Hi-ya Steve! Thanks for showing us your collection! In first grade, (1963) my Dad bought me a lunchbox but I didn't like it. We went back to the store to exchange it and immediately I fell in LOVE with a nameless box with nuclear submarines on it. That box was stolen in 3rd grade and my Dad replaced it with the "Battle Kit". I still have the Battle Kit, (Every boy in my elementary wanted to check it out!), but I still longed for my cool submarine lunchbox so I eventually bought a vintage one on E-bay. For me, the best graphics were highly detailed and a kid could get lost gazing at the pictures. I still love the space themed ones like Fireball XL-5... Thanks again!
My mom always waited till the last minute to take us to buy lunch boxes. So, all the cool ones were usually gone. But I remember being really pleased when I was able to get that Gunsmoke lunchbox, some time in the early 1970s. The next year, or so, I had to settle for the Hee-Haw lunchbox. I got teased for that one a bit. But I proudly defended it. Even though I had wanted something cooler. In the third or fourth grade, it became cool to brown-bag it. So, lunchboxes were no longer part of my life. Though I must admit, I'd occasionally see them in the store, and wished I could still use them.
Fun fact... Supercar is not your only box that has a pic of the same box on it. On your dome Disney Bus box, Bambi is carrying the same dome lunchbox!! Thanks so much for sharing your incredible collection with us!!!!
Impressive! I collect lunch boxes also. I have close to 200 of them. Getting harder n harder to find, plus they are very expensive now. Love how you have them displayed.
Guess he didn't realize that sesame street lunchbox also has the characters holding the lunchbox too. I own it and that's why I like it even more as well
I’m a collector of lunch boxes. In 1985 a group of mothers went to the supreme Court and told them kids are fighting with them. The last Metal lunch box made in 1985 was Rambo.
I'm glad to see my 3 favorites there. Hot Wheels. Evel Knievel. The six million Dollar Man. I really miss my Hot Wheels one. I didn't see the one my sister had which was Snoopy.
Rambo is NOT the last one!! Just a myth.. few boxes came out in 86,even in 85 couple of designs came after it.. someone said it,everyone just repeat it..but hey great collection and even greater display!
Yeah I have seen some boxes with a 86 on them but I was under the impression that they may have been produced earlier but we just still in production after 85. Hey what do I know.
I had a smurf lunch box with Smurfette plastered right in the middle ('cause the person who got it for me thought I was a girl). It didn't come with a thermos, even though I'm pretty sure it was brand new, but that's probably just a cultural thing.
awesome collection. i came across this video and i needed a smile to escape from the modern day misery going on right now. As an 80s child, i had a few of those boxes. it was so good to see them again. i wish i still had all of them. i only have two, he-man and indiana jones.
Awesome collection !!
Outstanding collection. Not just the lunch boxes but also the furniture and toys.

You have the 1973 mattel vinyl sizzlers pit box ? Looks just like a lunch box but is a vehicle carry case. Has shelving insert in it.
I do not have that. I think it's more carry case than lunch box.
00.35 second mark; I had one of those Fred Flintstone mugs. Not the Pebbles one
How much do these sell for? I have the same Charlie’s angel lunchbox! That’s awesome !!
I have a speed buggy lunch box from the mid 70s

What best for getting rust off my lunchboxes?
Where’s the best place to sell a large vintage lunchbox collection? Through eBay or Live auctions or private auction house?
So we want to know what was your lunch box when you were growing up?
Mickey Mouse Bus!😀
