone spoke about this. Sunroofs are absolutely useless and nothing more than an expensive gimmick in our country. Apart from the weather there is excessive noise and air pollution which is just gonna add up to the stressful drive experience. And yes, safety is also a major concern. Hope buyers consider all these facts before buying a vehicle with a sunroof.
About the deaths that this guy has talked about, it feels like those could have been prevented if the occupants had worn their seatbelts. The guy who was thrown out off the sunroof might not have been wearing seatbelts, and therefore he was flung out of the car on impact. I think it’s important to advise the public on the dangers of not using seatbelts, even when sitting in the rear. Yes, sunroofs do post a hazard in the event of accident. However, the risk of ejections during a rollover can be mitigated by the use of seatbelt, which in this case was not done. In 1:16, you can pause the video and see that it is written “seatbelt use is commonly viewed as the number one preventative of partial ejection and complete ejection”. In the same paragraph, you can see that the risk of ejection whether partial or full is there for the side windows as well. However, due to the sheer size of panoramic sunroof, the risk is amplified. Also, there is no way to get the top model of a car without sunroof these days, since most cars, these days come with a sunroof, even from the middle variant.
Even our car does not have a sunroof and it's useless as many of our known people with sunroof car doesn't use it and in the place we live, the temperature reached about 50°C.

Agree to all the points against the sunroof here. Would like to add one positive : When you enter your car and its hot inside, then its generally recommended to open the windows for the first few secs after starting the ac. If you do the same but only open the sunroof, the car gets cooled much faster (hot air rises .. remember ??) . Also, the sunroof adds a sense of openness and space inside the car. One more danger that you can speak of. - many cities now have wires that are between buildings, on trees (Internet cables mostly) I have seen that these wires sometimes dangle low. In an SUV (already about 6 feet roof) kids standing in sunroof (7-8 ft) are exposed to this. Super dangerous.
sunroof is really good in summers for ventilation to cool off the car, it is good for defogging the car in winters, its is very good in fog where you need to hear what is outside but don't want buffeting, and it gives a feeling of openness or car feels less cramped especially when full of passsengers

This gave me more assurance and I settled for the GT. It's been 5 months, and watching this video has further affirmed my decision.❤❤❤❤❤
Fully agree with you. They’re quite unnecessary in India. I have a pre-used VW Passat, which is a marvellous car. One day, its sunroof stopped functioning properly. Although we don’t use or care for it, we checked the cost of repairs with the service centre. It was a whooping ₹ 1.5 Lakh, almost 25% of my purchasing coat of the car. We just asked them to slam it shut permanently. 😜
A good quality body, a good engine, AC and decent infotainment. That's it. Sunroofs are not in my list, also suggests others to don't buy a car with sunroof unless you want to dry your children or yourself out of it.
You are the only channel wchich adds value in car owners or potential car buyers knowledge. Appreciate the efforts you put in such content creation. Sunroof is bullshit and bigger and bigger sunroofs are becoming status symbol from which their filthy human creations peek out otherwise they are good stuffed inside car.😂😂😂
I own a car with sunroof, some time is it good facility 1. When car is over heated, and you want to start you can open sunroof and windows. This helps cooling down car quickly 2. When you go out and there is nice weather and scenery you would drive your car slowly and safely so your kids can enjoy view 360* Apart from this, mostly I don’t see much use. If you from value from money perspective I think sunroof is overrated.
In the first example of the Hector accident you quoted and other examples as well, it wasn’t the actual feature at fault, but the mentality of the people using the vehicle
Good to see the host advised everyone in India that this is another reason why everyone sitting in the car should buckle up when traveling. We Indians are notorious for ignoring every safety aspect advised to be taken when driving. For us safety is something extra not a necessity when using technology.
Mere dost ko maine yehi samjhaya tha. To usne exactly ye words bole "Bhai wo jo ek bar chalti gadi me sunroof me se bahar nikal ke dono hath khol ke feel aata hai wo har risk se bada hai" Ab wo mera dost nahi hai...
I agree to what you are saying, in fact I would want to buy the top spec car without sunroof, but apparently that's not possible, manufacturer should give an option of not buying a sunroof but still buy the top spec car
First thing first... seat belt is one of the basic safety feature in a car. Rest are supplementary. This August, my car with panaromic sunroof will 4 yrs old. I havent incurred a single paise on its maintenance so far.
