Still loving it. Sorry for all the comments. Just want to help you find all the best ways and options. Remember each skill levels by using it and that’s the only xp you gain in the game. In your speech tree there are bonuses for prices and you can also equip gear that improves prices or enchant it yourself. So many things lol. In another 10 years you’ll know it all
Different weapons have different finishing moves. Even dual wielding swords has its own finishing moves. The more you level up your weapon skill trees, the cooler finishing moves you'll unlock. Like decapitation for example.
I'd be wary of storing anything in the cabin, most storage places will eventually de-spawn your stuff if they're not in your own home. Also, keep in mind that the world is VAST and the things in your inventory that seem precious now will be just trifles in the future, there are a few things like the Sword of Whiterun that you'll never get again if they're lost, but most things can safely be sold or destroyed without worrying too much about it.
From the UESP: The cabin's basement is non-respawning, meaning that all containers are safe for storage. Several of the containers on the ground floor of the cabin are also standard safe containers (e.g., the cupboard and dresser). Be careful, as the barrel is not safe. Additionally, neither is the Apothecary's Satchel.
Yes. The cabin is good for temporary storage, but no more than a few in-game days. There are actually a few safe containers in the cabin, but there's no way to know which ones without looking at the game's innards or finding someone on the Internet who has.
One general bit of Information: stuff like finding the sword for Amren is a miscellaneous quest. those can also have quest markers. For Example Amren would have had a marker on his head when you were trying to find him. To enable those markers BOTH the specific objective inside the "Miscellaneous" tab AND the miscellaneous tab ITSELF need to be active (have the triangle-ish symbol infront of them. You activated the Objective for Amren inside the Miscellaneous tab in the beginning but the Miscellaneous tab itself never was active. If you set the Miscellaneous tab to inactive (as it is at the moment) ALL objectives inside it are also set to inactive. Of course you can still complete these objectives, you just won't get a marker for them.
Also, for quest items. You can’t sell them. You can’t even just drop them or store them. If you don’t keep up with misc quests, the quest items can clog up your inventory weight.

Also, I’ve mentioned misc quest markers in two previous videos comments as well. I don’t think they’re reading all of them.

The buy/sell price of items is baseed on the base price of the item (which you see when you pick it up) and your speech skill/perks. As your speech skill increases (& or you activate the haggling perk) items will cost less for you to buy & you will get more for items that you sell.
Also, if you give a gold piece to a beggar before selling stuff, you will get a temporary 10% bonus to buying/selling. Some amulets and equipment can also help with prices. When your speech (and other skills) increase, your level increases, too. As you level up, you will see better and more expensive equipment.
For alchemy if the top left effect for each ingredient is "Unknown" you can actually eat the ingredient to learn what it does. Useful for future mixtures giving you an idea of what it may be compatible with.

Cabin! And you staved off Bethesda's Mega Boss: Inventory Management! Tips: -Wolves are not your friend! Unless you use that Bosmer racial ability. -Unless it's needed for a quest, you should eat every new alchemy ingredient you discover, it teaches you the first effect (more with alchemy perks). -Value of items is based on your Barter skill, the value listed on item is the base value and early game Traders will get the better of you. -Disenchant items with a lower value/effect % as it only teaches you the effect, not the % of item disenchanted; the bonus applied to enchanted items is based on your Enchanting skill level

That troll… seriously Bethesda. I know you like TROLLING the player but did you have to put a level 22 frost troll in the way of low level players. The amount of times I died to that troll. 🤦🏻♀️
Wanted to mention that sleeping has value in this game. Sleeping at an inn or house that you own gives you the well rested bonus. That's a 10% increase in all skills for 8 hours. Sleeping anywhere else, bedroll or dungeon for example, gives you a 5% bonus. If you sleep an for an hour in every cave or dungeon you enter you can level much faster.
Cabin! Don't worry about disenchanting things like Necromancer Robes. You can find those all over. Also, doing little side quests around Whiterun at first is a great way to build up your XP so that when you go do some of the tougher main quest missions you are better prepared.
Best way to level, is too cheese sneak, one-handed, and two-handed to 100 on ralof or hadvar. Then cheese conjuration and illusion with soul trap and muffle. Then power through ahziduls descent in solstheim get the free magicka power at the end and use telekinesis for free levels.
I never get tired of your reactions to the kill cams... it's so awesome to see someone discovering Skyrim for the first time after all these years. I got it on release in 2011, and I still pump a good few hours in every year. I got rekd at that cabin in one of my early playthroughs when I decided to play on Legendary difficulty. Keep up the great content!
I'm just shocked to see someone get killcams that aren't game breaking. I don't think I've ever gotten one that worked properly, and I just stand there awkwardly as bandits kill me. I usually mod them away.
I thought it was funny when you discovered Anise's Cabin wasn't what it appeared to be. I remember when that happened to me the first time. My reaction was about the same. Like "Aw man.. She wasn't such a sweet old lady after all"
Cabin: Check your speech skill for ways to increase your buying/selling abilities. Also, there are a few unique items, but most items you will find tons of, like the clothing with the skull, you'll find many of those. Enchanting should be started sooner than later, it's extremely useful.

