I really like how faithful your remakes are to the originals. It's actually not common to find people who do high-quality straight remakes like this instead of the genre-changing "remixes" that are all over TH-cam. It seems that it's very difficult to make this track in particular sound good with anything other than the original instrumentation. I've heard a bunch of pure orchestral versions over the years, but they all lacked the intensity of the original. Anyway, good job on this one!
Not bad, but the original organ sample is what gives the song it's magic. Replacing the guitars? fine. But changing that dirty hammond b3 organ sample organ loses something that can not be replaced.
Damn, spot on though the only thing I say is that I can barely hear the bass throughout the song, even though it was prominent in the original . A small gripe though, it's still an awesome remix.
+BitSymphony One reason why I think the bass isn't as prominent in your remake is because the original has the bass panned to the left speaker, but yours doesn't have any of the instruments panned :)
Longcat tacgnoL About the bassline in this version, i tried without pan, the bass notes sound too high, delivering no bass to the song, so what i did was to pan it to the left entirely and then add another bassline one octave down and panned it to the right, the result is that you have a high bass on the left and a lower bass on the right, the effect is unnoticeable but it surely delivers more bass power if you are hearing it on a nice set of headphones or with a nice speakers with a subwoofer.
What do you expect the Remake of FFVII is going to be like? Do you think Nobuo Uematsu will follow a similar path to yourself and simply remake the old classics into something better, or will he start from scratch with a new sheet of music paper and make something brand new? I love the OST's and am a big fan of your remakes, yet I am also interested to see what Uematsu will produce if he does start from scratch.
+Infinite Toast I think he will be making different versions of the existing songs, some similar to the originals, and others very different but still recognizable, he will probably add some new songs also. So we should expect a big change in the songs also, but being Uematsu himself i trust he is going to do a great job and surprise us all :)
+devvchan that's not entirely known yet, as they've called Uematsu, who is now a freelancer, in to do soundtracks long after his leaving before. 14's soundtrack was made primarily by uematsu, and uematsu came to help with some, but not all, of the 10 HD soundtrack revamping.
"At Final Symphony II in London this Past Saturday, Uematsu was asked if he would like to be involved in the FF7 remake - he said "No, that is in the past for me, it is done and finished"."
@@quack_a_doodle5922 i actually enjoyed them all :D. The OST of the remake was simply amazing and i was not disappointed. I even bought both OSTs on disc.
LET THE BATTLES BEGIN! Okay, that's actually another theme but seriously, you topped your old remake of this! :D What fight do you guys imagine when you hear the FFVII boss music? I tend to think of either Reno (the way his model kinda bobs to the music always stuck in my mind) or Diamond Weapon.
+IidoTheFox That weird son of a bitch guarding the safe where you find Odin and the key to Vincent. That or Palmer getting his fat sweaty shit beaten by a truck.
Hmm, very nice. First thing that stood out to me was how low the organ was. Perhaps it was intended by Mr. Uematsu, but I still can't help but feel that a mezzo-soprano section in the song is missing (the more lively 'female' section, or higher organ notes). Definitely hits home with a heavier tune though!
+Gmaniac01 They won't. Seeing as he wasn't that way in the Dialogue. He only became that way when he wasn't focused on the world in front of him. They said they were going to stay close to the original, but change it to match the times better.
Al'duyen Evernaught they better not take out any of the optional dialogue and the all the funny moments of it. It's what makes the game less emo in the first place, like when cloud had to dress up as a chick.
+BitSymphony i really hope they go further than just a remastering (as thats the official term for it now) and throw in new ideas, such as a void space for adding dlc and bonus battles and at the end of the bonus battles, a final challenge gauntlet with the challenge to last for as long as possible against enemies gradually increasing in strength and the like, and have special gauntlet only rewards to further improve your chance of winning more, because it would bring a bigger challenge of seeing how strong you can become before you cant get stronger, i guess i could go for ages talking on the topic, sharing ideas for what would be worth seeing, even if not straight away, and hey they could do a special starter gauntlet edition where you have a limited point system and every thing you add takes from the gauntlet points only for the special edition, so you can obtain weapons and armour to make speed running easier
John Valentine that would be a good thing to see, but maybe a challenge trailer would be released when they do them, using them to show off the music scores for the battle themes and the final statement of "can you beat them?" instead of a game over screen after they get owned showing off the optional bosses
I never understood what people liked about this boss theme so much. Not only is it not that great to begin with, it also clashed with ALL the rest of the OST... it almost felt out of place.
I find the fact that it's a little different from the rest is what makes it a good battle theme. It says "get ready!" as well as "keep up the pressure!" which is how battles were compared to the storyline.
If this is the fight on version they are using then I expected more. The track feels less exciting than the first black mages soundtrack. This version needs to be more upbeat. Currently FFRK has it dead on with a remake of fight on.
psichodude I haven't played RK in months (I was playing it way too much and had to force myself to quit.) I don't suppose anyone's uploaded that remix yet?

