In another collaboration with Zachary of @bgwfans and @intim305, we have created this interpretation of Kings Dominion's next planned coaster, expected in 2025. This rendering represents our collective "best guess" interpretation of the plans acquired by Zachary, and everything shown here is created to be as close as possible to said plans. Nothing in this video is based on any official information and should not be taken as such.
STATS OF THIS PRECREATION:
Height: 130ft
Speed: 62mph
Length: 3,048ft
Inversions: 5
Trains: 2 x 20 passengers - บันเทิง
This will be epic! They could even stick some rock facade on the Flight of Fear building to help with the theme
Fences up, footers going in, it's happening!
This is the perfect addition to the park. They needed a more modern launch coaster, something off the track, and something big... and they got it. Normally, I would shrug my head at another mediocre B&M being added, but Kings Dominion already has two world-class coasters and doesn't really need another. They needed depth and this will give them the depth they need to be a legit park again.
Way better than their original Winged coaster plans! Step in the right direction for KD!
Except that the original concept proposed in 19 wasn't legitimate, it was just some teenage fanboy's personal wishlist idea for what HE wanted to see as a replacement and let's not forget that that original rumor came from the very same fan site that's presented the current rumor when NOTHING official has been confirmed by either cedar fair or kings dominion themselves.
KDfans damaged their reputation by posting a rumor that proved to be false the first time around so that track record makes it very difficult to trust the legitimacy of any information they may present in the future.
There's an old saying in the amusement industry that those who know don't tell and those who tell don't know.
@@michaezell4607 Kings Dominion definitely was planning on that original blueprint. COVID/outrage made them change their plans.
Looks like an awesome ride! Definitely a worthy replacement for Volcano
The way this is gonna add such a huge kinetic and interactive element to Jungle X-Pedition has me so excited I only live an hour and some change from here.
Have to assume some near miss theme elements will be added as well
Looks like it's gonna be on par with Thunderbird. This ride is gonna be a great addition and another solid supporting coaster to the lineup! If only BGW added something to compete lol
Busy Gardens is already beating KD in every field.
@@joeyharper4976 kings dominion has better top coasters than Busch with i305 twisted timbers and this thing soon
@@joeyharper4976 How so? They each have different ride types. I would love to see a modern Hyper at KD but that ain't going to happen.
It's a shame that water flume dark rides are almost a thing of the past now. Closest ride you can get to that now is the former Splash Mountain rides at the two US Disney parks being rethemed to Tiana's Bayou Adventure or something. I rode Haunted River and Smurf Mountain during a boy scout trip in 1993, and returned in 1997 with the boy scouts and was bummed the mountain rides were closed with a sign saying Volcano coming 1998. I don't ride coasters. I was also bummed the Old Dominion Line steam train was gone. I read it was removed after 1994 and one train went to Busch Gardens Tampa and the other locomotive is now at Worlds of Fun in Kansas City after spending some time in Oklahoma. Cedar Fair isn't big into dark rides, well at least KD still has the Boo Hill haunted mansion ride. And Paramount stripped the park of most of the classic rides including the slow family rides, the monorail, the sky ride, the steam train. They still have the antique cars. Kings Island in Ohio still has a steam train and new antique cars built a few years ago by the back of Racer.
Theming is gonna be EPIC! KD50
Looking at photos of gatekeeper at CP there doesn't appear to be a support column in the center of the zero G roll through the keyhole so it could be quite possible that the first element following the launch might be a zero G roll rather than a simple cutback element.
looks like a very fun layout! could be a top 3 wing coaster
Looks like a very solid attraction, interested to see if the major retheming rumors for the park come to be true
Excellent work thanks for all the effort put into it
Track has started to arrive and apparently it's a teal green color rather than the color depicted in this video.
Yep, I’ve seen it. Colors are almost impossible to predict. My reasoning for using this orange & white scheme, is that color scheme was shown in the initial leaks of the station renderings.
Are you going to remake with green/teal track?
Way better than the original idea that came out a few years ago. Dont get me wrong, this is amazing (im not knocking the work that the person who made the video did) im saying If I were KD I wouldve made some changes so the coaster isnt so basic. Maybe a zero-g stall replace a corkscrew, maybe an outward banked turn, and the last row should be reversed that would be epic.
Just hope it has a near miss element with the twisting structure. Then it's be better than thunderbird to me
Track has arrived and we now know the color! They went with a nice teal ish color, glad they didn’t go with orange since that is the same color as the newly painted Avalanche
Yep! Would have been an overload of orange in that area, even the scrambler is the same color.
Also in regards to the original 2019 rumor, let's not forget that the removal of volcano was a last minute decision on both the park's and cedar fairs making due to the fact that the ride required a custom made replacement component that would have taken quite possibly a full year to manufacture and deliver as well as install and test.
With that in mind there was no way that cedar fair could have had a replacement attraction ready to install for the 2019 season. As of 25 it will be 7 years since volcano's sudden removal due to the circumstances that the park couldn't forsee happening we don't know for sure if the final concept was approved by CF or not as sometimes parks change their plans at the last minute.