Cabin sweet cabin lol, was like nooo when you went downstairs, I new she'd attack you and you wouldn't want to kill her, but nvm live and learn. It's part of the game. I'd recommend waiting until you have a house before storing anything because it will disappear. Also most of the stuff you have you can disenchant to learn the skill, only items with really unique names keep. Loving the dragon cameo, just popped in to say hey 🐲 Can be fun but also super annoying, middle of quest, running heavey and low on potions when, wait what's that, oh just a dragon landing in your path, great just great... then you see how fast your dude can run 🏃♂️
The videos of people playing for the first time are full of very funny sensations for those of us who have been playing for years, I reckon that's why I watch this videos. Meeting people who can be an enemy but still say, ...Hi!, I am amused, as I have also seen people who are amazed to discover things that with time they will realize that they are simple. Not to mention the world of Skyrim, you could make videos for years and you also have a very friendly way of playing, other people are killing all they can.
Tips for this video~ i won't spoil the gameplay, just tips for personal knowledge 😆 1) 17:53 taking this scenario as example, you can release the wolf in cage to let it dmg the enemy... be aware of your surrounding for traps or levers.... sneaking = squat down, the cursor you see -.- is like a human eye, when it is like -.- this, it means they can't see you, when the eyes opened up, they are quite aware of your existent 2) To recognize one or two handed weapons, look at the handle, if it's long, it's two-handed, vice versa. 3) keep a pickaxe with you all the time, mining ores are necessary as ores will "smelt" into different kind of ingots which you need for blacksmithing for weapons or armors. 4) lots of junks are categorized in "MISC", be mindful of your weight limit, adding Stamina will increase your maximum carry weight limit. Be selective of your junks/weapons/armors which you picked that you want to sell, the higher your speechcraft, the better the price the shop will offer when you sell to them. 5) When you sell items to the shop, they will have a gold "limit" which is like their cash on hands, if it reaches 0, whatever you sell them will have no money receive 6) For followers, "wait here" is equal to the follower wait at the exact spot you left them, if you select "part way" they will go back to the home which they originate froms, Lydia will be at Dragonreach if you don't have a home, if you have, she will be at home, waiting for you 😆 7) For disenchanting items, an item will be sacrifice to learn its effect, it doesn't really matter, since after learning the effect, you can enchant it onto a new item with the learnt effect. Skill: Enchanting Last but not least, Anise is a bad witch acting innocent, when you discovered the basement, she will try to elimanate you for uncovering her secrets... so dont feel bad😁😁 just loot whatever is in the CABIN, she's dead and no point leaving those items unwanted eh?🤣🤣
3.5) If you swing a pickaxe as a weapon on ore, you can mine it MUCH faster than waiting for the animation. edit: Oh, yeah - you can also do this while dual wielding pickaxes. Gets ore *fast*.

Anise's CABIN is just a shack. Not long now before you can afford your own house in Whiterun. When you are trading the prices depend on your speech skill. You can increase this to get better deals at shops or to be more persuasive in conversations. Swords, axes and hammers all have both one- and two-handed versions. Food never go bad. It doesn't help much tough as you saw, you're better off stocking up on potions. Keep those videos coming, loving this playtrough.
Cabin...You don't don't own the cabin. If you leave things in containers you don't own they'll eventually disappear, sometimes fairly quickly. Also, bodies eventually despawn. If you haven't looted it, the loot will go with it. Oddly, if you loot it and drop the gear, the gear will stay there unless somebody picks it up. You've left Lydia behind but she's still your companion since you just told her to stay. If you want to run with somebody else you'll have to back to Lydia first and release her from your service. She'll still be your housecarl and you can invite her again later if you choose to.

