Oh Hello There!. My mother is an antiques dealer specializing in mid-century kitchenware and I'm her gatherer of Pyrex, and I am SO happy to share what I know and I am not sure if in the other 436 comments someone has posted this, so forgive me if others have already filled the gaps in your knowledge. I'll try to do a list of comments using timestamps from the video. 3:34 - Buttefly Gold 1 Bake Serve & Store, sizes 471 (sm) and 473 (lg). if they are truly dishwasher damaged and not just baked on dirt, no way yet has been found to permanently restore them to original shine If you oil them, they hold the shine until you wash them again. You are missing the 472 (md) dish, which will be white with gold flowers. 4:09 - Butterfly Gold 1 (first variation) was produced from 1972 to 1979. You have what is called "Cinderella" style mixing bowls, where the handles are also spouts. These are the 441 (sm) 443 (lg) and 444 (xlg). You are missing the 442 (md) it will be gold with white flowers. 4:46 The official name from company literature for this is "Verdé." It was a promotional pattern sold in grocery stores, first produced in 1967 to 1972 along with the other variation. Collectors will call it Verde Square Flowers, because "Verdé" is also the name of the set in solid paint in green shades. It is hard to tell relative sizes with just the one dish, but this looks like the 474 Round Casserole. You are missing the 475 (lg) and 473 (sm) for the original set same color scheme.. Note that 473 Round Casserole and 473 Bake Serve Store are the same dish, just marketed differently for the two sets. 4:54 - The original divided dish lid that would have come with this is also divided in the middle. It is harder to find as it was phased out around 1969, give or take. Many people use the undivided lid as you have, usually only serious collectors who want original stock care. 5:09 These two bowls are from different sets. The flowered one is Spring Blossom Green 1 (first variation) made along with Butterfly Gold 1 from '72 to '79. It is a 442 (md) cinderella dish. Coincidentally, this is the size you are missing from your butterfly gold cinderella set. The color pattern is similar, with the 441 and 443 being white with green/gold flowers and the inverse for the 442 and 444. The other bowl is a 403 mixing bowl from the Verdé set without the flowers. You are missing 404 (xlg, dark green), 402 (md, light green) and 401 (sm, yellow-green). 5:41 - This is the 043 Oval Casserole in Verdé. The original lid would be opal glass with a pattern of olive flowers on it for the first years of production. They switched to plain glass before ending the product line. This shade of green is the same as on the 402 mixing bowl. You are missing the 045 oval casserole (lg, dark green) and the 063 divided dish in light yellow-green for the set. 5:55 - This is from a standalone set of bowls called "Earthtones". I'm not sure why it shows up on the Early American advertisement that you show, because these were completely different sets. it is the 402 (md) size. There are 3 other bows that go with, as pictured in the advertisement you show, the 404 (xl), 403 (lg) and 401 (sm). 6:32 - Woodland brown was released in 1978. 7:44 - Early American was produced from 1962 to 1971. The 404 bowl you was also sold with the other 3 later on in production runs but is still hard to find. 8:11 - Primary Fridge sets were produced from 1947 to 1960. Amazing prices. Older sets do have different markings but are not considered more valuable. 9:59 - Notice the lids on your two 501 Refrigerator Dishes are different. The first one you show has the newer style lids, and the second the older style. The matching lids for the 502 blue and 503 yellow dishes will be lined in the same way, depending on if you want to get older or newer style. Also, it is possible that the 2nd 501 that you show, having a slightly lighter red color, might be from the Friendship pattern and not the Primary set. These color variations are very subtle and often need side by side comparisons to verify. 10:32 The first primary sets were produced in 1945. The older ones have a slightly thicker "foot" at the base and the markings are different as you state. They were slightly remodeled in 1950 with a smaller foot and newer style backstamp. 11:05 - Your turquoise mixers are very highly sought after and valuable. If you can thrift the other two you will be very lucky indeed. Sets like this in mint condition can go as high as $300. 12:07 - This is the 474 Round Casserole from the Horizon Blue pattern, produced frrom 1969 to 1972. You are missing the 473 (sm) and 475 (lg) to make the set. Only the 474 is a solid blue. the other two are white with the distinctive Horizon Blue pattern on them in blue paint. 12:30 - These 083 Individiual Casseroles are commonly called "pixies" by collectors. They are rather difficult to find, and come in several colors. 13:49 - The Lime green pie plate is from 1952 as are the flamingo ones shown earlier. 14:27 - Your Orange / Pumpkin Butterprint cinderella bowls also came in sets of four.. You are actually missing the 441, 442 and 444 to complete the set. These are exceedingly rare and sought after. A full set of 4 in mint condition can go as high as #350. 15:20 - $40 for a full set with lids is a very good bargain. I"ve seen these go for $100 or more depending on where they are being sold. 15:41 - Your 1063 Opal Divided dishes were produced in or after 1960. They were sold individually and do not have a matching lid. These are one of the least collectible pyrex dishes. I frequently see these for thrifting for $1 or so and routinely pass them up at that price. 16:36 - The bracket for the chip and dip sets is very very hard to find. There is, and I'm sorry i don't have more info, someone makeing reproductions that are often sold with these for functionality and not collectability. 18:54 - The carrying caddy you have was made for the Corningware Cornflower set of glass cooking/baking dishes. the stamped number of the carrier will have a corresponding number for the original dish that came with it. I hope this helps you out and you didnt find it to repetitive!! if you have any questions feel free to ask, I will usualy have an answer or have the resources to get you one! Thanks for your video! Derrick C
Derrick Coyne Thank you so much for time stamping!! It was amazing to read your advice and info to Laci and see the collection. I envy your job Pyrex hunting!
