I've been considering getting the 4k verison. But that model has been out for a couple years now. I wonder when will Google refresh the 4k version and gives it an update? If soon I'll probably wait for that.

The internal storage could have doubled or tripled with such little extra cost. It's just a shame since it was most people's main complaint
Will there be a new hardware version of the Chromecast with Google TV 4K later this year (2023)? built-in Ethernet port? Longer HDMI cable? ARM 64-bit (aarch64) native? more RAM? improved Bluetooth? Faster WiFi? USB Type C display output? Hopefully with the Google Tensor ARM SoC.

Will this work for casting the oculus to your tv and can I put on the front of the tv not the back of the tv
Best device if you have a old non smart tv or an outdated smart tv. best option for Playstation users if they have tvs in mulple rooms and want on the same without carrying their consoles everytime.

Should I get 4k for my HD TV?
HDR issues with Chromecast and no support from Google after repeated mails. There seems no solution for HDR formats issues from Google.
Does the HDR work on just 1080p TVs?
Hi Marcos, thanks for the interest. You can watch video only at a resolution that both your TV and Chromecast are capable of. For example, if you use Chromecast with Google TV (4K) with a 1080p TV, you can watch video up to 1080p, but you won’t get video in 4K. Video resolution also depends on the content you’re streaming.
Can I use a web browser in this? What's the OS?

Let's say you're moving you have your stuff packing unpacked we both look the same you won't know which is which unless it's labeled on the outside to avoid confusion unless you got one that's a different color you should have had it at least 16 to 32 gigs of storage so you don't have to get a power external USB HDMI Ethernet hub with a USB thumb drive or micro USB adapter

Chromecast 4k - Can you cast web pages from the browser on your Mac in 4K? So you get a 2160p resolution browser window? Or do you still only get 1080p?

I fail to see the point of this "HD" version. Even the most under-powered chinese media boxes can still _stream_ in 4K (although the slow CPU means a stuttering GUI), so what's the point of making this Chromecast HD-only?
The slower CPU is only going to cause a worse GUI/interface experience, no matter how "optimized" they say it is.
Plus, anyone that upgraded their TV in the last 7 years likely has a 4K TV anyway. This is such a FAIL from Google 🤦♂️

If there's no kids mode with a pin locking other profiles, this is a no go for us.

I HAVE 5 4K TVS in my house all on Chromecast TV 4K , WHO has HD/TV these days , maybe my Grandparents 20 years old TV, to me was stupid invention & wasted money , stores dont even sales HD/TV for a decade now maybe next model would be with RCA jack LOL B.S ...BUT LOOOOVE the 4k version & I hope u guys come up with updated version soon gonna be 3 years old now.