Yay!! I love that old witch’s Cabin! On the xbox controller, you can hold down the a button to hold and move certain things around…corpses included. Took me a bit to figure that one out. Not really useful, but lots of fun. 🤩
Cabin..... Don't worry about breaking down the items... there's plenty of items with the same enchantments usually... and once you get your smithing leveled up you'll be able to make items better than just about anything you'll find in the wild. I seriously love seeing how much fun you're having! Makes me nostalgic. I've played it for so many hours and I still love it. I always come back.
Cabin You can store stuff in the cabin basement with out it disappearing. Don't worry about destroying items, trust me you will see it again. Have fun, I enjoying your journey
Pick up all arrows lol. Zero weight. Always look at weight value ratios. You only need about 110 carry weight if you have your armor, weapons, soul gems, potions of cure disease and health. I generally keep a bow and a dagger as well. But each dungeon you should loot and travel to different places to sell. When you get a house store your rare and unique items you’ll find. I’m sorry for all the comments lol. But I’m loving watching you find new things and the Skyrim community is awesome for the thousands of things you can do. It will take you hundreds of hours to figure out half on your own. Appreciate Your playing this. Been a great watch when I’m too tired to play myself
Yeah your learning so much about the game in this episode young padwan (Yoda reference)! Anyhow, with the cabin thing ... well I wouldn't trust storing your stuff there. The game only guarantee's your stuff will persist in owned houses. Also, one thing I wanted to mention sooner, that with your Quest Journal ... you can "turn on / turn off" the quest markers with the action button, it should help you find your way to your objectives. Also yes; it is a thing with the Carry Weight being so low, especially in such an early level. It'll only get worse the more stuff your trying to carry. There is also a "Carry Weight" Enchantment that you can find that might help; but ideally you should sell the stuff as you've been doing. You can even return to the places you just were, and pick up more stuff before the dungeon / encampment "resets". There are other "more advanced" ways to make Gold, but I'm not going to spoil your play-through; but getting your first house should be a priority as soon as you get enough gold; IMO.
Yess, love it when you just explore around, doing misc quests. It's the best way to find hidden locations and make your own story. I highly recommend using fast travel less and traveling through the rough country, you never know what you might stumble upon!^^ The Cabin isn't really safe to store your stuff, yes it will probably get stolen eventually (in game terms, the chests and cupboards will respawn and delete your items).
Hello! I think I started following this channel when you had around 7k followers lol. I am absolutely loving your playthrough of Skyrim. And for your 1st time ever I am very impressed on how you're pronouncing the names in this game. I've watched every video in its entirety so here we go: As the Hero exited the cave he could see the "Mountain" in the distance not knowing where to go aside from seeking out a new town he came across a "Dragon" flying high in the sky. Danger approached and lo and behold a "Spider", as he crushed it to death he was able to see a "Moth" sitting on top of a Leaf of a tree. The Hero, still looking for the next town started to "Shout" as he came across a "Troll" and a "Vampire" vanquishing it and seeing the "Skull" on the ground. Finally he came across a "Cabin" where he can finally rest. OMG LizXP this is amazing. Your secret words can write actual storybook!
The average CABIN skyrim player meeting Ulfr the Blind : "yes it's me" then sneaks behind the old bandit, slits his throat in the most gruesome way and proceeds to empty his corpse and the room of any valuable. Liz meeting Ulfr the Blind: "oh yes it's me, please enjoy your potato soup, sir! Don't mind me!" then proceeds to empty the room of any valuable. Very refreshing ;).

I remember attending my local Gamestop's midnight release of Skyrim and how magical the game seemed when I first played. Over the years, I've felt that magic fade bit by bit over the years and I finally became jaded with the Elder Scrolls games after Morrowind. Seeing the way Liz's eyes light up when seeing the sights I've seen many times before has rekindled that love I had for the world of Tamriel again and made me want to get back to playing it again. I'm glad I got recommended episode 2 of this series by TH-cam and I eagerly await every episode. Thanks for bringing back the good ol' days for me. Also; Cabin 🙂
Nice exploration episode. I've never actually even seen Anise's *cabin* myself - just goes to show the sheer amount of stuff you can miss if you don't take the time to explore in this game. Game Mechanic - The house in Whiterun costs 5,000 but furnishing it with alchemy benches, bedroom etc costs another 2-3k. The Tundra Homestead just outside the town costs 7,500 but is fully equipped with smithing etc. Incidentally I don't remember you doing the smithing training. it really is worth it to get better gear. As usual loving the videos, I'm not at all surprised you've got to 10k followers.
Mark 12:24. Hmm. I don't remember who or where or why, but there's one place with a person, in need of, "Ruined Books". The dilemma is hauling them just in case you ever get there. But if you never do, you feel silly and want to sell them. 😁🙂
Those containers at the cabin... You can store things in containers you don't own - for a while. Don't leave them there for a long time and expect them to persist. The original state of the container will re-spawn.
I have used Anise's CABIN for a house before in the early game. I stored things in the basement and never lost any items, but I guess it could happen, especially if you don't return very often. But it would probably be safe until you can afford Breezehome in Whiterun. You can easily get free quarters by joining the Companions, or the Mage's College, too. There will be containers for you to use. I did lose my items at the Mage's College once because I did not return for a very long time, but it's safe for temporary use. Keep having fun!
Cabin!!! NI have played this game since it's beginning (over 6100 saves) and I have never once tried to use the cooking pot! Duh! Thanks for teaching an old Skyrim hand a new trick!

