- Honda CX500 Revival - Making it Roadworthy! In the last episode I got the bike running after doing a bit of work and all seemed hopeful for getting this put back together and able to go down the road. Well, it took a lot more work than expected as there were a few unexpected issues that I had to work through in order to do so. This video is really great in showing those problems and how to work through them to get to your goals.
In this video:
- Swap the original single piston brake caliper to a dual piston as well as show how to rebuild it.
- Swap the handlebars for a nice set of Triumph bends.
- Showcase a very effective polishing method using oven cleaner and steel wool.
- Sync the carbs and adjust the mixture screws
- Install the factory H-box and exhaust
- Use my ultrasonic cleaner on multiple items
- Diagnose the turn signals and taillight not working
- Try a new caliper piston removal method
- Work through a strange series of issues getting the bike running smoothly.

TH-camr Mustie1 always says "We do it right, because we do it twice!" Hey stuff happens. Thank you for showing your struggles. Learning experiences.
I usually say "do it right or do it twice" same thing with purchasing
@@BrickHouseBuilds To gain experiance, we all make mistake, nothing wrong in that, problem is, if you don`t learn from them and do the same mistake twice (not saying you made any or could have done much different)
I do it nice if I do it twice
These were from the 1980'3 like me, Those Honda Carbs are more reliable and solid than the ones with the rubber diaphragms., overall looking at the way they made these, OMG the size of the generator is massive, I can see why these are a classic.
Good bikes indeed. I do like the Kehin CV carbs compared to some other options.
Loved this one. The struggles were real, but the satisfaction of your tenacity is tangible. Great job.
Well thank you! Glad you enjoyed
I used my bike everyday for work and in minus temps I used to pull the choke leaver out the night before otherwise it would freeze and you couldn't start the bike very well early next day , leaving it out it would turn it self off as the bike got warm..Mike UK
Dude. I REALLY appreciate you putting in all the little tips and tricks and mistakes specifically for a cx500. My 80 deluxe is my very first bike, and first venture into restoring anything. So having these little tidbits of wisdom are incredibly valuable to me. I'm going to rewatch this tomorrow and do a once over on my bike to make sure it doesn't have the little oddities yours did, especially the clutch cable engine attachment point, mine probably has sandwiched bolts on there.
Thats exactly why I wanted to share it. A lot of this little stuff can get looked over
Tip for that slider being tricky. put only one seal in, push through from the side that doesnt have a seal, go past the point where the outer ring goes into its grove and comes back out again until you can put the other seal in, then push it back - simple, works every time with no fiddling
Those crash bars look great. Seeing parts cleaned up and go back together is so satisfying. Thank you for the content.
Glad you enjoyed! I like the cleaning process
You know what? Usually the blooper and the BTS (not the boyband) video are paywalled to other platform, but here, we can watch EVERYTHING from engine build, carbs works, wiring harness, metal fab, seat building into a complete motorcycle one, on TH-cam.
I'm YT Premium Subs btw, so I already support my tiny parts financially on every channel I followed here.
TH-cam is definitely a great platform to get information
@@BrickHouseBuilds and definitely for the entertainment, I quit all my cable TV subscription, turned off my free-to-air digital TV and switch to on-demand/over the top services like YT, Netflix, and Disney+
For some reason CX's attracted the worst form of owner maintenance, the cheap kind. I've seen many good bikes trashed by own maintenance owners efforts brough to the shop as a last resort so It's nice to see someone taking time to sort one out properly. I always thought they were a handsome looking thing and a good one is a pleasant ride.
Having owned many a bike I can say this is not limited to CX500s but this bike definitely had its issues to say the least. A word to describe this thing would be charming. I have greatly enjoyed riding it!
@@BrickHouseBuilds As they say locally here "Keep er between the hedges" (meaning good luck and happy cycling)
I have missed your channel for while, but your garage is now spacious and beautiful. Congratulations on your move! I look forward to seeing new restoration videos.
Thank you! If you can maybe check out a few past videos to get caught up on everything I've been doing
The fun of working on a used bike! Is it supposed to be that way or did someone not put something back together correctly! You did a great job of highlighting that issue for your viewers.
Loved that look!
41 years ago, I was riding my CB400T Hawk in Washington (State) coming home just after midnight, and the pull cable snapped. Because of the push-pull dual set up, I was able to undo the broken cable and swap over to the pull side from the push side at the carb rack and get back to Canada. Being at the side of the road in the dark with no flash light meant I had to do everything by feel, using the bike's stock tool kit. It was..."interesting" to have to relearn years of muscle memory and turn the throttle forward instead of backward and vice versa, but I still made it home lol.
You make a hugely valid point on reason to keep both cables. That was an actual life saver in that moment. Doing it by feel in the dark would not be fun!
This was a great video to watch - and to see you working in the new shop was really cool. Amber - WHOOT WHOOT!!! Good job BJ!
Thanks Mike! It's been fun learning how the new space flows work wise
Good stuff man! Love your videos! I learn a lot from you and it gives me confidence when I need to dig into my 79 custom! Congrats on the new shop.