Yes my pyrex loving heart loves this! I love learning more info! I collect & resell at vintage markets sometime in our area. I found myself saying things youBbn pointed out lol Thanks for sharing!
Hi Derek: I got the large turquoise mixer today for $20 Canadian from a vendor at an Antique Market. Then I saw the small turquoise mixer for $40 at an another vendor's booth. I didn't buy the small one because I thought it was priced too high compared to $20 for the large mixer. I am now thinking I should have bought the small one, What are your thoughts?
This was so fun to see! I’m a Pyrex collector, too! I used to collect everything then it took over my home so I chose my favorite pattern and settled on just that one. Now my entire kitchen is Butterfly Gold. I own every single piece in the collection, all found in the wild. It took me years to complete and I had so much fun searching for it. I use all of it every day, too! Thanks for sharing all your wonderful finds!
I have a bunch of the Butterfly gold coffee cups and I use them every single day love the feel of them. The more narrow at the bottom ones. Anna In Ohio.
I started buying pyrex because pyrex was super cheap & fun. After thrifting 10 different full sets & 9 3 bowl sets, a few casserole sets, 10 fridge sets. Now that it's a hot trendy thing to buy, I stopped mainly because the prices are insane.
Oh my God, I love Pyrex! My mom and I collect China and crystal through thrifting, and we have quite a collection. Also, thanks to you, I’ve started dressing fifties style like I’ve always wanted! Quarantine really made me realize that I should wear what I want without worrying about what others think. My husband loves it, and I’m so happy now. Thank you so much.
I’ve always felt as tho I was born in the wrong era ever since I was a little girl I would love to dress 👗 and live life like that maybe I’ll have courage one day life’s to short not to live out your dreams !!!❤️❤️❤️
I can't begin to remember all the Pyrex my mom had throughout the years. However, I will always remember the huge turquoise bowl with the white design (no idea what pattern) because that was the bowl she ALWAYS served potato salad in! My mother was not exactly the world's finest cook. Only person I've ever known to burn a hamburger and it still be bloody inside. I think ya get my point. However, she made THE world's best potato salad. I watched her make it hundreds of times, know those ingredients by heart and mine still is not as good as hers. Maybe it was the bowl. Mom wasn't well medically for a few years before she passed so she wasn't cooking much and certainly wasn't making any potato salad. After she died, my siblings and I were each taking a few items that held a special meaning. I couldn't find that bowl so said something about it. My sister said it was donated to the local thrift store a few years earlier. Mom had asked her to help go through the kitchen and storage and she had not wanted to keep such a big bowl. I was pretty upset but hope that whoever bought it uses it for their potato salad and the bowl works its magic for them, too.
Ahh thanks so much for sharing your special memories of your mom!! So sad about the bowl. Maybe you can find one like it someday ❤️ oh also- my mom makes delicious potato salad too!! She uses the Pyrex she got for her wedding. 😊
That's how cooking always seems to go... 2 people making the identical recipe and each other's always tastes better. There's just something about eating someone else's cooking!!
Walt's wife here. I also collect Pyrex, but, also tin cake carriers, flour sifters. bread boxed and vintage rolling pins and kitchen gadgets in my 1930's home. I have a Hoosier cabinet, art deco green/cream stove, enamel table set. and a 1935 fridge. Si I am really going retro!