I was litterally catching butterflies when I pick a blue one and see something further out coming my way....I did not survive this butterfly hunt 🤣
Cabin. I found it fun to watch you going solo without a follower. It went pretty well for you. I haven't tried that myself. I didn't know the cabin had a basement. Always nice to see something new or overlooked.
Anise's Cabin is not the only place with an Arcane Enchanting table. You'll find them in many places. With what you've explored so far, the easiest one to reach is in Dragonreach, the Jarl's palace in Whiterun. It's in the wizard's office, just to the right of the throne room. You'll need Soul Gems to enchant things, and you need to destroy items to learn enchantments - and don't worry about keeping that stuff (unless it's really high-powered), because you'll find plenty of other stuff in your travels, and learning the enchantments means you'll be able to make your own cool stuff anyway.
i wouldn't get too hung up about destroying cool looking stuff, almost everything looks cool 😂 never knew ansie had such dark secrets in her cabin, gonna check that out for sure
Been binge watching your skyrim stuff… brings me back to memories of my first play through. A few tips, You can actually equip your followers with armor and weapons to beef them up a bit… you can do thar by talking to them and trading things with then Also, the power you have to call on the wildlife to fight for you, its the same button as your shout. You have to “equip” it first in the magic menu… you can only use 1, either a shout or a power for that button… Looking forward to more skyrim vids!
Congratulations on the 10k!!! I love looking at your face when you get one of the cool kill animations. Here's a bunch of non spoilery tips: -If you tell your companion to "stay there" they'll stay there but still be your companion. If you want to dismiss them and free the space up, you have to select the last dialogue option. -You got the quest to go see Aventus Aretino from a tavern keeper who told you "there's a kid in Windhelm called Aventus Aretino who's trying to contact the Dark Brotherhood" a few episodes ago, but you seem to have forgotten it. -I think the value you can seel the items for depends on your speech skill level. Poor Anise. Just a nice witch living in her Cabin and murdering travelers until the Dragonborn comes along. :P Swords/longswords, maces, war axes and daggers are onehanded melee weapons. Greatswords, warhammers and battleaxes are twohanded melee weapons. Bows are ranged weapons. Staves are (usually) short-ranged magical weapons. Scrolls are one-use spells that does not require magicka to cast. You equip them as a weapon to use them. Spells have a wide variety of effects and require X amount of magicka to cast. You can cast them over and over until you magicka runs out. Shouts are separate, magic that does not require magicka to cast. The shouts have a cooldown period though, and your compass will glow blue after using a shout, gradually fading back to white until you can use the shout again. Powers are once a day use abilities that do not require magicka to cast. There are also separate abilities for werewolves and vampires, but we'll cross that bridge if we come to it. :)
Back when I played, I'd always have plenty of meals to use to heal myself, after fights. I only ever used potions *during* fights. You always have problems with a cabin in the woods. 😁
Just wanted to say I’m loving these videos! I’ve played Skyrim since it came out and it will ALWAYS be my favorite game. I’ve done the main story quest at least 20 times at this point, because it just doesn’t get old. It’s so fun watching you experience everything for the first time!!!❤️

Regarding your shout confusion: shouts are classed as Powers, which has a dedicated button on your controller. You equip shouts (and powers) to this button, just like a spell or sword. You can also favourite shouts (and powers) just the same. Hope this helps!

You can consider that cabin to be one of your homes now. It's the starter home for many a Dragonborn. You will need a few grand more than the 5k if you want to buy the Breezehome in Whiterun because a home is not much good unless you can spend a few grand outfitting it. I don't know if you're a swordfighter, a smiling assassin or a fire babe but eventually you'll have to decide so you put your upgrade points into the appropriate skills. You wouldn't do well spreading points around like a jackie-of-all--trades. You'll definitely want Lydia whenever you fight a dragon and you will want to so you can absorb more dragon souls to unlock more shouts. You'll soon be finding more shouts as you start doing tougher dungeons. Nice job handling the surprises!
Take every arrow as an investment. When you have thousands, level up your speech and sell them all. You can carry an infinite amount and save them in a chest to keep your inventory less crowded. Once your iron ones are worth something, sell all but your favorite kind. (Tip), if you have DLC, save elven ones though.
Great episode and yes I did make it to the end where I saw you essentially murder that old woman outside her CABIN, lol....Sure she's a witch but she was minding her own business until you decided to sneak into her basement and discovered her dirty lil' secret. What the Hell is a Witch supposed to do? lol. Everything was fine until you decided to go where you weren't supposed to go....You got blood on your hands, girl.....
If you hold “A” on a corpse you can pick it up and move it like items. There were many play throughs I would go straight across to Anise’s Cabin and just merc the poor old lady so I could have a stash house early in game lol
There's a random encounter spawn point on the ridge between Anise's Cabin and Riverwood, and I've sometimes seen her get into a fight with enemies that appear there if they're sufficiently hostile and detect her. It can be pretty funny. (Cabin again)
Here for the playthrough and when you get over encumbered with the small items you keep grabbing lol. I just zoomed through rooms, im such a different player. I always go back and watch lore videos and people like you play so I can see what I missed.

