Yes this is clips from a movie put together and yes everyone has there own interpretations about ww2 history.. but one thing remains the same .. the tiger tank was in fact the most feared tank of ww2. Anyone from that time period will tell you if they saw one or what they thought might be one off in the distance they usually ran away and tried calling for some kind of back up or air strike on it because it became quick common knowledge that you probabaly cant hit it but it can hit you.. one of the best stories I've heard about a tiger was from a Sherman tank commander saying that they received intelligence that there might be German movement on the out skirts of a small town nearby ...they along with two other tanks were sent to investigate..when they reached the other side of the town next to a large building they slowly came around the side of the building and his spotter said he saw what he thinks is a large tank about 1500 yards out in a tree line ..they quickly backed up behind the building and then waam! The tank was full of smoke and they all bailed out.. the tiger had seen them peek around the building and from about 1500 yards shot them through the building taking out the drive on the Sherman..he said they grabbed as much as they could carry jumped on another Sherman and booked it out of there as fast as they could .. say what you want but dont call them cowards and try to understand what all these tank crews regardless of sides went through.. tank guys carried their balls in trucks..
@@Horcerer only one tank had the fire power to do what it did at that time and at that range.. they called an air strike on it and two other tigers near by so who knows but again this is a story told by a tank commander from ww2.. regardless it's the best real world description of what those tanks where capable of in battle so
@@Horcerer first of all not my story.. secondly you must have missed the part where they requested an air strike taking out 3 tigers at that location. Maybe they didnt know what kinda tank they were looking at.. maybe a panther equipped with a 75 could shoot through a building and take out the trans on a Sherman from 1500 yards.. now my question is why are you questioning a story told by a ww2 tank commander written in a book about ww2 lol
@@Horcerer your right.. history is full of bs..it never has anything new to say.. perhaps you should find something better to do with your time than questioning something written in a book.. my guess is you were not there for the design and testing of any german tanks from ww2 and are relying on info given to you by others as to what the guns on them were capable of doing.. I'm not about to argue with you..Google or wikpida..about the main guns on german tanks during ww2.. what I did do is share an interesting story related to the clip above about a common said fact about tigers during that time period...they were indeed feared like the story ..cool. Dont ..well dont but try and have a nice day.
The main advantage of the T-34 is not in the armor but in the first aviation-type diesel engine. The tiger is an undeniably excellent tank that also has weak points.
If it was a German tank it would be a joke It broke down a lot like a shit ton The person who made driving it was so exuisted and he got sick and ducking died Befor a battel they would put in a new engine They hade very bad sigths a would not be able to see any thing And the Sovjets and Russians hade a propaganda program for it
For anyone who thinks that something like this is impossible check this story out, In July 1943 an SS tank seargent named Franz Stautdegger was a tiger tank seargent in the battle of kursk in July 1943, he served in the german army and was in the SS leibstandarte. Stautdegger was Awarded the knights cross for taking out 2 T34s on his own without his tank, by throwing grenades into there open hatches. A few days later Stautdegger had some issues with his tiger and was MIA as a result, while his tiger was being repaired he heard that there was a platoon of at least 50 T34s headed his way to take over his sector. His tank was later fixed. Instead of retreating Stautdegger decided to move forward and attempt to stop the T34s push on the german sector. When he saw the enemy tanks he opened fire. One after the other each T34 was blown up. However during the battle, Stautdegger had ran out of Armour Peircing rounds and decided to move to Highly Explosive rounds instead, he was able to knock out 5 more T34s with them. After taking 67 hits from the T34s, Stautdegger began to worry about losing one of his tracks and as a result he pulled back. The T34s also pulled back do to there attack being ruined, by 1 tiger tank and its smart seargent and crew. Afterwards Stautdegger served under Michael Wittman during the battle at Normandy and fought at the battle of the bulge and survived the war. He died in Frankfurt Germany in 1995. Its not as impossible as it sounds. You cant make this stuff up, Things like this did happen.
On August 13, 1944, one T34 / 85 destroyed three Royal Tigers near the Oględów village in Poland - the rest of the tigers withdrew. This is also a true story. The tank was commanded by Aleksandr Oskin.
Mark Felton is a historian, so it makes sense that you would say that, i found out about Stautdeggers story when i was looking up German tiger tank commanders on the internet, i found Mark Feltons video shortly after, so yeah it was spot on.

