I worked for someone for a few years doing gas stations at night. Used a 22hp vanguard with cat pump and 100 ft. hose and a burner, the works. My co-worker caught a dui and instead of giving me some extra hours by picking up some of his route they had me driving him for a 1/4 of what i was getting payed. They took my hours. They took my job! I said screw it, did exactly what you said by renting a machine and started saving a bit and i just bought my first machine yesterday. Took me about 2 1/2 months to do it but i did it bro! It's a simpson as well. I saw your vid a long time ago and i always hoped to be able to come back and let you know that. Well, i did it. Thanks man.

What’s your thoughts on the Cat Pumps.. I’m in the market for a pressure washer. I want a good one but I’m on a budget. Really $1000 is more than I wanna spend but it seems like a good 4000 psi ish 4.0 GPM runs about $1200 with a Honda motor. I saw a Dewalt on homedepot site for $899 4000 psi, 3.5 GPM and Cat pump. That has my eye. It’s a GX200 Honda I think. I’m thinking I’m paying for the pump. Next jump up is $1200+

I started just as a fluke with the USPS cleaning their vehicles and another post office wanted me then another then another and it got to be too much. I was a PTF carrier and didn't have dedicated routes so I had a lot of down time. Ended up having 8 post offices with a total of 23 vehicles. One of the post masters asked if I did windows and I said sure. Did the windows the entrance and sidewalks to the PO and got more people wanting their driveways, homes, house trailers, RV's, rooves ect. I was making 3x the money as most of the postmasters. It's good easy work. Enjoyed your videos.

I am 29 and a few of paychecks to get a different vehicle, buy the stuff, get some customers, and I could leave my current job and comfortably support myself doing this. I’m 100% doing this once I get all the stuff.
The best part of doing this is more than the money. For me it’s being my own boss, owning my own life, working to my own standards, and the freedom it brings. This is literally a way out of the rat race for me. It’s still work but it’s your own.
All of you guys I’ve watched on TH-cam that do pressure washing are awesome. Every single one of you are humble, extremely helpful, and wanting others to get out of the traditional idea of work. It’s literally constant advice, tips, and life changing information.
    Thank you!

Hey Aaron, I just got started in my business... I actually got started because I bought a pressure washer to help out my dad to clean his house, I enjoyed it and went around knocking on people’s doors to see if they would like me to pressure wash their house, I actually got a couple of them to say yes... right at the moment I’m using a troybilt 3000 psi 2.5 gpm it does take a while to get things done but I enjoyed it, and now that I recently bought your course I got a better insight on what I’m lacking and how I can do better. I just recently applied to my business legal and got insurance, I’m working on a logo so that I can contact your team and have me a website build up, hopefully I can catch up to you in the future... thank you for all the effort that was put into that course man, I truly appreciate it!

Hi Aaron, here in New Zealand they mandated masks at work a couple of weeks ago so I walked out on the day with a couple of grand in my bank and an old Honda Odyssey. I started to research handyman work and was just putting off spending my dollars on tools because I wasn't sure if it was really what I wanted to do. Then I started seeing videos for pressure washing, known here in NZ as water blasting. Didn't take long for me to realise this is a much better business for me. 4gpm machines are out of my budget at the moment but I snagged a nice 2.8gpm washer, a surface cleaner and a couple of hoses. I'm not bad at building websites so I've put one together over the last few days and just setting up automated booking and payments before I begin a FB ad campaign to generate leads. People will be able to click the ads then book and pay for their driveway and soft washing jobs online, so I won't have to give quotes or chase up after payments etc.
Anyway, I totally agree with the point you make about pricing high. People want the services we provide, and we can only give them quality work when they pay for the resources to allow us to achieve that. Thanks for the video and peace from NZ.

