    Challenge rules:
    1) Support dies 2-3 times immediately
    2) Then stands around soaking experience, not pressing anything during lane
    3) Support can throw some spells here and there during mid/late so entire team doesn't quit at the same time while Hector comes back!

    As a fellow Hector, I think the time has come for me to speak out. Every year, thousands for Hectors are forced to work at impossible tasks under appalling conditions, with little to no reward. To make matters worse, they are subject to cruel roasting and become the butt of countless jokes. But they have to continue working to make ends meet, and suffer the loss of dignity that comes with it.

While we love him, I'd love to see what y'all can do helping out, like, a silver/gold player who you're advising and helping on the go, who isn't challenger, and showing their journey. I feel like I'd learn more from watching somebody who's closer to my elo improving with these strategies than seeing a smurf stomp lane after lane that's horribly outmatched by him.

      1, if you are a split-pusher, push the wave into the pressure zone then check the map for information, if all the threats to you are somewhere else on the map, go pushing, look at your minimap occasionally.
      2, if you are a strong team-fight champion like Malphite, velkoz, ... Then you should push the wave into the pressure zone as safely and as far as possible then group with your team to take objectives, if somehow the play turn wrong, you can always get back to collect your wave in the collecting zone safely.
      P.S: easier to say than to do

Perfectly built to survive against the enemy team comp.

    • @taco7677
      @taco7677 4 ปีที่แล้ว +58

      Ask mid/top for a laneswap, get their T1 towers if they haven't been taken yet. Use that pressure to get an objective like Drag/Herald if it's still up. Try not to ARAM since as they mentioned, you just leech experience and share gold. Keep an eye on the sidewaves, you don't want to miss that gold.

      Gabriel Lesta ye that’s the same question i got

    • @Darkra98
      @Darkra98 4 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Lane swap or if your team doesn't want to listen and wants to aram instead.
      Shove in lane fully, warding jungle and tracking their jungler in the meantime. While your wave is crashing, feel free to use the numbers advantage to secure other objectives such as dragon or mid tower, or just control the enemy jungle. It will take a while for the wave to build up (similar to the huge wave khazix caught in the video) if enemy neglects it, so feel free to use that time to leech mid, take enemy jungle, recall and buy etc. If the enemy doesn't neglect it, it will push back faster but you should still have ~60-90s of freedom before it comes back to your t1 tower.
      If you happen to be a top laner, you can also try and force a freeze outside your tower. Doesn't work as well in bot lane cause more likely than not your support is stupid and pushes the wave for no reason.

    • @garagavia
      @garagavia 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Catch 100% of waves. Never miss a wave when you are ahead, this is a fundamental of mobas that has stood since the beginning of the genre. Being ahead means you should get more farm than those you play against.

  • @Aizera

    I was the one who commented, or as the narrator puts it: "complained" about Hector's experience lead in the first video. In the video he made it sound like I was trying to discredit Hector winning the 1v2, but that shade is kind of misplaced. I'm not saying that "Hector cannot win without that 2-level lead", but stating that "the exact scenario of acquiring a level lead 1v2 is very UNLIKELY to happen for regular players (the lux kind of inted and didn't pressure the numbers advantage), and thus unrealistic and difficult to learn from" because people in general, won't have that same scenario.
    But aside from that, I'm glad you guys took the comment seriously and made an entire new video. And guess what? Turns out this video is a lot better. It shows much more relatable scenarios, and how to benefit from day to day low elo situations. It turns out to be a lot more helpful because:
    1) Hector touches upon how losing first tower could actually be beneficial. Giving up objectives on purpose is hard for low elo players to do, cause they don't know what to fight for and what to let go, and I myself is guilty of wanting to protect bot tower at all costs, just for the sake of it.
    2) Low elo players stand around mid lane and share XP, a lot. Hector spent a lot of time alone doing useful things, while racking up farm. Yes, he has mechanics, but this point is still helpful because I can copy at the very least the rotation in my own games.
    3) Defender's advantage. It's omitted a lot in general videos, because a lot of videos tend to teach how to get a lead and play the ahead game, but not the other way around. In low elo, people will throw, and this is a good demonstration of how to take advantage of said throws.
    4) Hector's microphone commentary is an excellent addition. Getting a peek at his thought process helps you think about your own decisions. He also specifically mentions that low elo players don't know how to sidelane, which is one of the things I want to actively work on. Also he's funny and the commentary is enjoyable.
    One thing I kind of don't get here, is Hector mentioning that Caitlyn "does not fix the side wave", what exactly does fixing a side wave mean? Is it different from simply collecting the incoming wave and pushing it past the river? And is it something that Caitlyn specifically has to do, or is it doable by others?

