If you like these Henry Archer watches, you should try to review the Erebus Ascent. I think the Vesterhav and the Ascent are made by the same watch maker and they appear to be the same watch except for finishing/polishing and other preferences on hands, indexes, and colors. One big difference is pre-order price on the Ascent. Good review btw.
Your glowing comments spurred me to try out this brand - I have in my hand an akva now. Like you said, the case finishing is superb! The unconventional colours are well - unconventional, but the case shape with the colours do make it stand out from the mostly traditional-looking watches in my collection.
Great review! I really appreciate how in depth you go, especially in regards to endlink fitment. I have the newest CW C60 Trident Pro and the endlink fitment on that is atrocious. It has so much side to side play and has visible gap on the side and top where it meets the case. Of course no other reviewer mentioned that issue in any of the CW reviews I have seen.
I saw Marc from Long Island Watch talk about this, and I was very impressed. However, even though I trust Marc, he is also selling this watch so I’m glad to see such a glowing review. I’m on a white dial kick right now so it’s the white dial for me. Thanks!
My blue dial Vesterhav arrived today. It’s everything reported and more. Lots of bang for the buck! Easily competes with my two Christopher Wards. If you’re on the fence jump down and place your pre-order.
Wow, beautiful watch. I think micro-brands and china are really the most interesting part of the watch market at the moment, eating away at the premiums brands costs. So much daring and originality in the micro-brand arena with china pushing the quality and specs (and maybe some original designs creeping in). Thank you for your reviews.
Holy went on their website and that blue dial is a beauty, I think the navy blue dial works with the skyblue second hand and markers much better. VERY tempted
I was thinking yeh yeh.. Until I look at the website. It's very impressive. One thing I look for in this type of watch is slimness and it has it. Thanks for your review and finding it for us.
Whatever you like, it's your collection so it should be your choice, don't buy watches just because someone else says it's a great watch ..buy what you like.
I am very tempted by this brand. I think I would go for one of their dive style watches first, but they need to put this handset on those models as well. The Akva hands don't come anywhere close to reaching the minute hand, which is a deal breaker for me. The hands on the Nordso are fat and round which make it impossible to set the exact time. Just pet peeves of mine. The hands on this watch are perfect! Great vid as always my brother!
Thanks as always brother! Completely agreed about the hands on the Nordso and Alva, I’m not the biggest fan of those too. It feels like they got all the design decisions spot on with the Vesterhav.
this one is not my cup of tea, but this is a FINE brand, I always find fault with microbrands, but this is just excellence, thank you for introducing me to them
Nice watch, cool exist a lot of micro brand, san martin,phoibos,etc..who permit to comun people good design and afordable price, when famous brand give less for more money
I can see people with larger wrists being happy with this size, but maybe HA needs to take a page out of CW's book and offer two or three different sizes. That's going to make everyone happy.
I love everything about it except the size. This screams 37. I understand why they picked 40 because most people like it, but as life proves it everyday, most people are wrong.
Oh man...if only you guys stopped making videos on this piece, increasing publicity. I'm away from home and was planning to get this watch as soon as I got back and now it's gone!
Servicing the movements? It’s usually cheaper to replace them outright. A new Seiko NH35 costs around $30. Miyota movements are a bit more expensive, but depending on your watchmaker, it’s probably still cheaper to replace instead of service them.
Update: Most colourways from the first batch have sold out (understandably), but Henry Archer is taking preorders for the next batch.

I’m happy you’re enjoying your Henry Archer as much as I did! I think they’re going to become much more popular in no time.
Purchased one about two months ago. Colors are fantastic. People ask about it all the time.

Thanks as always man! I had such a hard time choosing a colour, all of them look incredible. The white dial is a great choice! 😉
If he was purely in it for the money he would only sell his watches.
@@StandAloneState Yup. He’s a stand up guy. Enthusiast first. Businessman second. A close second but second nonetheless.
They have the best purple dials.
I agree with everything but the size I have the white version of this exact watch and I want a 41 or 42
Just ordered a blue vesterhav, discovered this brand from ads and man it looks sharp! Cant wait!!

