I have this theory that Chandler is a Hitman, he has quite a bit of money, he also is shown to not be able to cry, and it would explain why he has such boring job it's a cover for his hits. It also explains why he doesn't have to go to work, hitmen have odd hours.

Someone actually got fired for stealing my food at work years back.
Not only did the guy steal my food he also made a rather large error that made me and my team late for lunch. As Im Type 1 Diabetic i had taken my insulin 30mins before break but had to stay back for an extra 40ish mins by which point i was begining to have a hypoglycemic attack. Got to the fridge and my lunch (labled tuppaware included) wasnt there. When it was found out he had stolen it, it was the final straw for him to get fired.
That dipshit 100% deserved to get fired for that. I hope you had some sugar cubes or barley sugar or something to help you.
The best revenge I've seen was on a guy that stole our food from the kitchen in our ambulance station. Instead of bringing his own lunch he'd steal someone else's, then he'd deny it.
To put a long story short: *laxatives + birthday cake = a very messy mission accomplished*
PS: he fell for the cake because he's exceptionally dense.
At my old job we had a guy that would steal food so one day a worker laced their food with laxatives and fucked that guy up so they knew which guy it was. Said guy got fired and it was fucking great

Chandler was always my favourite Friend. I always saw how generous and damaged he was.
If you look at Chandler's flashbacks and quibs about his childhood, you'd see it seemed he always came from money, I wouldn't be surprised if he was a trust fund kid (and good with money) tbh. He'd probably be living a much more comfortable life were it not for his friends tbh.
Ross, Monica and Rachel seem to come from well off families as well. The Gellers and Greenes are family friends, and Rachel lived lavish before her dad cut her off.

Jutland Angel I don’t think cut off is the right word. She chose to live by her own means. From what I remember even when she decided not to marry the dentist it didn’t sound like her dad was giving an ultimatum or anything.

That actually makes sense since his father was gay. Chandler was probably bisexual and scared to admit due to his own internalized homophobia stemming from the abuse he got from others because of his father being gay. Not to mention that one of his good friends (Ross) took every opportunity to be homophobic that he could.

The Chandler character was originally written as closet gay. He was supposed to come out in a later season. Early jokes hint at it. Friends is an obsession in my home.

When I had a hernia surgery a couple years ago, it cost me around 5.5-6k out of pocket with insurance. Without, it would have been around 25-30k.

His mother Nora is a very successful writer so I believe he’s the kind of guy that is filthy rich but doesn’t like to show it.
He doesn’t brag about it because he’s humble and maybe because he doesn’t want everyone saying he’s living out of his mother’s money.
Also him leaving his job in the last season proves this theory, they are trying to send the message of “take risks and find your passion” but no he did it because he is rich.

A mate still owes me £50 from over a year ago and I'm still salty about it.
Wasn't even for anything important, he just wanted to keep his cinema card, and I threw a little extra in to make sure he had money for food shopping. I stopped loaning him money when I realised that extra bit to help him out was going on drinks.
This dude I know has owed me 20€ for 4 years now. His excuse for not paying is that my job is better than his. He spent that money on weed when he was supposed to fix the bike he used to go to class at the time. Classy people everywhere I guess.
My old man gave me some sage advice, never loan money you're not ok with losing. You don't lend money expecting it back that's a bonus you lend money because you care about helping someone else.

That rage at the end. I completely understand. Back when I was in grade 6, there was an 8th grader named Angel (he was anything but), who took my lunchbox and sifted through it, a friend of his told me that he stole my yogurt. I check and the yogurt isnt there. And he bragged about it. I'm not saying I hold grudges or anything but if Angel fell down a flight of stairs and into a basement, I would close and lock the door.

I can appreciate Chandler being pissed for Monica wanting his entire life savings being spent on her. While it does not compare at all, some years back I did have a BOOTS card with (YEARS!) of points collected. At one point in my life I was out of work, and being frugal how I spent money, was also dating this girl who would ocme to mine every now and then, and expect entertainment (even though I had a limited budget). One day I went to a job interview while she was over, had not bought any food so she rang me that she was hungry. The only thing I could suggest (don;t know why she had no money) was the Boots card in my desk. I thought it had enough points to buy at least something to have for lunch till I got back. When I got back, I realised she had spent ALL the points (about £70 redeemed in total) but not on food. She spent it on MAKE-UP as she realised, according to her, when she got there that her make-up supply had run low. Yes she spent MY points I had been collecting for years, to get her face done.
What if chandler was pimping Joey out the whole time and making breakfast for the women to get the money and that’s why he pays everything for Joey and doesn’t want any money back
Next to Chandler, Joey is the best. I always remember how he helped that random single mom out in the delivery room, and proposes to Rachel when he finds out she's pregnant because he doesn't want her to feel alone as a parent.

