Oooo, it's an awesome day when I get new Star Wars figures, and it's even better when Hasbro releases a whole wave of new Black Series. I love Rebels and I've come to appreciate The Phantom Menace, so I welcome EPI Obi-Wan along with Ezra and Chopper. I don't read the comics but 000, BT-1, and Dr. Aphra are so good I may just have to start checking them out.

@26:09 Finally figured out what the wheel leg slots/nibs are for and why it sticks out just so far - When the wheel leg is pushed completely in, lift him up and rotate the wheel 90 degrees and it basically will slide out from gravity (that’s what those little slots at the top are for - nibs inside the body hold it in place until rotated then the slots slide down). Works quite well, but wish Hasbro would have documented it somewhere (or if they did I haven’t seen it).
Seems like a good wave to me! I would love a Zeb too. I really don't mind the newer format of reviewing the whole wave at once.

The Fwoosh, from someone who is also mostly into the movies, I have to say that Dr. Aphra is amazing. It's as if Han Solo mated with Indiana Jones and had a young lady that loves homicidal droids. If you read but one comic series, make it this one!
Ah yes another wave we won't get in the panhandle, I'll be looking forward to not seeing these in stores anywhere near me being forced to pay inflated eBay and Amazon prices!
Hands down one of the best waves of Black Series in a long time. Such a refreshing wave. Still need Zeb to finish off the Rebels crew and Black Krrsantan for the Aphra crew but man o man is this wave fun. Aphra up there in favorites Black Series figure since Tarkin and Jaina Solo.
i really like the idea of this wave, aside from Obi Wan the rest of the wave is rather obscure characters to most average joe star wars fans. I really hope we get more people like this in the future, i mean obviously one of them being Zeb (rumors are we will get him before the end of the year).
Idk anything about that yet I see Christmas wishes realized. 😉
Hopefully a Ventress too.
I'm still hoping for Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors.

This is my kinda wave! The OT isn't my era of SW. The Prequels, The Clone Wars, Rebels, current books and comics are my SW. So I'm loving that moved towards that. This Ezra is great but I REALLY hope we get other seasons of the Rebels characters. And maybe Thane Kyrell and Ciena Ree.
I feel like the wash on Obi Wan was not Needed but that’s just me. Obi Wan is my favorite Black Series figure.
Other than the weird legs, that ezra figure is kinda perfect imo
You should read all comics with Dr. Aphra. Start with the 2015 Darth Vader series, which is just five graphic novels. Then go for Aphra's own series, which is completely insane as much as it's so much fun. You can also read them online too.
So excited to grab Ezra and Chopper! And Zeb has to be inevitable at this point. I won't hold my breath for Old Man Rex, but he'd be a great addition, as well!

Love this wave!! Just put in my order on entertainment earth. My walmart was not got new black series since solo came out. How is that even a thing!? I’m so behind on action figures though because sometime last winter I was given a few lego sets (the falcon and anakins star fighter) and that unleashed the flood gates. I was taken back to my childhood and love of lego. Now that i can buy the big sets my parents wouldn’t and convince the wife they’re for the kids too lego has taken over and kinda spiraled out of control. I have huge lego builds popping up all over the house they are displayed. My house has become a child’s dream toys in every room. Soon the wife will snap i have dismantled several shelves of her knick knacks to make room for toys. I’m going to try and convince her to let me buy the house next door and make it my own personal play house then I can display my entire 35 years of collecting. Robot stay clear of lego it will suck you in I promise. I can’t tell you though how beautiful it is to see my huge rebel squadron I have assembled it is a site to behold!
I dig the Paula Abdul reference. I feel like I take two steps forward when I get my paycheck, and then two steps back when Hasbro released new Siege Transformers and Marvel Legends figures.
Having more rebel figures is always a win in my book, not really familiar with the comic characters but I’ll probably pick up BeeTee cause he looks so cool
And I love prequel figures!!! I now have Qui-Gon Jinn, Darth Maul, battle droids And Obi Wan!!! Phantom menace figures FTW!!!!

The vintage collection should be copying the Black Series articulation, not the other way around. Ezra was looking so great.
This wave is perfect for me,the Obi wan is perfect on the shelf with my FiguArts Maul(missed the FiguArts Obi)Finishing off the Rebels crew besides Zeb,and Aphra’s crew is awesome too
I pre-ordered this entire wave from my local Gamestop... So far in 4 separate trips to the store, I have Ezra, 000, BT-1, and Aphra... Still waiting on my Chopper and Obi-Wan. Kind of strange that the store just didn't get the entire case all at once.
That obi wan + the upcoming general kenobi will make a great custom! I've been wanting the perfect kenobi and this might get me to where i want

I ordered this wave from Walmart at $18 per figure. It has now been delayed twice. First it was “ready for pickup on July 3rd” then “ready July 6th” and now August 1st. Not a happy camper.

