Zuehlke - yeah pronunciation was like really good. You'd pronounce the ue like the y in sympathy or symptom if you want to pronounce the Z like a German, treat it like a Ts Tsyl keh But i assume its more the American style which is a soft S - syl keh
Another thing I like about this battle is that the Alpha Legion were building this carefully constructed well, disciplined chaos force, and then as soon soon as the world eaters show up, they ruin everything and destroy all the discipline in the ranks that the Legion had been building by turning them into bloodthirsty maniacs who don’t care about their own safety.

@@KrakDuk there are a few world eaters that really know what they’re doing and remember that Khorne is supposed to be a god of war which does include strategy, they just aren’t the ones in charge most of the time regrettably.
I absolutely love how little the dark angels sucsessors actually helped, they show up, fight, one sort of out-of-the-way battle in a place that isn’t actually that strategically that important, gather information about the fallen, immediately leave. Perfect hater behavior.

Im still relatively new to 40k so im learning all the time. I did have to double check that Hector Rex wasnt actually a dinosaur. I mean this universe is wild man i couldnt rule it out...
the siege of Vraks kills me because it was just a bureaucratic nightmare, made worse by the laziness of the upper chain of command. dude just sat in his posh quarters, stuffing his face, and not even bothering to read the data slates. just figured, hey, keep sending in the Kreigs and this'll be over soon enough lol and, honestly, i cannot think of a better way to write modern military, or corporate, plans. just some high dude, surrounded by sychophants, telling him what a great job he's doing, with absolutely zero idea of what it's really like.
The Siege of Vraks managed to turn me off the Death Korps for a little while. They really made them seem like completely incompetent suicidal idiots. Only Janovich has managed to make Vraks sound like it wasn't a completely idiotic affair. I prefer the Octarius War description of crazy badass Krieg.

First it wasn’t all workers, there were also a good chunk of Vraksian PDF They had the advantage of being on defense and starting out with all the forts available. The main citadel in particular was in a very good defensive position and had a ton of void shields and stuff Vraks was an armory world so it had a ton of weapons and supplies, whereas the imperials would need to get all their stuff off planet or from forts they captured. So a logistical issue By the time the vraksians were losing steam and faltering to the attrition the Alpha legion joined up and then later heavily reinforced them with chaos forces including more marines, titans, and a bunch of cultists. Also Zuehlke was being very conservative with the attack and it’s kinda said this is one of the reasons the siege got so dragged out. If he was more aggressive in the start he may have been able to leverage his overwhelming numbers before the vraksians could get reinforcements. I’m sure there’s other reasons but those are the ones off the top of my head. Thanks again for watching!

Still the of point of "defence is easier than offense" is the main reason plus psykers, ogryns were VERY effective, while loyalists couldn't use something like that and of course better astartes help, when chaos SMs were fighting almost everywhere Dark angels/scorpions/grey knights/red hunters were fighting only when they wanted or when they were said to do so. But STILL I'm furious when GW making Imperial guard this stupid and ineffective. Meat grinder... dude they have magnificent equipment and tactics that were used for 10 000 years! AND STILL THEY HAD KILL/ DEATH RATIO 1-2 in heretics favor, EVEN AFTER ALL OF THAT HELL!

Also Zuehlke was being very conservative with the attack and it’s kinda said this is one of the reasons the siege got so dragged out. If he was more aggressive in the start he may have been able to leverage his overwhelming numbers before the vraksians could get reinforcements.

Still the of point of "defence is easier than offense" is the main reason plus psykers, ogryns were VERY effective, while loyalists couldn't use something like that and of course better astartes help, when chaos SMs were fighting almost everywhere Dark angels/scorpions/grey knights/red hunters were fighting only when they wanted or when they were said to do so.
But STILL I'm furious when GW making Imperial guard this stupid and ineffective.