This Is Awesome 😄👍 I Just Got My Pyrex Colorfully Bowl Set I Found At An Antique Mall And I Love It. I Have My Grandmother's Green Pyrex Bowl. I Don't Remember Her Having A Set. But So Happy I Found The Set. Now, I Have The Hole Set And 2 Green Pyrex Bowls ❤
My grandparents had the apple! I remembered it when I saw the picture of it. My grandfather used to put Hersey miniatures in it. I don't know what happened to it after my grandfather passed and wished I had taken it. But with the help of my friend we found one on Etsy for $5!! I'm so excited to have it! I loved the video! Can't wait to see your other collections!!
I found 7 pink daisys at the good will in perfect condition. Grabbed them so fast cost me 42 dollars .This was the best 42 dollars I have ever spent .Love anything pink collect all of it but pink is my jam. I just found you in facebook .i will look for you again enjoyed your vidio.
When visiting my parents for christmas I saw a box my mother was donating and in it was a Blue heaven by Royale bowl . I asked her for it and of course she said yes. Now I have it displayed in my kitchen and even though it is small it brings me so much joy when I see it. I wish I had the whole set but I am content with this little one for now. Thanks for the the video!
That was so neat. I like how you put the old ads up of some of your collection. It was a big thing to get these sets for a bridle shower or a wedding. Well done and take care ❤️ 🇨🇦
I buy and sell antiques and collectibles (I also work for a speed shop/classic car resto shop). Awesome Pyrex collection! Any pink Pyrex and limited edition Pyrex are my big Pyrex sellers.
I love pyrex...but I use all mine! I have the yellow, red, green, and blue sets. Two of them, and they are still going strong!! All the vintage kitchen things work so much better than the new stuff!
Yes! I use several of these pieces regularly. Most used is probably the pink flamingo baking dish. Also my yellow mixing bowl, and the pie plates. Oh I agree. Pie baked in Pyrex tastes better 😉
Hi! Great collection! I'm a fellow vintage Pyrex collector. I have tried to restore dishwasher damaged dishes, Be careful using barkeepers friend on the painted part of the pyrex (it is abrasive and can take the paint off). I use peek for metal marks and coconut oil to shine it up (olive oil would work too). Thanks for sharing your collection with us! I hope you find the rest of the pumpkin butterprint, awesome it was your grandma's 🙂
I grew up with this. My mother had the spring blossom green. I still have some of her pieces and I use them. However, because I grew up with this stuff, I prefer earthenware. The value of these items amazes me.
I have the large turquoise balloon bowl. I used to live in Eastern Idaho & I had to take a dish to a funeral. A friend dropped the bowl off with her food in it. I asked her if she wanted it back & she said no. She got it as a wedding gift in the 50s in the whole set. She said that since I had a 1955 house at the time the bowl went with my salmon colored counters with turquoise boomerangs. I have other pieces & I still use them all.
Cool collection! My 81-year-old mother has the balloon chip and dip set. She got it as a wedding shower gift in 1959. There is a family color snapshot photo of her on the floor with her gifts and the set is next to her out of the box with the box in the background. She used to make Jello in the small bowl when I was a kid in the '70s! I found a small balloon bowl back in 1999 and bought it for $3. Even then I knew the pattern was hard to find. I don't collect but I have a few vintage pieces I use often: my paternal grandmother's red tapered square bowl with the rounded corners and flatter lid; a large gradated brown cinderella bowl I thrifted in 2010 (I have a 1966 house with the original brown/tan/white kitchen/same style cabinets that are in the Beverly Hillbillies' kitchen!); and a large white cinderella bowl with the brown Early American pattern that I thrifted in 1987 (I was moving into my first apt/ I took my mom with me/her first thrift adventure/she told me to buy it, that it would be useful/I didn't like the brown at the time for something midcentury, rather have had aqua at the time). Now, it's the piece that I own that means the most to me. My mom also has a 1960s Early American oval casserole dish (brown background/gold motif/clear lid) that she would use occasionally and has stored in the original box. Thanks for sharing your collection!
My husband has fond memories of the bug yellow bowl. His mother used to make everything from stew and spaghetti and her famous" Scalped" Potatoes. She passed away and one of the daughters got the bowl. I went on a business trip and was passing time in a thrift store and found one. I brought it home to him and he was so thrilled to have it. Now every holiday, the bowl makes an appearance. I have the Harvest Wheat from the early 80's- a wedding gift. I use it every day!
The set at 15:54 reminded me of the infamous dress from years ago. “Some see blue and brown, some see white and gold”. This might make people hate me, lol.