This is very good info. Don't trust any container that isn't in one of your homes. Only a very small few are safe but most are not.
From the UESP: The cabin's basement is non-respawning, meaning that all containers are safe for storage. Several of the containers on the ground floor of the cabin are also standard safe containers (e.g., the cupboard and dresser). Be careful, as the barrel is not safe. Additionally, neither is the Apothecary's Satchel.
Yes. The cabin is good for temporary storage, but no more than a few in-game days. There are actually a few safe containers in the cabin, but there's no way to know which ones without looking at the game's innards or finding someone on the Internet who has.
Anise's cabin is a safe place to store things. Trust me, it's my only home for the first 30 levels or so.
If you store things at Anise' Cabin, you have to store it I the cellar. The barrels above ground can respawn, not the ones underneath.
One general bit of Information: stuff like finding the sword for Amren is a miscellaneous quest. those can also have quest markers. For Example Amren would have had a marker on his head when you were trying to find him. To enable those markers BOTH the specific objective inside the "Miscellaneous" tab AND the miscellaneous tab ITSELF need to be active (have the triangle-ish symbol infront of them. You activated the Objective for Amren inside the Miscellaneous tab in the beginning but the Miscellaneous tab itself never was active. If you set the Miscellaneous tab to inactive (as it is at the moment) ALL objectives inside it are also set to inactive. Of course you can still complete these objectives, you just won't get a marker for them.
Also, for quest items. You can’t sell them. You can’t even just drop them or store them. If you don’t keep up with misc quests, the quest items can clog up your inventory weight.

yep, absolutely no red flags here.
The buy/sell price of items is baseed on the base price of the item (which you see when you pick it up) and your speech skill/perks. As your speech skill increases (& or you activate the haggling perk) items will cost less for you to buy & you will get more for items that you sell.
Also, if you give a gold piece to a beggar before selling stuff, you will get a temporary 10% bonus to buying/selling. Some amulets and equipment can also help with prices.
When your speech (and other skills) increase, your level increases, too. As you level up, you will see better and more expensive equipment.
For alchemy if the top left effect for each ingredient is "Unknown" you can actually eat the ingredient to learn what it does. Useful for future mixtures giving you an idea of what it may be compatible with.
She started by doing that, but then someone suggested she just mix her potions willy-nilly on the off-chance she suffer some minor effect by eating.

Tips:
-Wolves are not your friend! Unless you use that Bosmer racial ability.
-Unless it's needed for a quest, you should eat every new alchemy ingredient you discover, it teaches you the first effect (more with alchemy perks).
-Value of items is based on your Barter skill, the value listed on item is the base value and early game Traders will get the better of you.
-Disenchant items with a lower value/effect % as it only teaches you the effect, not the % of item disenchanted; the bonus applied to enchanted items is based on your Enchanting skill level

That troll… seriously Bethesda. I know you like TROLLING the player but did you have to put a level 22 frost troll in the way of low level players. The amount of times I died to that troll. 🤦🏻♀️
Wanted to mention that sleeping has value in this game. Sleeping at an inn or house that you own gives you the well rested bonus. That's a 10% increase in all skills for 8 hours. Sleeping anywhere else, bedroll or dungeon for example, gives you a 5% bonus. If you sleep an for an hour in every cave or dungeon you enter you can level much faster.
Cabin! Don't worry about disenchanting things like Necromancer Robes. You can find those all over. Also, doing little side quests around Whiterun at first is a great way to build up your XP so that when you go do some of the tougher main quest missions you are better prepared.
The anniversary edition has added a lot of side quests that are for high level characters.
And a few of those items are unique. House isnt far away…might as well wait til theres a duplicate.
Best way to level, is too cheese sneak, one-handed, and two-handed to 100 on ralof or hadvar. Then cheese conjuration and illusion with soul trap and muffle. Then power through ahziduls descent in solstheim get the free magicka power at the end and use telekinesis for free levels.
You can fund the ahziduls descent quest with the Dawnstar and whiterun blacksmith chest.