Today I found a great deal for him. He was 80 bucks with a box and trust me 50 bucks is gonna be hard to find. I don't know if you can get him for 50.
I really wish they'd use a figure slot, or even potentially a wave, dedicated to the force unleashed games. I say a wave because starkiller has so many outfits, you could make a wave out of it.

Pretty solid wave I'd say. I think Zeb will definitely be revealed at SDCC or leaked before it. Ultimately, I'd hope they reissued Sabine, Hera, Kanan, and Thrawn with the photo real whether single packed or in a 4 pack with more accessories. Really hoping for some Expanded Universe characters like Kyle Katarn (DF1 or 2 look), Dark Troopers, or hell, even Dash Rendar.
Have Chopper on order! The rest weren’t yet available oddly enough, or perhaps everybody else already sold out except Chopper, who I want most of all (but the Death Drioids are tickling my fancy big time!). But Hasbro....oh Hasbro, to use your 1 step forward 2 (or more) steps back, just as FacePrint or RealPrint, whatever they call it, was just looking like SH Figuarts was getting amazing competition for a third of the price - they have to go and screw it up! I swear they have a SuccessNotOfficer constantly on patrol at Hasbro so any time they get close to doing something right or awesome, Officer OhNoYouDont steps up with a truncheon and cow prod to make sure they will...not...succeed! So FacePrint looks fantastic on the first few figures...Rey, Mace, Leia and others...and we can’t have that, especially with waves and archive figs doing well, so Officer NoUDont trips the gloss coating reserved for the eyeballs and makes it cover the entire face! (Or most of it, I swear Rey that you show has a matte band at the very top of her forehead immediately below her hairline). These figures don’t look sweaty, they just look wrong. And glossy eyes that added that extra tiny bit of hyper realism is now all over the face and it’s ridiculous, shiny faces with shiny cheap plastic looking bodies, but no happy people that I can find (yeah, bad REM reference shows I’m grouchy and old!). So SH Figuarts has once again effortless pulled ahead...at least 2 steps. And yes, I agree (for the umpteenth time, and will continue until Hasbro freaking fixes it) Hasbro’s Astromech body is wayyyy TOO SMALL!! FIX IT HASBRO! Except you can’t fix something that messed up so make a new sculpt, stop popping out even more incorrectly scaled astromechs and make a new R2-D2 that comes at least somewhat close to the amazing Figuarts, Bandai and Mafex R2’s. And make a new properly scaled IG-88 while you’re at it because he is also too freakin small. I’ll volunteer to do your scale research for FREE because whoever you pay to do it SUCKS in many instances that are easily demonstrated. ...Wow, okay, didn’t realize I needed a venting session so bad, and sorry to sound like a wack job who missed his medication, but I missed my medication and my therapist says it can lead to emotional outbursts. ;-)
I bought the Qui-Gon from however long it was ago
and with the Obi-Wan and Maul coming out i'm going, "Well sh&t, i bought Qui-Gon, now i have to buy every phantom menace figure forever"

Some nice figures in this wave, even though I don't know the rebels characters they look awesome and some may be useful for custom fodder

"Torture hands!" LOL. Great vid, Robo. Sad to hear about the weird hip/leg articulation for that Padawan Obi-Wan. That's the only figure I'm really interested in. I really hope they re-release Qui-Gon with the photo real head. I'm also annoyed that the Celebration Obi-Wan Padawan came with additional "force" hands. Those should've come with the regular release as well. >:(
Didn't it just come with the two finger doink hand that he didn't even use until later movies? And yeah, we need a Qui-Gon redo, the head was another experiment that was interesting but didn't quite hit the mark.

It's funny; I dont "play" with my figures, I usually just open 'em, mess around with the possibility for a second, then throw them on the shelf in a rather neutral pose. So I have no idea why im complaining about the hip joints on Kenobi and Ezra, but goddamn do I hate those joints. We gotta make it known this is not what the mojority wants or otherwise Hasbro is gonna start making this a common thing with newly scupted figures from here on out.
It just makes them that much harder to pose and even stand. The other way works so well, why change it?