Thank you so much for sharing this! I too am a Pyrex collector and was thrilled to see your collection! You have some beautiful pieces. I collect mine as you do yours, finding here and there piece by piece. I collect nesting bowls mostly but easily fall in love with other pieces. My most treasured is my turquoise nesting set, it was a gift from a dear friend. The dish pattern you have is called green daisy, the blue pinwheel is the pattern that you were also talking about. Your blue covered dish is a promotional piece from the Horizon blue collection, and your yellow cake plate may be from the friendship collection. (I'm not 100% sure) Keep sharing your treasures and your adorable kitties! You bring a lot of joy! Sonia
That flower with that dress is just perfect. You are adorable! I am not a collector but I do have and use Fire King Jade-ite coffee cups and a serving bowl almost everyday. I LOVE the green color. I also have a chipped Fire King Peach Lusterware cup I keep my earrings in. I really enjoyed the ad inserts as you talked about eat pattern.
My oh my!!!! I’m so jealous 🥰. My daughter and have just watched this together and both agree that you have a beautiful collection. Makes the plain glass stuff look so insignificant. Can’t wait to hunt out my own collection once the charity shops open that is. Thank you so much for sharing 🤗
This was so much fun to watch, Laci! I think of how thrilling it must feel when you find a piece you’re collection. And now I want some! PS - turquoise is my fave too! 😊
Omg yes! Loved this video. I have the cornflower blue set from my mom (I believe it was my grandmothers set too). They still cook like a dream! Such even baking and the dish holds it heat for serving. I also have a couple of pieces of the colorful flower set too. Those are ones that will always remind me of my mom because she cooks so much and I picked up the hobby! 😃
Laci, you inspired my daughter, and then me to collect Pyrex! I grew up with it! My mom had 2 sets! The 4 piece nesting primary colors & the turquoise Amish butterprint nesting bowls! After 56 years of marriage only a few of the bowls have survived! It must have been my brothers who broke the other bowls! lol
Brother's my foot! You were washing them by hand and they slipped out of your because your hands were wet and slippery (been there done that - broke my heart, I was really fond of that dish, used it a lot)!
Just started watching your videos a few weeks ago. You are so lovely and wonderful. Thank you for being you and sharing your love of 1950's history with us. I've learned so much from you already :)
I kept all of my grandmother's Spring Blossom Pyrex, she had the full set of dishes and most of the casseroles, etc. I've been slowly growing my collection since then. I only collect that pattern, but there are so many beautiful ones that I wish I had the space for.
Pyrex is so pretty! I’m on the hunt for the blue! If I owned a home I would paint my kitchen turquoise I love your kitchen! My home I grew up in was painted peach in the kitchen!
My husband and I just found your channel today ! What a fun channel ! I love the fifties and enjoy seeing how you live and decorate as if in that decade ! We both this Pyrex video , you have some amazing pieces ! Look forward to catching up on your videos ! I’m telling all my friends to watch your channel because it’s just so refreshing and fun!
I have finally completed my pink gooseberry print mixing bowl set with all 4 bowls, so happy! 👏🏻I also have several of the raspberry colored pieces such as the pie pan, bread pan and brownie pan. I also love the pink bakeware! 🥰Loved seeing your collection- so awesome you have gotten most thrifting, I seem to never find any when I’m thrifting! 🥴
Im shocked my dear how mush information!! So cool! I love my Pyrex and Corningware. Mom used ro have some in early 80’ and I used to love them. Now Im inspired to get some more pyrex.
I'll be glad when I can thrift again. I've been trying to find the pyrex my grandmother had. No such luck she had a complete brown set from either late 50s early 60s. But even though i have a busy schedule I'm redoing my kitchen and living area to fit the 40s and 50s era. My mother in law says I have an old soul. Your fur baby stole the spotlight in the beginning wanting your attention. Take care girl and have a blessed day.
Omg me too!! I’ve been missing thrifting so much. Hopefully you can find the pieces you’re looking for very soon! Haha yes. Mr Johnny Cash is a babe for sure.
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor handsome name for a handsome cat. It was given to her as a wedding gift. When she passed it was left to me in her will but it was stolen 😥 so for 11 years I been searching it was the set with mushrooms it was a huge set.
Thanks for the tour. I can see the love in your eyes for your Pyrex collection. And your dress is so cool. Your enthusiasm shines through in this video. But I feel I need to mention that it is really hard to hear. I think a microphone would help.