I never get tired of your reactions to the kill cams... it's so awesome to see someone discovering Skyrim for the first time after all these years. I got it on release in 2011, and I still pump a good few hours in every year. I got rekd at that cabin in one of my early playthroughs when I decided to play on Legendary difficulty. Cabin: Check your speech skill for ways to increase your buying/selling abilities. Also, there are a few unique items, but most items you will find tons of, like the clothing with the skull, you'll find many of those. Enchanting should be started sooner than later, it's extremely useful.

Cabin sweet cabin lol, was like nooo when you went downstairs, I new she'd attack you and you wouldn't want to kill her, but nvm live and learn. It's part of the game. I'd recommend waiting until you have a house before storing anything because it will disappear. Also most of the stuff you have you can disenchant to learn the skill, only items with really unique names keep. Loving the dragon cameo, just popped in to say hey 🐲
Can be fun but also super annoying, middle of quest, running heavey and low on potions when, wait what's that, oh just a dragon landing in your path, great just great... then you see how fast your dude can run 🏃♂️

The videos of people playing for the first time are full of very funny sensations for those of us who have been playing for years, I reckon that's why I watch this videos.
Meeting people who can be an enemy but still say, ...Hi!, I am amused, as I have also seen people who are amazed to discover things that with time they will realize that they are simple.
Not to mention the world of Skyrim, you could make videos for years and you also have a very friendly way of playing, other people are killing all they can.

Tips for this video~ i won't spoil the gameplay, just tips for personal knowledge 😆
1) 17:53 taking this scenario as example, you can release the wolf in cage to let it dmg the enemy... be aware of your surrounding for traps or levers.... sneaking = squat down, the cursor you see -.- is like a human eye, when it is like -.- this, it means they can't see you, when the eyes opened up, they are quite aware of your existent
2) To recognize one or two handed weapons, look at the handle, if it's long, it's two-handed, vice versa.
3) keep a pickaxe with you all the time, mining ores are necessary as ores will "smelt" into different kind of ingots which you need for blacksmithing for weapons or armors.
4) lots of junks are categorized in "MISC", be mindful of your weight limit, adding Stamina will increase your maximum carry weight limit. Be selective of your junks/weapons/armors which you picked that you want to sell, the higher your speechcraft, the better the price the shop will offer when you sell to them.
5) When you sell items to the shop, they will have a gold "limit" which is like their cash on hands, if it reaches 0, whatever you sell them will have no money receive
6) For followers, "wait here" is equal to the follower wait at the exact spot you left them, if you select "part way" they will go back to the home which they originate froms, Lydia will be at Dragonreach if you don't have a home, if you have, she will be at home, waiting for you 😆
7) For disenchanting items, an item will be sacrifice to learn its effect, it doesn't really matter, since after learning the effect, you can enchant it onto a new item with the learnt effect. Skill: Enchanting
Last but not least, Anise is a bad witch acting innocent, when you discovered the basement, she will try to elimanate you for uncovering her secrets... so dont feel bad😁😁 just loot whatever is in the CABIN, she's dead and no point leaving those items unwanted eh?🤣🤣
3.5) If you swing a pickaxe as a weapon on ore, you can mine it MUCH faster than waiting for the animation. edit: Oh, yeah - you can also do this while dual wielding pickaxes. Gets ore *fast*.
Gotta say it was entertaining to see you discover Anise's secret. Her cabin seems so quaint til you get to the basement. Lol

When you are trading the prices depend on your speech skill. You can increase this to get better deals at shops or to be more persuasive in conversations.
Swords, axes and hammers all have both one- and two-handed versions.
Food never go bad. It doesn't help much tough as you saw, you're better off stocking up on potions.

Cabin...You don't don't own the cabin. If you leave things in containers you don't own they'll eventually disappear, sometimes fairly quickly. Also, bodies eventually despawn. If you haven't looted it, the loot will go with it. Oddly, if you loot it and drop the gear, the gear will stay there unless somebody picks it up. You've left Lydia behind but she's still your companion since you just told her to stay. If you want to run with somebody else you'll have to back to Lydia first and release her from your service. She'll still be your housecarl and you can invite her again later if you choose to.

On the xbox controller, you can hold down the a button to hold and move certain things around…corpses included. Took me a bit to figure that one out. Not really useful, but lots of fun. 🤩

Don't worry about breaking down the items... there's plenty of items with the same enchantments usually... and once you get your smithing leveled up you'll be able to make items better than just about anything you'll find in the wild. I seriously love seeing how much fun you're having! Makes me nostalgic. I've played it for so many hours and I still love it. I always come back.

