Mother 3 was one of the last games made for the GBA, so they had a lot of time to figure out its admittedly weak sound hardware by then. Also, this is likely the "uncompressed" version of the sounds used.
@@quillion3rdoption I mean good sound is possible, Pinball Dreams (I think that's what it's called) has a GBA port that sounds nearly identical to the Amiga and SNES ports. It's just rare.

This sounds great for the GBA. Never heard this soundfont before, but it's probably one of the best the handheld has to offer.

@@zanegandini5350 It may have been a late release. In general, the GBA's later games sounded pretty good despite the hardware.

The more I hear their works, the more it seems Shogo Sakai and Nobuo Uematsu have the same taste in sounds (if not the compositions as a whole).