I absolutely love coming across pyrex in the thrift stores but I think they are getting smart to how collectible they are because the prices can be a bit ridiculous. At least in my area. You have a wonderful collection ❤
Love your channel 💕I am so happy to hear you use your dishes. I use my vintage dishes because it brings back memories. My mother-in-law passed away 2 years ago and amongst her dishes I gravitated to that yellow Pyrex dish( TM . Reg) because I liked the size. Thanks for sharing your collection ,some of those dishes bring back childhood memories 💕 I was born in 1962 💕
Oh my stars I cannot believe the jam container I have that & never knew the history behind it . You have made my evening !! I have 4 pieces of the older pyrex the primay colors. I never heard of Fire King or the Glass Bake I love the tulip bowl. You have awakened a new enjoyment for me to start to collect pyrex !!! Thank you so much !! Have a lovely evening ( Judy )
Yes! I collect it! I have spent a fortune completing some pink sets and got many on the cheap. One grandmother had the turquoise butterprint and the other had the butterfly. Sadly, I didn't know pyrex was a thing or I would have kept some of their we made years ago. I remember my grandmother always kept her wonderful pimento cheese in a small butterprint refrigerator dish. I love using and storing food in them and displaying them and carrying them to covered dish suppers. Yours are amazing. Thanks for sharing with us! xoxox
Your chip and dip set in the top of your cabinet is similar to the grape pattern one I have. It gets used and I have many memories of my mom using it back in the day!
Love the flamingo pink. Don't remember ever seeing that color! I'm 57 so I grew up with these of so many different colors and prints depending on who was cooking or whatever we were doing. So cool!! Now I have to do some research on all I have. Got some when I was first married and also my moms stuff and grandma's stuff!
Thanks for the info on the little glass fruit containers. I have the apple and inherited it from my mom along with several pieces of her old pyrex. I asked her about the apple and she told me it was a gift from a neighbor probably in the late 50s. This was very enjoyable and you have an amazing collection!
I have a lovely mid to late 1950's wayercolor print by the artist John L. Baker that if you would like it's yours. I have no place to display it. Its entitled The Rainbow and is numbered 22. It is unframed but protected with cardboard and shrink wrap. If you're interested I can send you a picture of it. You can email me at 1rosaire2@gmail.com
My Pyrex collection has grown through the years. My favorite are the turquoise, pink and black series, but I cannot leave any Pyrex behind, so my patterns have grown into several cabinets.
I been Collecting the Butterfly Gold ..I have a set Coming in the Mail and The Corelle dishes ..Love all your Pyrex Collection! Very Nice 😀 I want to get the refridgerator set Soon . Thanks Laci 🙋🏼♀️ Have great day! 🏠🌳 ☀️☁️
Have you been on the website (Pyrex/Corelle)? 😍 It's too bad the delivery fees are almost doubling the prices because I would have ordered some 100 anniversary sets.
@@sharonc6505 I'm all into the turquoise stuff now lol so I found the 2cups anniversary cup in turquoise at Walmart. I wanted the 1cup in white and other exclusive items, but when I saw the fees I was: no way, forget it.
Pyrex goals!!! I can’t believe you found all those thrifting! I only have about 15 pieces and none of them match 😅 it’s nearly impossible to find Pyrex at my local thrift stores anymore!
What a lovely lovely collection. I'm starting my Pyrex journey piece by piece. Snowflake Garland was my late mom pattern she got for her wedding. She had the blue with the white snowflakes. I think 1972-1975 if memory serves me is when Pyrex made that. My DREAM set is pink on white Gooseberry. I did find a mint condition set, in the BOX of Cinderella bowls. They wanted $1000. I couldn't justify the cost for bowls, albeit a pristine set. I just couldn't do it. Its my favorite. This was so much fun Laci Day. You got awesome finds and deals. Wow. Thank you for sharing. IDK if you have a certain budget but the Tulip Bowls I've seen several pieces and sets on Etsy and from lots of sellers😉 That's where I've been searching as well.
Thank you!! Oh yes I know that pattern. It’s lovely! Also pink gooseberry is awesome. I don’t blame you, I wouldn’t have paid that either. Keep hunting! It will find you. Thank you!! I will check it out, but I definitely try to stick to thrifting as much as possible.
I have bough last year? my first Pyrex (before I started being all vintage influenced) It's a transparent storage bowl with white butter print. Did you lookup your birth year pattern? I don't like mine lol. I have only Corelle dishes too, that have pretty collectable patterns.
You are such a breath of Freshair.I really want a refrigerator set.You have an amazing collection.I am trying to research more when we can't be out thrifting.
Loved this video. I have some just like yours. Love old things too. Loved the lime pyrex plate what a pretty bright colors. Hope you have them insured they are worth a fortune. Like how you showed the add too. Keep this stuff coming.