I have a 20 year old Power Ease 3gpm 3200 psi washer with a 160 cc Honda engine and have made unreal amounts of $ with it just in the past two months. started with a 25 Ft. 3/8 hose and wand, tips that came with the machine and a garden hose and am currently doing driveways, walkways and patios. I can make $700-$1000 a day easy. just bought a cheap Ryobi 15" surface washer and 50ft 3/8" Dewalt hose(which I hate BTW) and it has cut washing times by 35% or more for the same price. I'm amazed the money to be made. That being said, I've decided to get licensed because it's good money and great work. These videos and others have been soooo helpful for me to push forward and pursue this as my future source of income as I left my full time as a diesel mechanic last year. I thought mowing and trimming paid well last summer but its no comparison. Thank you for the videos. It has changed my life. I very much appreciate those willing to pass on their knowledge to others. I started out with a 3300 psi 2.5gpm Westinghouse washer,a 100' commercial hose,a garden sprayer and a fold up 16' extension ladder.Ive paid for my equipment 5× over now and I put 25% of what I make back into the buisness.I like the x jet cause alot of factory downstream are finicky at best. The more gpm the faster u do jobs, but like u said you can do it with a 3-5gpm machine and make money..The hardest thing is getting reviews,i get compliments, tips etc but people dont wanna take a minute to give a review..I pray I make my buisness successful like you have!!It comes down to CARE ABOUT YOUR WORK,be professional imo...Thx for the info!!!

I’m gonna pull the trigger on this pressure washing business. Right now I run a truck for R&L carriers, it’s not a bad job but I’m just tired of working for others. I’m gonna start on the side to make some extra cash and hone in on my skills so I could succeed because I know there’s a lot of money to be made and I’m ready to work for myself, make my own hours, and just enjoy life more. This video helped a lot!

I’m about to start a pressure washing business here in Nashville and Rutherford co. Well I’ve.done a couple of wood fences & decks. What I found out that is better money and a lot easier than what I’ve been. I’ve got a handyman service and I build decks and fencing and there just way too much stuff involved in this. Then I seen one of your videos I’m up to 4 or 5 of your videos and just seen that you live in Nashville too. I am where you were when you first started broke and of last night living in my car. I’m going to watch a lot more of your videos. Because this is something I could see myself doing and I am not lazy I put in the grind. Wanted to say thanks for all of the good tips and hopefully one day we will be able to meet and maybe get a lot more pointers from you. Thanks for all you do. Devin Farlow

Hey Aaron, I recently saw a video of another guy washing and I've always thought it was the most satisfying thing to see so much dirt and grime just be blasted off. The comments were talking about how this is a good business to start making some smart investments in. This video is literally the first video I have watched on getting started. I'm excited to see where this goes and know that I have to make this work. I have two boys I'd like to give the world to and I simply can't do that working my regular 9-5. I do have some hurdles to get over financially I'm not in a good spot. My father recently passed, its important for me to make the best out of my situations and get ahead in life. I'd appreciate any advice you can give me so I can make my moves.

Let your boys watch daddy win. This time is a chrysalis for you, I know those well. Look at your sons and make the call and welcome the burden as a gift of growth. It’s time to win. You have ultimate motivation in them, not for what the $ will do for them, but what kind of men are you creating? Will they be courageous or cowards in life? They’re watching you dad. Aim small miss small.

The estimate in my city for a driveway is $75-$175 for professional services. I had to take some account for the coronavirus decreasing the demand for clean driveways + I am in no way a professional (looking to start in 2 days). My base price right now is $100 for driveway, walkway, and sidewalk, and assuming that a project like that would take 1-1.5hrs that’s a pretty good investment. Commiefornia residents read this:
"If you want to run a pressure-washing business in California, you must get a license through the Contractors State License Board. To qualify for the license, you must be at least 18 years old and have four years of journeyman experience. Other states may require that you post a bond to get a license to operate."
"Is anyone exempt from the requirement to have a contractor license?
Yes. Here are some of the exemptions:
Work on a project where the combined cost (labor and materials, whether purchased by the contractor or the consumer) is less than $500. A project cannot be divided into smaller pieces or billed by the hour to get around the $500 limit (B&P Code §7028)"
