Managed to get one of these i7 8GB RAM 512 SSD - 1080p 120hz display. Also got the one with Windows Hello built in. It's pretty snappy. Also the price on the second hand market is decent. Snagged it at about $450. Would recommend for anyone looking for a laptop for productivity, some software engineering work (recommend setting up WSL2) and basic content creation.

These business class laptops may be expensive at launch but the thing is that, even you don’t want to spend that sort of money on a computer, these machines are still worth looking at. After a while, as IT departments of big firms start to upgrade their laptop fleet, they tend to appear on the second-hand market and are usually cheap. However, in terms of specs and durability they are often still much better than ordinary consumer-level laptops sold in stores to everyday users. I bought my Thinkpad like this (even got a warranty!) and I couldn’t be happier with it. My next laptop will probably also be one of those - cheap, durable and in excellent condition.

Hi, AMD. Great review. This seems to be a truly awesome laptop. I just have two questions - is it possible for this unit to come with an optional Nvidia GeForce MX250 GPU? Is it also possible for it to have a killswitch for the webcam? Coz I do think that if it did manage to have these two options in addition to the legacy ports, high performing specs and 4G LTE, it would be the zenith of a 13" convertible.

On the other hand it's literally the only streambook available right now. As a gamer, i can setup parsec on my machine and do 1080p120hz game streaming from my main machine.
Everything else that has a high refresh rate is paired to a dGPU and is marketed almost exclusively at gamers.

Mine is a FHD model with PFilter. Seriously.. unable to use it directly on my lap while wearing shorts. I think it might burn my skin.

It's 2021 now, still in a pandemic, and the 1030 G3 is still the best laptop. Even the new 1030 has a worse webcam and only 60Hz panel options without hardware power/volume rocker. Strangely I think the G3 with the right configuration is still the best purchase, even now.

I received this laptop for work. I had a choice of this laptop, a few Dell options, and a Macbook Pro. I chose this based on this review and spec. I had to write a review. This laptop is terrible. Performance is terrible, the fan won't stop running, the battery lasts only 4 hours. It locks up constantly. I want my Dell XPS 13 back. It was so much better.