    • @MrZigljasin
      @MrZigljasin 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeah the last question when he says she doesnt fix the wave left me wondering
      As far as i know ur supposed to push the wave towards them so it passes the river and then rotate to diff lane or jg if all lanes are pushed up to get some more farm
      The only thing i could come up with is that i saw hector was obly last hirring the waves so maybe cait had to come with supp/jg and push that wave into the tower i guess?

    I want to preface this by saying I love this video, it’s super helpful, and I look forward to taking this wisdom into ranked (I’m a mid main that wishes he could win as an adc). Now, that having been said, if you want to torture hector more, give him a support that shoves the waves to “create tower pressure” after he loses that tower early. This way he can’t freeze and get more CS back.

    It's so hard to prevent teammates from dying while you're on a side line, they always want to fight out of nowhere. Here's an experience of a gold elo game:
    Had a huge lead playing as ekko in the midlane, had tp so i told my bottom to rotate mid so that i could keep presure on a sidelane so my team can pick up objectives, but instead they just kept fighting mid over and over even when i told them to be careful because i was gonna be pressuring bottom. When i lose those kind of games i get flamed hard because they say i have to stick to them, but like sharing xp and gold it's not the ideal. I sometimes try to explain what they should do but they never change their gameplan. I sometimes get teammates that it's so easy to communicate to them and they follow calls but sometimes i wonder why they think it's a good idea to aram mid all the time.

      @fredozm 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I guess is because these are the kind of "highlight moments" that they think it is the "game itself" so you need to show up and show how huge of a lead you got, the thing is that most of the time your team will tend to group and fight even if the comp isn't good for it ( kha jg, camille/fiora top, ashe+thresh bot lane). I lose those games even grouping but sometimes it works, mostly when the adc knows how to position well, anyway, I guess you need to balance the styles, the grouping and the splitting, teleport may add a lot for that too.

      Provided you ward and see her coming, you hit her with the cone slow from out of her range, she then has to commit to ulti when slowed, or just let you back off.
      If she commits and you have good mechanics (and if you dont, adc is not for you) then you hit her with arrow after a dash and she dies stunned to your As buff. At the start of the dash you know where it finishes, which is how you aim it so she cant dodge it.
      If she doesn't, then she gets frustrated and just goes and tries to kill your top Chogath instead and wastes ulti.
      Early in teamfights when she wanders too far forward looking for picks, you slow her with your cone. At that point Cho can Q her, you can ulti her if you have a greedy assassin mid waiting around she often dies to them.

    I've applied the let the turret die when losing lane very hard. I've learned this when i saw in professional escene how they let the inhibitor fall down before 20 minutes so they can farm more as the enemy is not likely to end the game so early. The same concept applies here. I usually let the turret die before the turret plates are down, at 10 or 12 minutes, so i have plenty of time to farm before the enemy can extend their lead and i will be very powerful when the nashor is up at 20 mins.

    One thing about letting your turret fall: while the enemies might go off to roam, it's also possible that they'll decide "frick this, supp go mid help team, adc farm and push bot". This would put Hector at a great disadvantage, either having to fight with a fed enemy ADC, or farming somewhere else and letting the enemy ADC get incomprehensible amounts of gold and maybe even taking your inhibitor earlier than any other lane

    Also a nice fact about sidelanemanagement: If you manage to freeze or overall make the lane slowpush towards you, no low elo player will ever react to it. So the enemy Team misses 300 Gold every Minute. That actually is huge. Especially if you are freezing at your tier 2 tower, where you can stand save.

    @zeta9232 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    Personally I think that you can probably let your tower die while you’re ahead. Not only does it give you easier farm, but I think it’s important for 2 more reasons. 1: the enemy ADC (assuming bot lane took the tower) might just roam around and leach XP from the rest of their team, while probably not providing for their team in any meaningful way. 2: Though it depends on the elo, a lot of times the enemy team might just try to take inner turrets just because it’s an objective on the screen. If the enemy ADC and support try to take inner turret, the winning ADC and someone else from that team can hopefully win the 2v2 and then with that lead they can take towers, drake, or baron

    For the question at the end. No, it will not be beneficial when ahead, when behind it will be. Reasons why is that if you properly play your own macro, sabotaging your own turret will mean you have to pick up more waves on that lane. Meaning you will not be there for the objectives you should be picking up. If a fed Kaisa decides to not take a turret but instead let her turret fall, she will fall behind to the enemy and has to come back through enemy mistakes, instead you can pick the better option of getting ahead and making as little mistakes as possible. That way you don't rely on enemy mistakes, but instead on trying to extend your lead by making as little mistakes yourself as possible (which is exactly the same thing as when behind, but now without the enemy factor)

    I found the mechanic behind losing first Tower to be _somewhat_ similar to losing Inhibitor very early on (like 15-20 minutes). If you just destroyed the enemy team's Inhib at 15 minutes, congrats, you're actively sabotaging your team out of CS, and by proxy, gold. That lane is automatically pushing towards the enemy team and you won't be able to farm properly.