A few year's ago my husband, bought me the Reproduction of Barbie loves to Cook, I have her on my countertop, she's so lovely, some may think it's old fashioned, but I just love her.
New subscriber, I am so thrilled to see all your Pyrex, I have been collecting Pyrex since 2016 I also collect Fire king and I have some Glass Bake and Federal Glass. Thank you for sharing.
My Mom had the Primary Colors set that you show in the ad @ 10:16. Pretty sure it was a wedding present from when she got married in 1953? I know a couple of them got broken, and I think one of my sisters probably had whats left. Lots of good memories of eating scalloped potatoes and mac and cheese baked in them.
Hey beautiful! Wow, you have the most superb collection, I would love to start a Pyrex collection of my own, you have inspired me for sure! That flamingo pink series is to die for! Thanks so much for sharing with us all🙏 Big shout out to Johnny Cash too, sweet kitty❤️Xx
I use willow pattern crockery because it’s easy to find. Unfortunately, I break a lot. Just broke a cup by knocking it off the counter. I can’t collect anything breakable. But Pyrex is lovely and glass is so environmentally friendly. A good friend was a glass engineer. The ads that you showed throughout the video were fab. Very nice production.
First: You are adorable! Second: I am just getting started collecting Pyrex and this video was so helpful. Especially inspiring that you paid very little for most of your pieces. Thank you 😘
Thanks so much, this was one of my top most hoped for videos ❤ My fav patterns are the balloons and snowflakes, but my fav flower is also tulips so adore that bowl. I am also wanting to collect the Fire King jade green bowls. Thanks, Laci!
I’m watching this again after a few years, and wonder how your collection has grown . I just bought a complete Old Orchard Cinderella set at Goodwill today. Most of my sets were pieced. ❤
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor I hopped straight onto Ebay here in the UK and found some great pieces, armish turquoise, Cinderella pink, a dark green shamrock or clover one, plenty of yellow with black starburst on (pos my favourite) BUT resisted the temptation to start another collection of anything!!! My big thing is Sylvac vases with the budgerigar on. One day I'll put it on my Instagram for you to see @retrosilver60. You are my favourite TH-camr x

Derrick C
Thanks for all the info! So good to know. I sure appreciate you taking the time to help me out. 😊
Wow Derrick! Thanks for all your knowledge! My grandmother loved Pyrex! You are a wealth of knowledge! Very cool!
Sorry BUT your kitty TOTALLY stole your thunder in this video 😻😻😻
Haha I know right?! He was such a good helper for this one 😻
I need a fur baby 😼😺😻
2:17 Cat is saying, hello time for pets now. 🥰
I’m so glad you enjoyed! Oh I could see how that can happen haha. That’s awesome you found it all.
I have a bunch of the Butterfly gold coffee cups and I use them every single day love the feel of them. The more narrow at the bottom ones. Anna In Ohio.
“In the wild” that’s how I love finding mine too!
Vintage Pyrex has been found to leach lead, and other heavy metals into food and drinks.
ChickenStamps , do you have the devided dish and how do you use yours?
I think your the only one that can still look this beautiful during this pandemic!- I adore that dress!!
You’re so sweet. Thank you!
I started buying pyrex because pyrex was super cheap & fun. After thrifting 10 different full sets & 9 3 bowl sets, a few casserole sets, 10 fridge sets.
Now that it's a hot trendy thing to buy, I stopped mainly because the prices are insane.
These old prices make me shed a tear. I miss those days 😂
I would love to see your updated Pyrex collection! This video inspired me to start collecting three years ago! 🥰
Your vintage Pyrex was my wedding gifts. I have a few pieces that survived our almost 51 years of marriage, and 4 kids
Oh that’s awesome!
Omg that makes me so happy to hear. Good for you. ❤️❤️
However,
I will always remember the huge turquoise bowl with the white design (no idea what pattern) because that was the bowl she ALWAYS served potato salad in!
I think Mom got that as a wedding gift, too. I keep my eyes open but I'm much too frugal to buy from ebay. lol
I think Mom got that as a wedding gift, too. I keep my eyes open but I'm much too frugal to buy from ebay. lol
1958 is a great year, its the year I was created! Really enjoy your collection, its more fun to find at yard sales and thrift stores.
Oh nice! I’m sure it still carries those fond memories. Nice find.
My mom would definitely love this! We've used Pyrex since like forever
Oh nice! It really is great to cook with!
I just looked it up, and the Pyrex my father and I have are the mixing bowls from the 1972 Snowflake Blue set.