@@KillerT-Bone I'm just going by first hand accounts from WW2 veterans who fought against the Germans in North Africa and Europe. They made the statements about the lethality of Germans tanks and the 88 gun.
You do know that this Tiger Tank is meant to be a GHOST, right? This is the film "White Tiger", and the title tank is basically a ghost of the battlefield. That's why it's able to annihilate those T-34s so easily. Plus the fact that instead of an actual fire rate for a Tiger Tank, this one is firing like a modern-day RAIL GUN.
Celvin Gylang For this particular film, yes, I mean a literal, paranormal ghost. You’ll notice in the first scene, where it has a one-one-one duel with a T-34, the T-34’s shots appear to be going right through it and doing absolutely nothing to it, instead of either bouncing off or causing damage. Also, when you watch the film, a captured German officer states that there are no official records of that particular Panzer Mark VI ever being built, and the other German soldiers who have heard about this tank aren’t having their resolve strengthened by it, but they’re actually TERRIFIED of it.
Never heard of white tiger, but during the battle of kursk 1 tiger took out 50 t34s, battle of Berlin 1 tiger took out 100 russian tanks, many tigers took around 75 hits and kept going. So this depiction didn't need a supernatural tank, that's just how they were.
This scene has been taken from a movie called "Белый Тигр" and is not based on historical events, it is completely fictional. (Just in case someone uses this as proof for an argument, it won't work)
But actually during the Battle of Kursk there was a Battle between one German tank vs 50 Russian tank and guess what the German tank knocked down more than 20 tanks before finally retreating
I'v seen this movie last year while visiting Hungary in Budapest, amazing Film a piece of History the Russians would like to forget!! Tiger the most feared Tank of WWII even the Americans and the British feared it in Normandy. The Tiger been in operation till the very End of WWII. Maybe the most respected Tank by the Enemy!! Thanks for the upload.
It's some nice action sequences from "White Tiger". Yet, the film is rather about the myth of the "Tiger" among the Red Army tank troops, that is, getting smoked from beyond 1,500 metres while never seeing the actual enemy. This diffuse fear is manifested in the film by the "White Tiger" tank, which is why it has this crazy firing rate, accuracy and downright invincibility. In the film the protagonist tank commander himself quasi-dies when his T-34 gets smoked by this invisible enemy (which in reality was the German Pak-artillery in most cases). He then pretty much exists as an Automaton of War, solely for the sake of war, which is why the last scene between the colonel and protagonist in the film is exactly how it is. The situation at 3:50 is pretty much what many a Red Army tank platoon experienced when being "thrown" at the enemy: getting picked off by Pak artillery from the distance. White Tiger is an excellent film that deals -- in good Russian cinematic tradition -- with the esoteric substance of things.
The Panther Tank was one of the greatest tanks on the battlefield well that's awesome 75 mm Cannon it could destroy a Sherman at over two and a half miles away it was the most accurate tank on the battlefield the Tiger tank however had a 88 mm anti flock cannon on it and when you got hit by a shell from a tiger the results were devastating

Funny thing. The Tiger Tank is made to resemble the Porsche Tiger. Of which only one made it to the Eastern Front. And that one was used as a HQ Tank for a Tank Destroyer Unit. Wonder why there were no Lend Lease Tanks shown such as the Valentine or Stuart, or the Lee or the Sherman? So many present, probably wanted to down play the fact that USSR needed Allies to win.

Spalling fragments and burning are awful ways to die. I’d rather take a bullet. I don’t blame those guys for booking it at all
@@Horcerer only one tank had the fire power to do what it did at that time and at that range.. they called an air strike on it and two other tigers near by so who knows but again this is a story told by a tank commander from ww2.. regardless it's the best real world description of what those tanks where capable of in battle so
@@Horcerer first of all not my story.. secondly you must have missed the part where they requested an air strike taking out 3 tigers at that location.
That's why it's able to annihilate those T-34s so easily. Plus the fact that instead of an actual fire rate for a Tiger Tank, this one is firing like a modern-day RAIL GUN.
Sorry, i dont understand, you mean that Tank is literally a ghost (paranormal activity)?

Tiger alone isn't a big threat its just a ghost tiger.

@@franconero2866 It´s a scene from a movie called the white tiger. The tiger in the movie is an unbeatable ghost and therefor destroyed all the T-34s. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Tiger_(2012_film)
I think you mean "Overlord", not "overload".
@Jll LLv Just to avoid being genocided, along with the rest of eastern Europe you mean.
the sound design for tiger 88mm is very interesting. it's not realistic in any way, but the subtle "nyom" after the bang really gives the menace to the tiger
Stalin chose quantity over quality while Hitler chose quality over quantity
*Stalin sending tanks in until the german tanks have no ammo left*
Quantity over quality is very effective especially your quality enemy is running out their best quality equipment or troops
The story of tiger1 against dozens of t34 is real, but not the white tiger
Taken from the film.
The White Tiger (Action, Adventure, Fantasy, Director: Karen Shakhnazarov , 2012 )
Based on a version of the Tiger that never existed
t34 tanks: look at this little fella doing here. I'm sure it will not do anything
tiger tank: *proceed to start a doom music*
