I actually just found a set of 3 of those mini Casserole dishes, all with glass lids. My Mom gave me these decades ago and I had just left them in a box in the basement! I cherish them so much more today in 2022! Red, Grey and the Lime color.
That was so informative & fun to watch. Growing up, my mom had the pink bowl set with the gooseberry pattern, which we kids called, “suicide bowls.” We knew that if we broke them, we were as good as dead! Lol My mom still has them, and though we’re all grown with kids & even grandkids of our own, we still refer to them as suicide bowls. Thanks, Diana, for giving me their real name & pattern. I’ll have to pass the info along to my brothers & sisters.
My collection is small. I have the little mini green cassarole and used to have the lid but broke it. And A hot yellow mini oblong baking dish. No lid. I have the large pink bowl that is my popcorn bow. Also have the small rectangular refrig dishes and a couple others.. The dots in red and yellow.
We have used both sets of Homestead mixing bowls my entire life (first kitchenware my mom got) along with a casserole dish & the large & small "refrigerator" dishes. They are amazing & I am about to start collecting as I move out since they are nearly indestructible, my brother and I started washing them when we were 5 and never even chipped them.