Oh wow that’s awesome! You saved it! Good job. 😊
That was so neat. I like how you put the old ads up of some of your collection. It was a big thing to get these sets for a bridle shower or a wedding. Well done and take care ❤️ 🇨🇦
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed. Oh I bet. That would be a lovely gift.
I buy and sell antiques and collectibles (I also work for a speed shop/classic car resto shop). Awesome Pyrex collection! Any pink Pyrex and limited edition Pyrex are my big Pyrex sellers.
I always think it's nice when someone shares their passion for collecting like you do.
Thank you!
I love pyrex...but I use all mine! I have the yellow, red, green, and blue sets. Two of them, and they are still going strong!! All the vintage kitchen things work so much better than the new stuff!
Oh ps....this is Johns wife Allison! Lol
Oh good to know. Thank you!! I hope I can find it too. 😊
I have 50 plus pieces of the Blue Heaven dishware. Plates, bowls, sugar and milk bowls even a gravy boat. So funny to see someone with it.
I grew up with this. My mother had the spring blossom green. I still have some of her pieces and I use them. However, because I grew up with this stuff, I prefer earthenware. The value of these items amazes me.
I was so inspired by your collection that I started my own today. Got 2 pieces of vintage pyrex on my 1st trip out!
You have the sweetest personality and your smile is contagious!!💁🏼♀️
So happy for history and you showing us collection
It takes awhile to add to any collection but it's so fun to watch it grow 🌺
Shabby French Door 🤯
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed! You’re right. It just takes time, especially when you are thrifting.
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor thrifting is so much fun 🌺
I absolutely love your pyrex collection.
You edit your videos so well!! I like the way you include those little historical pics 👍😉You are a professional!
Oh that’s amazing about your grandma!! How neat that you have the photo. Thanks so much for sharing!
That cat absolutely love you!
I love pyrex. You have an amazing collection ❤
Thank you!
I have the whole tulips 🌷 set from my great grandmother, my mom gave me a lot of vintage kitchen stuff.
Oh wow that’s awesome! Family pieces are the best!
Hello Laci , all your videos are amazing, watching from California 🇺🇸
The set at 15:54 reminded me of the infamous dress from years ago. “Some see blue and brown, some see white and gold”. This might make people hate me, lol.
Oh I never thought of that! Haha. They are a bit iridescent.
It took me forever to finally see blue/black. I mean months of time :D
(I'm not 100% sure)
Keep sharing your treasures and your adorable kitties! You bring a lot of joy!
Sonia
Oh awesome! Sounds like you have a wonderful collection. Oh thanks for the info! ❤️❤️
Thanks so much!! Oh yes. Jadeite is really pretty!
I just started collecting Pyrex, and I'm up for collecting other brands as well.
I am a huge glass collector! I only cook with glass bowls - the sound of metal bowls with metal utensils are like fingernails on a chalkboard to me!!
Lacy, your collection is amazing! It’s even more special that you have thrifted/pieces it on your own! How beautiful! ♥️
Ahh thanks so much to you and your daughter! Good luck on your hunt! I’m sending all my good thrifting vibes your way.
This video was cute and entertaining! I adore your passion for the vintage lifestyle ❤️
Ahh I’m so glad. Thank you!
This was so much fun to watch, Laci! I think of how thrilling it must feel when you find a piece you’re collection. And now I want some! PS - turquoise is my fave too! 😊
Ahh I’m so glad! Yes for sure. It’s so exciting to find Pyrex in the wild! Haha
I collect Pyrex and Fire King..but I don’t have it displayed, it’s a goal of mine...Love yours! And you cat is a sweetie!
That was an interesting video!Your kitty was so sweet, looking up at you as if to say “pay some attention to me!” ❤️
Ahh I’m so glad. Haha yeah he was a great helper 😂😻
I loved your video and all of your beautiful Pyrex pieces. You are so adorable! Keep inspiring us to collect and stay as sweet as you are. God bless!
Thanks for sharing your awesome collection I’m glad to hear you still use them!
When collecting, it's all about the hunt!😉❤
Yes! So exciting!!
Thank you! Oh that’s awesome. What wonderful memories.
GOALS!!! Thanks for sharing your amazing collection!
Hi Laci! I love this and I’m obsessed with Pyrex. New and old I love it dearly. But I did have to correct you. Butterfly Gold was introduced in 1972.
I love, love Pyrex. When I saw this video I had to watch it. Thank you for sharing and inspiring.
Pyrex is so pretty! I’m on the hunt for the blue! If I owned a home I would paint my kitchen turquoise I love your kitchen! My home I grew up in was painted peach in the kitchen!