The accidents at the start you mentioned could have been easily avoided by application of seatbelt. Not defending companies for compromised structure here. But people buy it because they want it. Still keep doing your good work. It's essential for people to know what they're getting into.
I love sunroof. But i like them only closed. Especially on cloudy, overcast day's.....feeling of convertible and 2 wheeler. More senses involvinv with nature
I have decent sunroof in my verna dct.positioning is so good that Its not accessible for standing in any case and such small that it doesn't effect safety at all
Bro hamari taigun pe ek bahut bada rock gira tha in Rishikesh last month... Wo itna bada tha ki roof andar bend ho gayi thi.. Thank god there is no sun roof in our car...
I think as per the Indian weather, Sunroofs should be replaced by lighter weight Solar panels, probably connected to a smaller backup battery, which could aide charging in a sequential hybrid or just propel the AC unit while at a standstill or movement. This could significantly bring down both, the fuel burn as well as the trapped heat in the car.
Sunroof ek use yeh hai Gaadi jab sun me khadi ho aur cabin ke ander ki heat ko nikalna ho toh uss point me sunroof ek extra window ka kaam karti hai cabin se heat throw out karne me as fater, but yeh uske liye itna bada sunroof Dene ki koi zarurat nahi, ek chota sa opening roof bhi kaafi rahega
The problem nowadays is that all top variants come with sunroof. You can't avoid them, even if you don't want. Govt. should step in. I also don't like touch screen controls of essential things like AC control, volume control etc. They distract big time while driving.
I don't prefer sunroof but there are 2 benefits of it: 1. It helps to get rid of hot air inside cabin in summers. 2. In case of accidents or floods, if side doors cannot be opened then passenger can be rescued from sunroof.
I think wo time aa gya jab climate ko dhyan me rakhte hue cars, buildings etc banaaye jaaye. Pehle har city ka unique culture hota tha, jaise Delhi, Jaipur, Mumbai, Chennai, Srinagar etc. Ham har jagah ek jaise cheeje nhi chala sakte

@@BertieJasokie I'm not even interested to purchase car not even in future. I'm type of person who do expenses only for needs.
Roti, kapda, makaan. Using my current phone from 5 years. I'm 20 year old.
Good one finally someone made a vid on this. Also in a car with sunroof ac efficiency is lower by 10-30% depending on how big is the car and the sunroof is …
Jaldi Jaldi Comment kar deta hu, bohot likes milenge 😁😂
un likes se 10rs ka biscuit bhi nhi le paoge
5:34 bro rocked😂😂😂🌪️🌪️🌪️
One more danger that you can speak of. - many cities now have wires that are between buildings, on trees (Internet cables mostly) I have seen that these wires sometimes dangle low. In an SUV (already about 6 feet roof) kids standing in sunroof (7-8 ft) are exposed to this. Super dangerous.
sunroof is really good in summers for ventilation to cool off the car, it is good for defogging the car in winters, its is very good in fog where you need to hear what is outside but don't want buffeting, and it gives a feeling of openness or car feels less cramped especially when full of passsengers
The fact that our car makers prioritize sunroof over basic safety like defogger is mind boggling.
Thanks for this video.
I was planning to gift a Sunroof Seltos to my family.
Now seeing this video, I changed my mind.
(and also saved lakhs)
the channel that awares people the use and unuseful things in a car. thanks for the video
Hey, I decided to go for the Taigun GT Plus last year, which is the top of the line and has a sunroof. However, after doing some research, I realized that I don't really like sunroofs.
Problem is top models comes with sunroof. Buyer should get choice in every variant with sunroof or w/o sunroof
A good quality body, a good engine, AC and decent infotainment. That's it. Sunroofs are not in my list, also suggests others to don't buy a car with sunroof unless you want to dry your children or yourself out of it.
3:49 "Sardi aur baarish main Sunroof ka upyog kar sakte hai" Hahaha
You are the only channel wchich adds value in car owners or potential car buyers knowledge.
Appreciate the efforts you put in such content creation.
