Nobody in their right mind could enjoy wearing this watch with that bright yellow Oct🐙pus logo screaming at you every glance. They need to soften the branding/colour there big time.

I've got this one for more than one year ans it's as good as it looks. Only + 6 sec/ day no scratchs. appeared , very comfurtable to wear. the bezel have a little play and i think thats its bigger default. And the screw down crown ... so soft !!!! I take very much pleasure wearing it !

These watches are completely different though. Ones and auto, the other a quartz. One has day/date, the other has none. One is titanium, the other ss. I guess they both have numbers and hands on the dial, so they’re the same??? It’s like saying grapes are better than strawberries because they’re cheaper. And if you believe what Berny’s site says…these are normally $150, so how is it better to get less product for more money?!?

Great review! I really appreciate how in depth you go, especially in regards to endlink fitment. I have the newest CW C60 Trident Pro and the endlink fitment on that is atrocious. It has so much side to side play and has visible gap on the side and top where it meets the case. Of course no other reviewer mentioned that issue in any of the CW reviews I have seen.

Steinhart is as German as my friend’s Chinese grandma. Also very poor cyclops and cheap looking clasp fold over. I’ve owned this watch and quickly found its way to the bottom of the drawer.

This watch available in AliExpress is fake or original anyone suggest?

Nice review. Have a look at Wise ADX, I prefer it over most microbrand GMTs.

After 3-4 trips to the ocean the paint inside the indices of the bezel insert on my San Martin progressively faded away with each trip. While the out of the box impression is great don't expect much in terms of longevity. Also, the sapphire crystal is cloudy at certain angles, the reflections get in the way of seeing at the dial. It was a fun experiment to test out one of these Chinese factory brands but the product quickly went from wow to meh. After enjoying the look of the watch on my wrist I'm starting to justify the $3,500 for the SJE093.

Chapter ring on this is too thick, suguess engraved shallow chapter ring is just perfect.

If only they would've polished the center links, for that jubilee bling... Then this would've been perfect

I don't think this is very close to the original. I have both the actual BB58 and also a San Martin SN004 (Watchdives edition I think) and this Octopus seems to suffer from many of the same problems as the San Martin. The biggest issue is color science. The areas that are black on the original looks grey on the Octopus. The numbers on the bezel of the original has a gold metallic sheen to them. Same with the red triangle. On the Octopus they are plain yellow and red. Same with the printing on the dial. On the original it has a nice glow to it. On the Ocopus it is just yellow. Also the bezel is about twice as thick on the Octopus vs the BB58. All in all it looks okay (better than my San Martin) but still it misses out on what makes the BB58 on amazing watch (in my opinion).

The case is beat blasted to make it look it better then raw titanium, which basically can't be polished or brushed.

I like mineral glass for this watch. it is more clear and I am able to see the sparking white (more close to silver snow flakes) better.

Give me Watchdives quartz version every day of the week... More accurate, more robust, thinner case and brilliant lume. The fact that it is also 1/3rd of the price is the icing on the cake
