I love your channel, but I disagree with something you said here involving Neville and interaction with his mother. You said she doesn’t recognise him when she hands him a Lilly/candy wrapper. I disagree. I think she does recognise him. It is the live she has for him that means she wants to provide for him, to take care of him, to give him everything she can. Her brain has been so addled, so broken, this is all she can manage. Why do I think like this? We are repeatedly told that love is the most powerful magic in the HP universe. Is there a more powerful love than what a mother has for a child? We saw it with Lily and Harry. We saw it with Molly and Ginny. We even see it with Narcissa and Draco. This is evident here with Neville and his mother. She is so damaged that she cannot function, but her love for Neville means she is reaching out to show him she loves him. Love will find a way. I think Neville knew this and Neville’s mother knew this, she just couldn’t show her love any other way. I always, and I believe Neville does as well, saw the wrapper as so much more than a piece of rubbish.
This is the very reason that reading the book and watching the movie is imperative! The books offer a lot of information on the characters and situations...helps with connecting all the dots.
There's next to nobody in the Slytherin house that is a muggleborn. They would be shunned for sure for being even remotely related to anybody who has magical blood.
Great video - I think that all of the Tom Riddle Stories are important. The very first one is about Marvolo and his family before Tom is even born. Fascinating stuff.
So Mafalda Prewet was cut from the books... Yet we do have the ministry employee Mafalda Hopkirk. If I remember correctly it was even Mafalda Hopkirk who Hermione impersonated during the their mission in the ministry to steal the locket Horcrux from Umbridge. Was Rowling trying to make it up for Mafalda's removal this way?
Movies can’t portray everything within the books if it did no one would’ve watched the seventh movies we all would’ve been bored to tears. Movies of books are always the generalized version of events. They’re supposed to spark the interest to read the books to get a better understanding.
Yeah and Ron got to share Harry's spotlight whether or not Harry wanted to be in the spotlight in the first place, but Ron got his comupings from always being in all of his older brothers shadows.
Assuming the HBO is faithful and will indeed be successful and will run for all 7 books, I’m hoping they will include most of the bits that were cut or not included in the books. There’s too many to list, but on the subject of HBP, I’d like to see the Battle of the Astronomy Tower and Dumbledore’s funeral
As both a Potterhead and a petrolhead, I have a little niggle about your otherwise wonderful illustrations. The Weasley's flying car is specifically described as a Ford Anglia in the books and shown as such in the movies. What you have there at 0:23 is more like an MGB coupe, about as far from an Anglia as you could get...
So basically the Mafalda information is basically useless? No hate. Just like Tom Bombadil; pointless content does nothing for the Legendarium. Love the video regardless! Keep on keeping on!
Why is this speculation done? Because in the second book right after “Donny’s Warning” & in the film, Harry’s warning letter from the Ministry about the breach is sent by Mafalda Hopkirk, who is again referred to in The Deathly Hallows, when the 3 break into the Ministry using Polyjuice Potion. I prefer not to go through all the “what if’s” especially seeing as JK Rowling’s shape shitting Boggart has burst out of the closet.
I always found the Ginny character to be very weak. It would have been interesting for Harry to fall for a frenemy with real talent instead of Ginny, no matter how talented she is/was
I'm a Harry-Parvati shipper personally. I always wonder what would happen if Harry hadn't blown her off at the Yule Ball. There is even a brief moment when he is intoxicated by Parvati's hair during a OWL exam
Harry personally didn't deserve Snape's hatred towards him because he was only a little boy at the time and it was his father, god father and favorite teacher that deserved his hatred.
And Neville keeps every candy wrapper his mother gives him no matter what his grandmother says.😁
Honestly that's the one scene in HP that breaks me every fucking time I read it.

This is so beautifully written.
It's also not tge first time Harry sees it, Harry saw the memory, Dumbledore told him to not reveal it and let Neville reveal when he's ready.
I agree! Well said
Why is it always mother's love huh. You do know a father can love his child as well. That's what's stronger than mother's love. Answered your question

Hagrid is as harmless as his dog Fang is and I like both of them 😀
The Ginny of the books is not weak, the movies painted her awfully tho

Awesome thanks I do wish we could have gotten more good slytherin characters eventhough I love the books!
The movies could be at least 3 hours long and I would've seen them in their entirety and enjoyed the heck out of them.😊
I've always thought the last two books at least should have been two-parters, and yes three hours long. The movies leave to much out.
how is umbridge alond to take their brooms? they own them.

Also, Molly is a present not Arthur. Her brothers Fabian and Gideon were killed by bolide or death eaters
Fantastic!
Snape only cared about protecting Lilly only at first, he couldn't care less about Harry or James.
Hagrid just like monsters and non monsters as well.😁

I thought I remembered a Mafalda somewhere! And she was a muggle born.

Mafalda Weasley is in my Hogwarts Fanfic on Wattpad.
The 'golden trio' know Hagrid personally Rita Skeeter doesn't.
Gotta be Neville, of course.
They were banned from the game for ever , not just the year.
She has such a cute name.
It's another scene that should've been in the movie.

@MrNoucfeanor but, but, Tom Bombadil is a merry fellow. Bright blue his jacket is, and his boots are yellow.

Book Ginny was pretty strong and spunky to me

The truth should always be necessary no matter how negative it might be because it's what it is.
I hate that wizards do whatever they want to muggles and never have to suffer any consequences it's so freaking messed up.
Yeah all magical people hate all non magical people and feel that they are better than them because they can do what non magical people can't do.