Anyone remember how in 2001 KD was originally intending on installing a vekoma flying Dutchman coaster but paramount parks dropped the exclusive contract they had with vekoma after the prototype, stealth proved to be a maintenance and capacity nightmare for CGA? Originally CGA was supposed to install hypersonic xlc but KD did instead meanwhile six flags picked up the two remaining flying Dutchman coasters and built them at their closest parks with six flags Ohio receiving the coaster originally intended for KI and SFA receiving the coaster that was originally planned for KD in 2001.
Funny how one of those Flying Dutchmans ended up going to KI regardless
@@StormBreakrYou have to keep in mind that Cedar Fair purchased all of Paramount’s parks as well
This is a lot better than their original plans. I would have preferred a Hyper Coaster, but this is still a step in the right direction for Kings Dominion.
I love B&Ms oversized and stretched corkscrews.
Wow ziet er leuk uit
❤
Exciting!
Some pieces of track have started being delivered and they seem to be a dark green instead of a tan/orange color.
Looks nice
In my opinion, I perfer Kings Dominion to get a S&S Axis or an Gerstulaur Inverted Launch Coaster rather than a B&M launch wing coaster so Volcano can be revived but with a new modeled terrain mountain and Yeah, Kings Dominion needs to get an S&S Terrain Axis coaster or a Gerstulaur Terrain Inverted Launch Coaster to bring back Volcano with a new detailed model mountain. I would rather scrap the entire B&M Wing project to revive Volcano converting it into a Gerstulaur Terrain Inverted Launch Coaster or scrap the entire B&M Wing Project to Revive Volcano with a new modeled volcanic mountain converting it into an S&S Terrain Axis Coaster. Coasters built by both S&S and Gerstulaur are affordable and they won't rip you off, burning your money like what Intamin did.
Looks beautiful! How long did it take to model everything around it?
I reused some aspects from a previous project, so this whole thing came together in about ~3.5 days!
Track is now arriving in a teal colour
It’s exciting that your feet will be able to hit the ground between every single element
Very fun and smooth coaster!!! How long does it take to build such a nice coaster?
Apparently over a year. They started this year before the park opened for the season. There are lots of boarded up areas in Jungle X. So, we will be definitely riding something awesome next year.
We can only hope that this is accurate to what will be made. I do wish that first cutback/overbank was actually an outer banked turn. I feel like that would be awesome. I do love the interaction with the guest areas.
I did mock up a version with no banking at the top (like a regular tophat), but that was beyond what I was comfortable predicting. Much more likely to be banked inward than outward
It’s B&M we are talking about, I’d say that an inward bank turn is 10x more likely than outer bank, given that this is a wing coaster
@@NathanHydra lmao I knowww.. but imagine if B&M decided to make their coasters.. exciting, and got a little less predictable
@@MLDesigns you did a fantastic job and this is likely it. I just personally think and outer banked turn there would be sick
Other than a station rendering no other layout information is currently available. My guess is that the person was trying to make a layout designed to fit within that small footprint....however there's always the possibility that the design could involve having the ride go north between reptilian and the safari amphitheater and out into the parking lot rather than being confined to volcano's original footprint.
What are you talking about? The acquired plans show the exact foundation locations. It's not some secret; click the kdfans.com link in the description and you can see them yourself. It doesn't go to the other side of Reptilian or the amphitheater.
If they reverse the last row this would be perfect
Are there going to be any near miss elements?
Hopefully! This was created based only off foundation plans, so theming likely would come later/wouldn't need to be filed with these plans. Time will tell!
Name it "Thunder Lizard" JK
As a psychiatrist and clinical psychologist, we recommend clinically depressed persons ride on rollercoasters for 30 to 60 minutes nonstop three times a week for six weeks. This can occur prior to the amusement park opening with special permission and arrangements from its administration.
Has this been approved yet or just assumption? Is this a leak?
Leak, see the article linked in the description!
It's all a rumor as nothing official has been confirmed.
They already laying coaster track now. It's going to be green like Tumbilli NOT orange like Reptilian.
Yep, and I’ve already made a new video with the correct colors.
It will open 6 years after Volcano's extinction.
If only the seats rotated.😢
Idk. It looks like a lack luster of a ride
It’s too short!
Looks better than mandrill mayhem
Looks like another rubber band layout coaster. Nothing new on it. Schwarzkopf would have designed something more intense...
Too short!
This should be almost identical in length and element count to Thunderbird!
Hey, be glad it's not the one from 2019
This is almost 30 seconds longer than the original Volcano, so they did great with the amount of land they had to work with.
Will be a nice addition but it's not super interesting
Name it Non-Binary 😂😂😂😂
why
Because that's the new Gender that there shoving down our throats its fucking ridiculous there are only 2 genders in the world A Man and A Woman that's it there no in between@@farrahrotman
Don't give these woke companies any ideas.