The best version of this one is Nobuo Uematsu own Black Mages band rendition imo, it's just perfect.
I personally don't think the Black Mages nailed this song, but to each his own.
I absolutely agree

It’s faithful cause he downloaded the midi notes and just changed the instruments lol
I shouldn't listen to this right before bed because then i'll be all amped up for battle y'know but here we are anyway
completely worth it
Same
same here bruh
This is great. New approach, yes, but still faithful to the original in all the right areas.
agreed. great job!!
Your remakes are so perfect that I just wanna mod them all into the PC release of the original game with new models and backgrounds.
This is the best rock organ soundfont I have ever heard.
This is Native Instruments B4 vst, i took over an hour of tweaking and messing around with it just to get the organs to sound like this
My neighbours will be pissed off but I'll turn the speakers to the max. xDDDDDD
having a simultaneous eargasm and nostalgiagasm right now.
Damn, spot on though the only thing I say is that I can barely hear the bass throughout the song, even though it was prominent in the original . A small gripe though, it's still an awesome remix.
Thank you! Did you listen with your headphones on? You should hear the bass very present
+BitSymphony Shure 215 here. The bass was there, but I believe it was a tad faint for my taste.

BitSymphony Ahhh, that would make sense. Thanks for clearing things up! :D
Playing your original remix of this song and this latest one together sounds so good!
My favourite remix of my favourite FF battle theme. Well done on all these!
wooooooooooooooooooo splendid
are you sure you don't secretly work for Square... this is amazing masterpiece..... wow
I would love this as my ringtone
Amazing work, fine sir.

***** ah, i see. thank you for the information.
Never gets old
I hope they will include the theme in the remake. SquareEnix.. please don't change the Boss Fight Music..
What did you think of the 3-4 new versions of the boss battle theme? :)
@@quack_a_doodle5922 i actually enjoyed them all :D. The OST of the remake was simply amazing and i was not disappointed. I even bought both OSTs on disc.
awesome
greatness
I hope you make a version of Tifa's theme featuring a saxophone. I always felt like the song needed it.
LET THE BATTLES BEGIN! Okay, that's actually another theme but seriously, you topped your old remake of this! :D
What fight do you guys imagine when you hear the FFVII boss music? I tend to think of either Reno (the way his model kinda bobs to the music always stuck in my mind) or Diamond Weapon.
+IidoTheFox I remembered that motor-like boss, after Cloud motorcycle minigame. Somehow i always think about that battle everytime i hear this music
+IidoTheFox Yep Reno, Bottomswell, Materia Keeper, Godo there are so many :D
+IidoTheFox That weird son of a bitch guarding the safe where you find Odin and the key to Vincent. That or Palmer getting his fat sweaty shit beaten by a truck.
LOL Palmer! Haha and Lost Number
+IidoTheFox Same haha when I fight Reno from the turks.

absolute fire
Just clicked the replay button

I love how you sampled the item box noises from super Mario kart
I didn't :D
I'm so fuckin hyped!!! LIMIT BREAK!!! GYAAAAAHHHH!!!!!
EARGASM!!! YESSSS
Goosebumps:)
Oh HELL yes!
awesome ! :p
\m/ Metal as FF! \m/
ha.. shouldn't have doubted you even for a second
It's very low in volume but I swear I can hear the shinra guard dog attack noise right before the organ comes in lol. Works great as a guitar slide!
LIMIT BREAK - BRAVER
Critical hit.
409 damage.
This music could be the opening Sony E3 2017!
Now we just need to put this in the upcoming remake
+Gmaniac01 I have the feeling it's going to be more orchestral and slow, like most games nowadays.
+TekEvolution I can mod this song into FFVII pc.
+Gmaniac01 They won't. Seeing as he wasn't that way in the Dialogue. He only became that way when he wasn't focused on the world in front of him. They said they were going to stay close to the original, but change it to match the times better.
you didn't even play the game yet

duuuuuuuuuuuuude
Al'duyen Evernaught they better not take out any of the optional dialogue and the all the funny moments of it. It's what makes the game less emo in the first place, like when cloud had to dress up as a chick.
Wait, what's the video in the background?
+Giulio Franco Just a couple of clips from the Bahamut fight scene from FF Advent Children. Not images from the new remake ;) hehe
+Leonard Clements I want to see how the 2 weapons that are insanely hard to beat will be in this game
John Valentine that would be a good thing to see, but maybe a challenge trailer would be released when they do them, using them to show off the music scores for the battle themes and the final statement of "can you beat them?" instead of a game over screen after they get owned showing off the optional bosses
Why not optimised for stereo? Surround sound?!
+eluxsus0195684 Stereo. It's just a suggestion :)
blue thumb +1000
I still like the original version better, sorry, but this one not bad.
Pretty much.
Original will always be my favorite, but this is my favorite cover.
+Joseph Donnelly yes I agree with you there.
I never understood what people liked about this boss theme so much. Not only is it not that great to begin with, it also clashed with ALL the rest of the OST... it almost felt out of place.

ReloadPsi the remake is uploaded
psichodude I'm looking right now, but I've not found it yet. The problem with this tune is that it's got like fifty different names among the fans.
