    We're watching these vids to freshen up cache tactics. One thing..... mini cashes are the way to go. Having 1 or 2 large cashes is a liability. Also, pack all of your cashes the same way - include a back pack in each barrel to carry out your stash.

  • @kevinpride6543

    If possible place your cache into the side of a hill so that the hole you dug will drain downhill. Vertical holes will flood and fill with water... your cache will pop-up like a cork.

    Sounds great. I would have left out all the cans that can rust, and would have added flushable wipes, a life straw, and a lighter. Then I would have silicone sealed the top because that's not really a water tight container. Here's the test, when empty, put very hot water in the container and shake. If it blows hot water out of the lid or blows the lid off, that's not water tight enough for items you might be trusting your life to.

    You might want to read up on how to disinfect water with a drop of bleach. Depending on how long you expect to hide the water, you may want to safe guard it from bacteria that may be already in it before you bottled it. It may be a good idea to disinfect the bottle before putting the water in. Sort of a “canning procedure” should keep you from getting sick.

      Apocalypse is here mate. If you read that chapter, it proves that we are at those days described there. Jesus did reveal these, to help us survive. Repentance and getting ready to not accept their number, in any form they try to give it to you, is the only way to survive. If we accept though, then there is no reason, to try anything else, because then we're doomed to Hell for the eternity.
      World dictatorship of our enemy, is here already. This is the begining of Armagedon. God bless you.

    That plastic can will deteriorate rather rapidly. I'm not talking within a month or two, but if you are relying on that thin plastic to remain intact and waterproof for a long period of time you will be disappointed. The lid here is the weak spot. Better to make a sealed tube from thick PVC.

      i'd like to start a training exercise with others in Texas of compass, pace count = cache. Example. I drive thru your a.o.r, leave a cache, give you location via a landmark, heading, pace count. FM 2104, 400p e of sand creek bridge, 8" pine n side rd. 8"pine, 40 paces n, X. If during a local or regional emergency, your contacts from around the area and state could contact you with cache data and you'd know the drill and find it. The examples I used are not too covert, in reality they'd be much more less known but to you, a local. Maybe something seen in your video, an old barn visible from a farm to market road or town's water tower. All abbreviated but you'd know. The cipher can be e is w, n is s, and 2 paces is 1. and all numbers of roads are advanced by one. So your cache is at farm to market rd 3215, 200 paces w of sand crk bridge, 8" pine s side rd. 8" pine, 20 paces s = X. We are scattered all across Texas, all across US. We all drive around and travel from time to time, imagine having a network. Its the key problem with all of us, we are a disjointed body but our enemy trains daily as units. Police, military, guard, "contractor's killers for hire", they have tax funded assets and they train to back one another if back up is called for. We The People, nada.

    Will the plastic water bottles survive under freezing conditions? I have never thought of doing this with food & drink, only throw-downs.

    • @kevinpride6543
      @kevinpride6543 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok Boomer! : as far as plastic water jugs/bottles: water will not compress but air will. This is important when your water cache freezes solid. So a small amount of air space is a good thing. I have found that Juice bottles like Gatorade are best for cache canteens, with 2 liter soda pop bottles as a close 2nd.

    • @SurvivalTheory
      @SurvivalTheory  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What Kevin Pride said...
      Thicker juice or sport drink bottles are better than the thin water bottles and won't break down as easily. If freezing is possible and they are put in container with other items, put them in the bottom and in their own sealed bag (ziplock). Leave air space for freezing. Thanks for watching and commenting!

    • @QuantumPyrite_88.9
      @QuantumPyrite_88.9 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      IMO - Know the freeze / frost line for your locale . As examples - Kansas is aprox. 30 inches . Northern Idaho is 40 inches or more . Texas would be far less . Gatorade and heavier plastic bottles are the way to go and leave room for expanding freezing water .
