Those CB - F series bikes were gorgeous things back in the day and have stood the test of time well. I had a 900 for a while - well until she threw a leg out of bed on nr.2. A real fun ride. Tidy her up, 4 into 1, flatter 'bars, and find a seat better than that hideous pillow. Top work all 'round Seth.
Great projects! You have some really cool bikes! Its awesome how you got that F running. I hope you can continue that one until done and looking good. Good luck on all of them!!!
I owned one for approx. a year hell of a comfortable bike but veeery difficult to make it rideable due to the fact that the charging systems of the 750 ~ 1100 C and F series was poorly engineered from the beginning due to the small encasing of the stator which raises the temperature and the corresponding resistance and the centrifugal forces which leads to frequents short circuit. Once the original stator is shot if not capable of finding another original one or a good quality one (like Rick’s) it’s almost impossible to ride it for a long period of time and the battery will always be undervoltage (Sorry for my bad English, not a native speaker, greetings from Italy 🇮🇹)