Couldn't agree more! Thanks so much for watching.
Wonder what that dial looks like in person, but thank you for adding this brand to my radar. These and other offerings from them look amazing
This brand definitely deserves more attention, and the dial looks even better in person!
I got the purple and green
It’s a fantastic watch
I just ordered a glacier cyan NORDSØ. Shipping date is 2 December. I’m looking forward to getting it in time for Christmas.
Love what the brand is doing, very brave in their designs and colours, its a great idea to have a GADA watch that comes in such a colour
Couldn’t agree more! It’s a breath of fresh air compared to my mostly black dial collection.
Another vote for 36 to 38 mm size. Keep all the colors, especially the iris. They look great.

Haha I try not to be hyperbolic in my reviews, but this watch really impressed me. I love slim GADA watches too. Thank for watching!
Which one is better,
Nodus sector sport vs this one vs traska sumiteer vs nomadic turas
The Raven version is on my list! 🤩
Great choice! I spent way too much time deciding which colourway to get. They all look gorgeous 😍
If only they had made this 38mm....may be the perfect watch.
Exactly! I’m going to pester them to do this 🤣
my thoughts exactly
Watches like this look best in 36mm i think but still for those of us with large wrists a very tempting offer.
Agreed! 36-37mm is my sweet spot. I hope they're listening to feedback and have a smaller size planned in the future. 🤞🏾
I have a blue tissot Chemin and a white PRX...what collur should i get for this??

I bought a purple HA Akva@@darrenfry4695
Better finishing and quality vs a prx? (Exluding movement)
Oh yes, much more. Build quality and finishing is closer to my Christopher Ward than the PRX.
Love your presentation and that's a great looking watch.
Thanks a lot!
Great video my friend 👏
Thanks as always my man! 🙏🏾
Nice watch! First time I hear about this brand. Great video!
It really is, thanks for watching man!
I got the purple and the green
Amazing watches
Really can’t believe they’re $500
Right?? It’s just incredible value. Enjoy both of yours!
I preordered the purple and absolutely love it. 2nd most worn watch after the Certina.

Can you suggest me a diver non-retail price around 1.500?
Oris Divers 65 or Christopher Ward C60 Trident Pro 300 would be my picks at that price point. You can get used ones closer to $1000 even.

That movement is fire and worth it 👌🏻🔥 but whats with the 40+ mm hype..

@@WristWatching I think 38mm is the sweeet spot for most of the wrists out there👌🏻
@@sjonny-depp Agreed!
Where are you buy
Their website link is in the description.
Miyota is a reliable movement.
As with most micro brand watches, it badly needs a 21mm lug width ; )
If this brand put a swiss movement and Muonionalusta meteorite dial i am there.
Bro review the guilberlin.
Not a fan of their designs tbh, and I can’t deal with that name 🫣
For me, their color pallette is off. It's like how they painted buildings in Berlin in 1937. Pink, beige, gray.... not down.
You had me until "40mm." 37-38mm and I'd be all over this.
That’s my only complaint about it. I’d love a 37mm version, I hope they downsize it soon.
It is now downsized. See his website! nice

Haha, sorry about that! They're taking preorders now for an August delivery. Lock your order in if you don't mind the wait.
Dial reminds me of Cadisen aliexpress watch , lookin good
Agree 38mm would be better.Large writing and emblem ruin it for me.
38mm seems to be the sweet spot for most people
The worst kind on the internet. Those people who buy to re-sell 3x the money.
I got one problem with cheap watches. They are relatively to expensive to get serviced.
Servicing the movements? It’s usually cheaper to replace them outright. A new Seiko NH35 costs around $30. Miyota movements are a bit more expensive, but depending on your watchmaker, it’s probably still cheaper to replace instead of service them.
@@WristWatching good valid point. I would learn to do it myself. That would be the beginning of watchmaking.
@@andrejensen7837 It’s a fun experience! Just get some good tools and you’ll be set.
Looks way to big on your wrist.
That’s the only complaint I had about it. I hope they release a smaller version down the line.
I don´t think so..looks just fine.
The smaller version is now on the website
$500 for a miyota 9019? I prefer Seiko NH35 the movement put me down.
I'm a fan of the Seiko NH35, but I love the Miyota 9xxx series so much more. Can't beat that higher beat rate, power reserve, accuracy, and slimness.
Thank you.@@WristWatching
Not very elegant. Looks more like a fashion watch, too much going on for my liking. Thanks
Check out some of the more subtle colourways on their website.
