I'm currently 72 yrs old and disabled by a neurologic disease with no cure. I've spent my entire life backpacking and fishing 🎣 in the high country and lakes and miss it so. So thank you for taking me with you. I've hiked extensively with women and found them to be awesome companions and every bit as capable, dependable and rugged as male companions. @@ksgonewild half way through will watch the rest another time. Try putting your phone onto flight mode that might help but tge popping noise is normally if you got the mic wet. Me and Dean camped at that spot it's a great spot. Loved the timelapse of rhe mist rolling in and Jay is 6ft.3😁👍

Oh my goodness if you hadn't of messaged me last night I would have thought you were still up there lost in that clag woman. You are one brave lady. That is some hike. And with your full pack on girl. You're a machine. So glad it lifted. What a place that is. So many nooks and crannys to explore. Love the quarry. Very busy though. And yes most definitely eerily beautiful. I love when places are like that. The joy on your face just makes me smile everytime you're out. Can't wait to get out with you in spring. ......oh no the clags back 🙈🙈🙈. Really appreciate the mention for the charity you're a star. My feet are in bits though. I was tempted to swim but there were quite a few people around and suddenly feel quite vulnerable to leave my pack etc. if it had been deserted I would have had a dip for sure!! The clouds on Dartmoor always make for epic timelapses so I’m glad you enjoyed it. Thank you so much for watching! Xx

Must have just missed you that day I also visited Kings, Swell and camped at Foggintor (you got it right)! The clag that day was great fun, it was like the world was playing hide ‘n’ seek, but at least it was warm and mostly dry. hi karen, a bit of advice for the cloud peak 2 flapping at the top, i always wrap the bungies from the top bit round the poles a few times all around, So when you connect it to the ring bit its really tight, hope it helps

This was a great watch...lovely stone rows and circles, sweet ponies and pesky cows and that cooked dinner looked delicious...no doubt there are pumas and other ravenous beasts lurking in the supernatural mists..or is that just in Cornwall? I've put tensioner lineloc 3s on my tent "cap" they work great stops the flapping 👌 cheap as chips and plenty of youtube videos showing how to set them up correctly 😉

Try adjusting the lengths of the bungee cords on the lid until you get it to fit correctly, you can also wrap the cords around the pole if you find they are too long. I had similar problems with my Cloudpeak 2 at first.

Hi Karen, this is my second viewing on your channel.6.5 minutes in and I find you are a 'bushy' afraid of domestic cattle, did they chase you all the way up the tor. I am peeing myself already. Are you a city girl? The stone circles and monoliths are fabulous. I have thoroughly enjoyed your adventure on the Moors and Tors of Dartmoor. This is one of the best videos I have watched on this amazing area. I am an Aussie living in the sub tropics of Northern New South Wales, your environment is so different. If you want to check out the environments I visit check out the 'Scotty's gone walkabouts' channel. By the way I to use a Cloud Peak.2. Brilliant tent, replace the cord on the hood with 5-6mm bungee cord and rap it around the poles to remove flapping, make sure the top spreader pole C is on top of A and B. I have made quite a few hacks on my tent to improve it. We can afford to, the Hilleberg Allak 2 is almost 5 times the price. I loved your adventure and have subscribed. I look forward to watching more of your adventures. Here is a little tip for you, I learned from hostel backpacking around the globe always, always carry earplugs. Cheers.

Menear or Menhere, either is ok. Cornish for 'Long stone'. Great Mis is a cracking tor, but very popular. I'm guessing since you've bypassed Cox Tor your next camp will be White Tor? I love that one, it has a Neolithic 'fort' at the top well worth the stank. Superb time-lapses, you caught the mist of Mis perfectly.

Ah thanks lovely!! Seaweed kinda gives a really lovely flavour, not fishy at all, kinda hard to describe but I put a pinch in almost everything I make to be honest! Buy it in a health food shop, organic mixed seaweed flakes. Definitely worth a try! Xxx

Top Cover... Try wrapping the elastic around your poles before attaching the hooks on the cover.. Hope that helps, as its what I do...

Brilliant tent, replace the cord on the hood with 5-6mm bungee cord and rap it around the poles to remove flapping, make sure the top spreader pole C is on top of A and B. I have made quite a few hacks on my tent to improve it. We can afford to, the Hilleberg Allak 2 is almost 5 times the price. I loved your adventure and have subscribed. Menear or Menhere, either is ok. Cornish for 'Long stone'. Great Mis is a cracking tor, but very popular. I'm guessing since you've bypassed Cox Tor your next camp will be White Tor? I love that one, it has a Neolithic 'fort' at the top well worth the stank.

Seaweed kinda gives a really lovely flavour, not fishy at all, kinda hard to describe but I put a pinch in almost everything I make to be honest! Buy it in a health food shop, organic mixed seaweed flakes. Definitely worth a try! Xxx