More entertaining? Dinklage is fucking dope in Tiptoes and the only saving grace of the movie :D He plays an hedonistic, sexistic, french, radical communist on a motorbike with tattoos and a gun he tries to use on a motel manger, who just tries to do his job, and later in the movie he even get's dreadlocks xD

Chandler is actually super well written and he basically becomes the dad to joey that he always wanted from his, and it shows in his dedication and control of his finances, his ability to take responsibility over all the others, he is great!
To be honest, I’m very much like Chandler when it comes to money. As long as I have enough money to get by, I don’t mind giving my good friends some money when they need it.

Its food that you brought to work, had to wake up early to make/pack, had to pay for out of pocket, and then have someone else eat when you are starving and thought that was going to be a small window of relaxation. Its not just food, its money, work, and your effort from you to you that someone else stole for themselves and will never really appreciate fully.

Jay Nigma he’s not really responsible with money though, considering he’s never had to worry about things like bills and rent since “oh chandler will take care of it”. That’s why he got all his art repo’d after getting fired from Days of Our Lives, which wouldn’t happen if he was smart and had savings. Also, this was when he didn’t have a steady income so that big paycheck could have been all he’d have for a long time.
On the subject of food, the episode were Joey refuses to share food then eats his date's entire dessert annoyed me a lot.
He was angry then tried to finesse the situation and when he told her he doesn't like sharing food she's totally okay with it BUT then he eats her entire cake.

All I can think about when it comes to stealing food is how it could affect someone who has to take medicine that you just cannot eat on an empty stomach no matter what, or someone with a special diet who can't go get some McDonalds or other fastfoods because it'll make them sick

I'm allergic to literally everything so it'd be pretty shitty for me. (gluten, potatoes, red food dye, dairy, and many other stuff I cannot distinguish).
Chandler was a boss of the department to an insanely highly demanded job at the time. SO 6 figures right there. Plus his mother was rich and his father was too. He came from a wealthy background, Also chandler was smart so a lot of the money from his parents he inherited but also was given saved up. so yeah he pretty wealthy.

I always liked Chandler and Joeys friendship, cuz yeah Chandler was always taking care of him financially you never get the feeling Joe is trying to take advantage of him or use him. Joey was genuinely broke and didn't have money but he was Chandlers friend cuz he liked him not cuz of what he did for him...which you can't say about most relationships like that. I had to drop a lot of friends when I gave away money like Chandler did cuz after a while it got to the point where they couldn't say hi without asking for money first, and never called just to talk and say hi. All interactions turned into them asking for money. So I had to tell them hey I'm starting to feel like im paying for your friendship. If you can't call me without asking for money then just don't call me at all, and they didn't...so I really appreciate Chandler and Joeys friendship

Chandler may have the philosophy I do. When you "loan" money you give it with the expectation of not ever getting it back, and you have to be okay with that. It cannot be detrimental to your own finances, and it's a gift.

There's also hints that Chandler is very well-endowed, but that because of self-esteem issues, he never seemed to take advantage of it in the early seasons. It only really comes out after he dates Monica. Rachel catches Monica on the phone saying, "You know what your nickname is Mr. Big..." In addition, when Monica finally convinces Chandler to take a bubble bath by himself, Phoebe says "Mazel tov!" after barging in and Joey says, "Dude, you're gonna need a bigger boat."
I am convinced that the company Chandler works for is a front for the mob, and Chandler was the one that moved the money around

I had a work mate accuse me of stealing his food during lunch while he went to get cutleries. Somehow he misplaced his food somewhere along the way, I don't really know how, I was just watching TV having already eaten my lunch. He comes back and says "where's my food? Did you eat it?"
"What? No! Why would I do something like that? I swear I have no idea what happened to your food."
He wouldn't believe me, kept looking at me funny and at the end of the week he asked the boss for a transfer due to 'bullying in the workplace'. My boss thought it was hilarious and never once questioned me since I had been working there for a while and was pretty well liked. He just moved him to a different workplace and carried on.
For those 3 years, rent alone would have accumulated (if the rent wasn’t changed in the 3 years) up to $108K alone. So, Joey owes much more than what’s been stated in the video. Plus, Chandler was a Junior Advertisement Copywriter and an IT Procurement Manager.

I used to take two lots of the same meal prep ready meal thing into work every day (into my weightlifting, sorry for the cringe) and when I went to get my first one I noticed one had gone. I went around the office until I found who it was was and their response was, “oh as there were two I thought someone had just brought two days worth in, I was going to replace it before lunch time tomorrow.” I was visibly shaking with anger, I totally see why Ross went mental over the sandwich 😂