To be honest, Laci is one of the underrated TH-camrs that needs at least 1.5M subscribers
You’re so sweet. Thank you!!
I agree!!
Our thrift stores an fleamarkets never closed. I didn't find anything though lately. I got my primary bowl set for $18 at goodwill last year.
Oh really? Ooo that’s a nice find!!
That was a gift at that price!!
The pink ones are my favorite.
Oh that’s awesome! I’d love to find more pink.
Great video, loved it
The best kind of tour is a Pyrex tour
John Tinghitella it’s interesting 🧐
Thank you! So glad you enjoyed!
Lacy Hay I have a 3 piece bowl set in brown from my Mom. Love it!
Came for the Pyrex tour, stayed for the kitty carrying on as if he'd never been petted, not once in his WHOLE life.
Bahaha he couldn’t handle it. That’s Johnny Cash. He’s my little shadow.
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor What a great co-star! (I have two house panthers and they also need to be the center of attention like that!)
Thanks for sharing your collection ,some of those dishes bring back childhood memories 💕 I was born in 1962 💕
Ahh I’m so happy to hear that! So sorry about your mother in law. It sounds like you have some lovely memories of her though.
Ahh yay! Sounds like you already have some good pieces to start!
Thanks for sharing with us! xoxox
Oh yay! Yeah the pink sets seem to be harder to find for sure. What fun memories of your grandmas. Thanks babe!
My sister collects vintage dishes. I really admire things of the past. I think that they are beautiful and better quality.
I love that Amish Butter refrigerator set. Gorgeous collection! New subscriber here! 🛎❤️👏🏽
That’s awesome!
Thanks for the info on the little glass fruit containers. I have the apple and inherited it from my mom along with several pieces of her old pyrex. I asked her about the apple and she told me it was a gift from a neighbor probably in the late 50s. This was very enjoyable and you have an amazing collection!
Oh that’s awesome! What a special piece. Thank you!!
Haha same!
@@Poppy- oh yes Shipping is outragious! 😳 I went to Ebay for Some and High too..I go to Amtique Shops around that i Can get better deals on them 😉
Oh nice! Love that pattern. Good luck on your search 😊
@@LaciFayTheVintageGirlNextDoor Thanks ! 🤗 and your Kitty so Sweet 🐱❣ I have 2 ☺
@@sharonc6505 I'm all into the turquoise stuff now lol so I found the 2cups anniversary cup in turquoise at Walmart.
Thanks so much babe! Yes I’ve been super lucky for sure. Ahh that’s ok! Keep looking 😊
Oh my goodness! I have the tea cups to the butterfly gold collection! They were my great grandmother Mary’s.
Oh nice! That’s awesome!
You showed "nesting bowls" in gold, mine were aqua and white - loved them!
Ooooouuuuhhhh, I click, I like before watching! 📺 I was just looking at Pyrex on Pinterest last night
I have bough last year? my first Pyrex (before I started being all vintage influenced) It's a transparent storage bowl with white butter print. Did you lookup your birth year pattern? I don't like mine lol. I have only Corelle dishes too, that have pretty collectable patterns.
Haha thank you! Oh yes I love to browse all the wonderful collections.
Very retro baby!!! Super nice collection. Golden grape awsome!! There is also pink butterprint. Super rare.☺☺☺
Thank you lovely! Glad you enjoyed 😊
Hello beautiful friend! Ahh thanks so much!! Good luck on starting your collection.
Oh shoot! Ahh I’m glad you enjoyed. Thank you!
First: You are adorable! Second: I am just getting started collecting Pyrex and this video was so helpful. Especially inspiring that you paid very little for most of your pieces. Thank you 😘
Turquoise is my favorite color. Love the turquiose pyrex!!
Mine too!
Great video! Love your collection! Love your kitty too 😊
Thank you!
Thanks so much, this was one of my top most hoped for videos ❤ My fav patterns are the balloons and snowflakes, but my fav flower is also tulips so adore that bowl. I am also wanting to collect the Fire King jade green bowls. Thanks, Laci!
Ahh yay! You’re welcome!
I’m watching this again after a few years, and wonder how your collection has grown . I just bought a complete Old Orchard Cinderella set at Goodwill today. Most of my sets were pieced. ❤
I literally own everything you showed before 5:00 , inherited from my late Mom who inherited them from my Grandmother lol , kinda funny !
Oh that’s awesome! Family pieces are so special!
I really really enjoyed this video and I don't even collect Pyrex!! Thank you so much and very informative too x
I’m so glad! Thank you!