You can store stuff in the cabin basement with out it disappearing. Don't worry about destroying items, trust me you will see it again. Have fun, I enjoying your journey
Pick up all arrows lol. Zero weight. Always look at weight value ratios. You only need about 110 carry weight if you have your armor, weapons, soul gems, potions of cure disease and health. I generally keep a bow and a dagger as well. But each dungeon you should loot and travel to different places to sell. When you get a house store your rare and unique items you’ll find. I’m sorry for all the comments lol. But I’m loving watching you find new things and the Skyrim community is awesome for the thousands of things you can do. It will take you hundreds of hours to figure out half on your own. Appreciate Your playing this. Been a great watch when I’m too tired to play myself

Yeah your learning so much about the game in this episode young padwan (Yoda reference)! Anyhow, with the cabin thing ... well I wouldn't trust storing your stuff there. The game only guarantee's your stuff will persist in owned houses. Also, one thing I wanted to mention sooner, that with your Quest Journal ... you can "turn on / turn off" the quest markers with the action button, it should help you find your way to your objectives. Also yes; it is a thing with the Carry Weight being so low, especially in such an early level. It'll only get worse the more stuff your trying to carry. There is also a "Carry Weight" Enchantment that you can find that might help; but ideally you should sell the stuff as you've been doing. You can even return to the places you just were, and pick up more stuff before the dungeon / encampment "resets". There are other "more advanced" ways to make Gold, but I'm not going to spoil your play-through; but getting your first house should be a priority as soon as you get enough gold; IMO.
Yess, love it when you just explore around, doing misc quests. It's the best way to find hidden locations and make your own story.
I highly recommend using fast travel less and traveling through the rough country, you never know what you might stumble upon!^^
The Cabin isn't really safe to store your stuff, yes it will probably get stolen eventually (in game terms, the chests and cupboards will respawn and delete your items).
Hello! I think I started following this channel when you had around 7k followers lol. I am absolutely loving your playthrough of Skyrim. And for your 1st time ever I am very impressed on how you're pronouncing the names in this game. I've watched every video in its entirety so here we go: As the Hero exited the cave he could see the "Mountain" in the distance not knowing where to go aside from seeking out a new town he came across a "Dragon" flying high in the sky. Danger approached and lo and behold a "Spider", as he crushed it to death he was able to see a "Moth" sitting on top of a Leaf of a tree. The Hero, still looking for the next town started to "Shout" as he came across a "Troll" and a "Vampire" vanquishing it and seeing the "Skull" on the ground. Finally he came across a "Cabin" where he can finally rest. OMG LizXP this is amazing. Your secret words can write actual storybook!

I remember attending my local Gamestop's midnight release of Skyrim and how magical the game seemed when I first played. Over the years, I've felt that magic fade bit by bit over the years and I finally became jaded with the Elder Scrolls games after Morrowind.
Seeing the way Liz's eyes light up when seeing the sights I've seen many times before has rekindled that love I had for the world of Tamriel again and made me want to get back to playing it again. I'm glad I got recommended episode 2 of this series by TH-cam and I eagerly await every episode. Thanks for bringing back the good ol' days for me.

Nice exploration episode. I've never actually even seen Anise's *cabin* myself - just goes to show the sheer amount of stuff you can miss if you don't take the time to explore in this game. All the more reason for me to pick it up again...

Game Mechanic - The house in Whiterun costs 5,000 but furnishing it with alchemy benches, bedroom etc costs another 2-3k. The Tundra Homestead just outside the town costs 7,500 but is fully equipped with smithing etc. Incidentally I don't remember you doing the smithing training. it really is worth it to get better gear. As usual loving the videos, I'm not at all surprised you've got to 10k followers.
I love how you didn't want to kill Anise at the cabin lol, you're trying to be nice to the NPCs.
Mark 12:24. Hmm. I don't remember who or where or why, but there's one place with a person, in need of, "Ruined Books". The dilemma is hauling them just in case you ever get there. But if you never do, you feel silly and want to sell them. 😁🙂
Those containers at the cabin... You can store things in containers you don't own - for a while. Don't leave them there for a long time and expect them to persist. The original state of the container will re-spawn.
I love how you collect everything. I used to do that a lot myself. It helps if you bring a follower with you and have them carry everything for you.
I have used Anise's CABIN for a house before in the early game. I stored things in the basement and never lost any items, but I guess it could happen, especially if you don't return very often. But it would probably be safe until you can afford Breezehome in Whiterun. You can easily get free quarters by joining the Companions, or the Mage's College, too. There will be containers for you to use. I did lose my items at the Mage's College once because I did not return for a very long time, but it's safe for temporary use. Keep having fun!
Cabin!!! NI have played this game since it's beginning (over 6100 saves) and I have never once tried to use the cooking pot! Duh! Thanks for teaching an old Skyrim hand a new trick!

