When I was in elementary school, I remember seeing this Serpent logo and ads in the RC magazines at the time. I had a gut feeling that this brand was very special. I'm so happy that it is still with us today!
Serpent is fantastic brand. I have Cobra 811te & SRX8e and beat the heck out them & they keep asking for more! Glad I found the brand. GTe is next addition 👍🏾
I must agree. I have 2x S411, S120 letter, Viper 988E, SRX2 and SDX4 :-) I love all my Serpent cars. All of them was second hand buy for 1/2-1/4 price. Spare parts for 7 years model are still not a problem. Durability is one of toughest.
I had to shop all the serpent websites, serpent America. Desoto racing , and the regular serpent website. Often they are out of stock, you have to check these sites all the time because when the aluminum pulleys are in stock they sell out really fast. Because of the rarity of the pulleys ppl mark them up on the forums, ebay and Facebook.
How did you get the motor to mesh with the spur. Is the T.p. motor 3mm screws or 5mm. I'm installing a T.P. also but I have 5mm mount screws and the motor holes are way too small.

Jay, was the Mugen MRx5 a consideration before you purchased your Serpent 989E? What is your opinion on the Mugen MRX5?
No mugen wasn't considered. Ive always loved serpent. I have no experience with the mugen pan cars. Nothing against them I'm sure they are great.