Sunroof is bullshit and bigger and bigger sunroofs are becoming status symbol from which their filthy human creations peek out otherwise they are good stuffed inside car.😂😂😂
Bro you have courage to speak truth 👍🏻
I own a car with sunroof, some time is it good facility
1. When car is over heated, and you want to start you can open sunroof and windows. This helps cooling down car quickly
2. When you go out and there is nice weather and scenery you would drive your car slowly and safely so your kids can enjoy view 360*
Apart from this, mostly I don’t see much use. If you from value from money perspective I think sunroof is overrated.
Very important topic sensibly explained 😊
In the first example of the Hector accident you quoted and other examples as well, it wasn’t the actual feature at fault, but the mentality of the people using the vehicle
Super Super Video. Bhai Tumhen Sunroof per Nahin Roll over accident per Video banana chahie tha.😅😅😅😅😅😅😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Good to see the host advised everyone in India that this is another reason why everyone sitting in the car should buckle up when traveling. We Indians are notorious for ignoring every safety aspect advised to be taken when driving. For us safety is something extra not a necessity when using technology.
5:37 khandaaan😂😂😂😂😂
Excellent informative video
Better if companies provide sunroof as an optional feature n not mandate even on the top models.
Mere dost ko maine yehi samjhaya tha. To usne exactly ye words bole "Bhai wo jo ek bar chalti gadi me sunroof me se bahar nikal ke dono hath khol ke feel aata hai wo har risk se bada hai"
Ab wo mera dost nahi hai...
Already knew about this when I searched why FORTUNER doesn't give sunroof . Still I watched video as love your explanation 😀
Bro after watching your video i canceled nexon creative s variant and choose only creative ❤ thanks for timely upload of video ❤❤😊
The accidents at the start you mentioned could have been easily avoided by application of seatbelt. Not defending companies for compromised structure here. But people buy it because they want it. Still keep doing your good work. It's essential for people to know what they're getting into.
wondering what happened with that Ford girl in America as she too was ejected, was she wearing seatbelts or no?
Very true. No use of sunroof.
Thanks for bringing up this topic. This is really essential for road safety.
Very informative. People should be more aware about these and manufacturer should give this as options. In higher models, its not even an option...
I love sunroof. But i like them only closed. Especially on cloudy, overcast day's.....feeling of convertible and 2 wheeler. More senses involvinv with nature
I have decent sunroof in my verna dct.positioning is so good that Its not accessible for standing in any case and such small that it doesn't effect safety at all
Finally someone talking sense. Sunroof is not needed. It's a non-sense feature for India
thanks for making this video and these all points I had to justify to my family specially kids in our family and not brought sunroof variant
You can make use of sunroof in every season, even in Indian summer; that is at night time. My kid loves to stare at stars when I drive.
Bro hamari taigun pe ek bahut bada rock gira tha in Rishikesh last month... Wo itna bada tha ki roof andar bend ho gayi thi.. Thank god there is no sun roof in our car...
exactly, i booked an innova hycross but do not want a sunroof on it but there is no option in top model
Very good research and information.
Agreed.....
लेकिन उन गाड़ियों का क्या जो बढ़िया तो है लेकिन बिना सनरूफ के आती ही नहीं...... ख़ासकर टॉप मॉडल
🥲
Excellent info ! for sunroof crazy people of India.
Sunroof ek use yeh hai Gaadi jab sun me khadi ho aur cabin ke ander ki heat ko nikalna ho toh uss point me sunroof ek extra window ka kaam karti hai cabin se heat throw out karne me as fater, but yeh uske liye itna bada sunroof Dene ki koi zarurat nahi, ek chota sa opening roof bhi kaafi rahega
5:29 brooooo 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Very Very Good Video . No need for Sunroof
More than sunroof, biggest security threat is touch based controls for basic things like AC and fan speed or defogging
The problem nowadays is that all top variants come with sunroof. You can't avoid them, even if you don't want. Govt. should step in. I also don't like touch screen controls of essential things like AC control, volume control etc. They distract big time while driving.
Great job 👏
6:59 Le XUV 3XO - first in-segment panoramic sunroof 😂😂
Good job very informative thank you for making such informative video
Am I the only one who thinks that you have an uncanny resemblance with Mukesh Ambani?
Loved the content and thanks for sharing.
I don't prefer sunroof but there are 2 benefits of it:
NYC video Golu ‼️