Cabin. I found it fun to watch you going solo without a follower. It went pretty well for you. I haven't tried that myself. I didn't know the cabin had a basement. Always nice to see something new or overlooked.

Anise's Cabin is not the only place with an Arcane Enchanting table. You'll find them in many places. With what you've explored so far, the easiest one to reach is in Dragonreach, the Jarl's palace in Whiterun. It's in the wizard's office, just to the right of the throne room. You'll need Soul Gems to enchant things, and you need to destroy items to learn enchantments - and don't worry about keeping that stuff (unless it's really high-powered), because you'll find plenty of other stuff in your travels, and learning the enchantments means you'll be able to make your own cool stuff anyway.
i wouldn't get too hung up about destroying cool looking stuff, almost everything looks cool 😂

A few tips,
You can actually equip your followers with armor and weapons to beef them up a bit… you can do thar by talking to them and trading things with then
Also, the power you have to call on the wildlife to fight for you, its the same button as your shout. You have to “equip” it first in the magic menu… you can only use 1, either a shout or a power for that button…

Here's a bunch of non spoilery tips:
-If you tell your companion to "stay there" they'll stay there but still be your companion. If you want to dismiss them and free the space up, you have to select the last dialogue option.
-You got the quest to go see Aventus Aretino from a tavern keeper who told you "there's a kid in Windhelm called Aventus Aretino who's trying to contact the Dark Brotherhood" a few episodes ago, but you seem to have forgotten it.
-I think the value you can seel the items for depends on your speech skill level.

Poor Anise. Just a nice witch living in her Cabin and murdering travelers until the Dragonborn comes along. :P
Swords/longswords, maces, war axes and daggers are onehanded melee weapons.
Greatswords, warhammers and battleaxes are twohanded melee weapons.
Bows are ranged weapons.
Staves are (usually) short-ranged magical weapons.
Scrolls are one-use spells that does not require magicka to cast. You equip them as a weapon to use them.
Spells have a wide variety of effects and require X amount of magicka to cast. You can cast them over and over until you magicka runs out.
Shouts are separate, magic that does not require magicka to cast.
The shouts have a cooldown period though, and your compass will glow blue after using a shout, gradually fading back to white until you can use the shout again.
Powers are once a day use abilities that do not require magicka to cast.
There are also separate abilities for werewolves and vampires, but we'll cross that bridge if we come to it. :)
Back when I played, I'd always have plenty of meals to use to heal myself, after fights.
I only ever used potions *during* fights.
You always have problems with a cabin in the woods. 😁

Regarding your shout confusion: shouts are classed as Powers, which has a dedicated button on your controller. You equip shouts (and powers) to this button, just like a spell or sword. You can also favourite shouts (and powers) just the same. Hope this helps!
still catching up so I'm really looking forward to seeing how you end up resolving storage, getting the house, and deciding what kinds of things to sell or disenchant! there was some craziness up in that cabin for suuuuuureeee. I kinda wish I could join Anise's coven instead of having her turn hostile, just like you were saying that you weren't judging her for being a witch!
You can consider that cabin to be one of your homes now. It's the starter home for many a Dragonborn. You will need a few grand more than the 5k if you want to buy the Breezehome in Whiterun because a home is not much good unless you can spend a few grand outfitting it.
I don't know if you're a swordfighter, a smiling assassin or a fire babe but eventually you'll have to decide so you put your upgrade points into the appropriate skills. You wouldn't do well spreading points around like a jackie-of-all--trades. You'll definitely want Lydia whenever you fight a dragon and you will want to so you can absorb more dragon souls to unlock more shouts. You'll soon be finding more shouts as you start doing tougher dungeons. Nice job handling the surprises!

So fun watching these! One tip: you can travel faster if you buy a horse. 😊 Also, CABIN!
Take every arrow as an investment. When you have thousands, level up your speech and sell them all. You can carry an infinite amount and save them in a chest to keep your inventory less crowded. Once your iron ones are worth something, sell all but your favorite kind. (Tip), if you have DLC, save elven ones though.

If you hold “A” on a corpse you can pick it up and move it like items. There were many play throughs I would go straight across to Anise’s Cabin and just merc the poor old lady so I could have a stash house early in game lol

There's a random encounter spawn point on the ridge between Anise's Cabin and Riverwood, and I've sometimes seen her get into a fight with enemies that appear there if they're sufficiently hostile and detect her. It can be pretty funny. (Cabin again)

Here for the playthrough and when you get over encumbered with the small items you keep grabbing lol. I just zoomed through rooms, im such a different player. I always go back and watch lore videos and people like you play so I can see what I missed.
