Get ready to be inspired by the incredible true story of Jan Baalsrud. During World War II, Jan was part of a resistance group in Norway fighting against the Nazi occupation. When their mission goes wrong, Jan finds himself on the run and alone in the Arctic wilderness.
Against all odds, Jan battles extreme cold and hunger as he tries to make his way to safety. His determination and will to survive are truly remarkable and will leave you in awe.
Update: life without scrubs is hard but we have managed, we learnt to do things without his stories in the background and we learnt to find other stuff to do than listen to him. But with that said we still miss him😔

It has now been a year and almost a half of no Scrubby, Scrubs, or Scrubae. He passed away in 1988. On his own wish, he was put to rest in Arctic Norway among those who assisted him
holy shit, that's a rlly sick story. i rlly feel bad for jan tho, he didn't deserve that kinda bad luck, at least he learned to walk again pretty quick and i love that he didn't just give up the fight.

Between 2019 and 2022 I didn't have a home and I knew someone that ended up on the news because they woke up next to a dead body. Fighting the elements can be terrifying. I remember when I kept seeing lights and passing out before.

Read you’re leaving a month ago and I made a TH-cam acc so I can say this. I’ve been listening to you since middle school, during the biggest parts of my life: when I fucked up and drew all over my wall as a kid, and when I submitted my application to my first job, any time I went to the store with my mom, and when I painted an art show installation (I literally listened to Karen story times as I did this, every time). Even though I probably wasn’t the target demographic as a young girl who (at the time not anymore 😭) liked dragons and stupid bs, I was pulled in immediately. You’re so entertaining and you mean so much to me and I sincerely hope you found the fulfilling things you’re looking for. Thank you for your many years of service and congratulations of building an insanely successful and profitable career so early in your life.
You should make a video on Juan Garbo. He was a Spanish double spy in WW2 who literally trolled the Germans nobody caught him. There’s so many crazy stories with him that would be amazing for the channel

As a Norwegian, I am very interested in war history, also Norwegian! This story is even more insane than presented here. If you want to read it, I'll fill in some more insane details about this insane survival story! (If you're really interested you can watch a movie called "The twelfth man". The movie is based on the book "nine lives" which is a book (don't know if its written in any other languages than Norwegian) It covers everything I talk about here!
So as stated, this insane human being survived the unthinkable. During his escape from the beach, (as scrubs covered in the start) the solider he ended, managed to shot him in the big toe. He also lost the boot on foot which was just shot, during the escape. This foot cached gangrene. The story then goes as scrubs covered, except for him meeting these girls nearby: He actually swam over a whole lake, before meeting the girls. (for reference this lake was between -1- -5 degrees Celsius). This made it even harder for him! After he had to amputate his toes, the family had to hide him under a rock. UNDER A ROCK in the mountains for 4 days. All he had to eat was a SINGLE piece of sugar. Here the people who helped him to Sweden had to retrieve him. the story then ends like scrubs so flawlessly explained.

December 24, 2023 low-key sad that there isn't a 12 days of Scrubs this year
Kinda related to the story but that British-Norwegian commando unit blew up the heavy water plant that was crucial to the German nuclear weapons project so if it weren’t for these guys mustache man might’ve ended up with nukes