The Wave 👋 as I see it:
1. Obi Wan is the same as the card, but there are differences. His face is shinier and has a glossy look. Great face print look. Yeah, I'm looking at you Mr. McGregor!
2. Triple Zero is a great droid. Looks cool, but I know nothing about him in the comics and that's great too. It's a droid. Going to pick up an extra one, paint it silver like the droid in Phantom Menace.
3. Bee Tee is another droid with a great head sculpt and gear. Love the extras...another sweet droid.
4. Dr. Aphra...dont know her, don't care. Easy pass for now. We shall see.
5. Ezra Bridger is well done. Love Rebels. Now we need a Zeb to finish the set of heroes (we are waiting Hasbro 😏)
6. Chopper is super great. Flame mode. Wheel mode. Arm mode. And a spunky droid to boot!
All in all, looks great.
Hasbro has stepped up and the game is on!

Crap, I had no idea what they'd done with Ezra's hip articulation. That is, very confusing and a hair worrying. I gotta get him for my Rebels team, but damn. Really, really hope they give us Zeb, though.

My favorite are three. Obi-wan, Dr. Aphra and BT-1. I have those 3. I really don't care about the rest from this wave.
Chopper and Ezra are definitely the best figures in this wave, my personal opinion anyways. And I love Aphra and BT-1 as well. 000 and Obi Wan are good figures too. So overall, another great wave. Come on Hasbro, give us Zeb, Kallus and even Governor Pryce already.

I'm really kicking myself for not getting the Dr. Aphra figure when I came across it at my local Gamestop store a year ago. Now it more than tripled in price, especially on Ebay..
Fantastic wave, however I’m not that familiar with the comic book characters. Despite that the droids are awesome. Obi-Wan looks incredible too. Great review. Love that you did the whole wave in one video review. Well done!
This was my first time watching one of your reviews, and I have to say I really enjoyed it, liked how you did the whole wave and not just one figure. Your're definitely right about Zeb hasbro needs to stop messing about and get him to his crew and family, but of cause this will then mean we still require Agent Kallus (w/removable helmet).

If I had the 000 figure, I probably wouldn’t have both of the “murder hands” in use at the same time. Same for BT1. I’d probably only have one of the big guns on him.

Great review robo! I like the whole wave reviews. And oh boy I'd love them to continue the doctor aphra gang and make a black krrsantan, which is a wookie. I was excited for obi wan and ezra too, but y joints just kill it for me. Y joints in my opinion is hasbro regressing to the dark ages.
I need these droids badly. I somehow want Chopper and BT-1 to fight each other in a cartoon, but unlikely. ;p

Its great but i would really like a darth nihilus figure and a jedi temple guard figure cuz in the 3.75 saga legends the articulation of the temple guard is not good , you cant even rotate the wrist to do a pose of a double bladed lightsaber
I really hate the new style of lightsabers they introduced with Grievous, they feel a hell of a lot more breakable as the plastic is a lot harder and the peg is much thinner. I loved the style they were using with the same size peg as the blade they did with the new Vader.

I’m down for Zeb BUT he needs to come with photo real Kanan and Sabine heads. Those are the only two that seriously suffer from the old paint technique.
I already figure he'll be a deluxe, but photo real heads for the others? I'd pay even more.

I hadn't realized that people don't consider Rebels stuff as OT. Idk if I'm alone in this, but I tend to consider anything during the Empire's rule to be OT. Like, Rebels, Rogue One, and Solo fit in with the OT better than they do the PT.
I only call the first three movie OT because it literally means Original Trilogy, which by definition mean three movies. Everything else is that era, sure, but calling them OT just seems wrong.

As an EU fan, this might be one of my favourite waves yet. great character choices, great execution, but I'm not a fan of those hips either. Otherwise, Hasbro did a great job across the board. Also, the Aphra comics are a blast. There's really nothing else like them in Star Wars.
Yeah, it's awesome to see characters I never thought we'd get in plastic. I want more main OT but digging deep is also just as fun.

Amongst my many problems with Hasbro, the packaging has been too tight lately. Some lightsaber blades that I try to get out end up pretty bent than before.
That and the faces are coming far too glossy, I give them that spray but it just doesn’t do the trick.
Biggest problem with this wave, Aphra’s face does not look right next to her comic appearances. You could argue it’s because comic to realism, but she has too wide of a face and then some.

I am glad Marvel Legends is going ham right now, because I didn't pick up ANY of these figures. I have Obi from Figuarts and the rest of them I have no idea who they are! So many aliens and droids from the movies they could be putting out.
This was the first fwoosh vid i had ever watched
It’s crazy how Hasbro can take a simple design and add tons of sculpted details and paint for Star Wars but for Marvel Legends comics characters they remove details and don’t sculpt hardly anything.