Thank ya! Happy the videos are helpful! Just one piece at a time and your 79 will be on the road in no time!
Loved seeing these videos of the revival. I had a CX500 back in 1995, and although I loved it, it wasn't in good shape and I did not have the knowledge at the time (or now) to fix it properly. I guess it remains in my mind as one of those nostalgic moments. It was my second motorcycle. Nowadays I have a 2003 Shadow Ace 750, and I'm trying to get myself into the mood to do some work to it: rejetting, changing the air breather, changing the sprockets and chain and the handlebar.
I like this format and length of video, more of that please.
Glad you enjoyed. Longer videos are a gamble but I feel if I can keep them packed with info they will do well
Thanks for the content and tips! You’re an inspiration, my man. 🤝
My pleasure and hopefully you find them helpful!
Nice piece with great problem solving philosophy.
Glad you enjoyed!
You had me crackin up with this one 😂
NOT expecting the Kitten Confessional. Also I appreciate you showing us dropping the gas can because I was NOT brave enough to show my own gas splash I caught on camera.
I was feeling a combination of caffeine and inspiration for thr confession lol. For real I have never had a spout come off. It was very surprising in that moment
Glad to see that the shop is coming together. I have 2 CX500's back here in Illinois I need to bring back to life. I would love to come down and see the shop sometime.
Great to see you working in your new shed which is making an old man jealous. My favourite old school ride is the cx500, though I'm a brit and not keen on the custom version. Had 6 in my time and am working on my wife who doesn't want me to have another bike. 64 now. Wife 21 years younger. She probably thinks I'll break myself. Good to see you back. Best of fortune in your new shed 👍
Keep at her and she may come around! Show her the end of this video!
That's a really cool trick getting the pistons out of the caliper. I'll have to save that for a later date. Been in a bit of a slump on my bikes but your videos always give me motivation.
It works really well so definitely give it a try. Be prepared for the mess though lol
Nice job taking things one step at the time. That bike has many fun miles in it to go. RIDE SAFE OUT THERE B.J.!
I've put a bunch on already and it's such a nice cruiser. Been having fun
Just want to thank you for all your videos. I’ll be buying a project bike soon, first time ever working on a motorcycle and I am excited for the challenge.
Well thank ya! My best advice is to buy a service manual and digital multimeter as those two tools will help you more than anything else. Definitely be excited for it but also expect frustrating moments as thats all part of it. Very rewarding when you get to go for that first ride though!
Excellent! Real nice episode. Dig the Krate up top too. 👍
Thank ya! The Krate is the best wheelie machine ever
You are an awesome mechanic, love your videos
I appreciate that and am happy you enjoy the videos!
Nice bike BJ you done a cracking job on it and we wouldn’t be human if we didn’t make mistakes but we learn from them which is always a plus great video buddy take care and all the best . ,ps the shop looks mint 👍👌🔧🔧🔧🦴🐾❤️🏍️🏍️
Thank ya much!
These bikes were used extensively in Europe as courier bikes due to reliability and longevity. Typically 350,000 miles or more with only an 8.00 dollar seal replacement. Due to regular maintenance.
Yes indeed
What I relief!!! I thought I was the only one who mixed my cleaning solutions that way...hahaha!! I use simple green HD also and definitely helps reduce discoloration on aluminum and magnesium (carbs castings). Awesome content...thanks.
Always enjoy your tips and tricks. I'm building a '96 Yamaha Virago bobber. I found it in some guys back yard for $400. Thanks and keep them coming.
That will be a fun build! Glad you enjoy the videos
I always love watching stuff getting restored/fixed, it's too bad I'm too broke to try it for myself.
I have finally decided I wanna go for a GL1100 standard to screw with. :p
I'd like to correct myself, I now understand that I'm better off going for a CB 900 F2, if I can find one ofc.
I'm in love with the design too. Lol
Edit: The one with plastic panels on the front.
I agree it don’t matter how many times you do these things it doesn’t take much to make things seem worse than it really is, love the new shop and the bikes you choose good old reliable stuff 👍
Sometimes you just look for bigger problems than what is actually there. I can get ahead of myself sometimes
It's one of my favorite things ever. fussing with those square cut seals and grungy grooves. getting it back together and HISSSSSSSSSSSSS as the fluid comes squirting out.
Great video as always
Much appreciated!
Never seen a bad video of yours! Thank you, Thank you, Thank you! Don't change anything...
🙏🙏
Nice work mate !
It's through our mistakes that we learn how not to do something !
Exactly!
The circle of trust has been broken. You are now in my rhombus of doubt.
Fun episode!
🤣🤣 I deserve it
My first new bike was a 79 or an 80 cx 500 I loved that bike in red so that one is kind of special great job kid
Another great @brickhousebuilds production!
Many thanks!
Exactly the sort of things I have been through with my old '81 CX500 carries and all the rest of it, but you advice is good - just persevere, walk away from it for a few days and come back afresh.
Sometimes a break from the project is greatly needed
Jolly good show!
Thank ya
I have the same Carburetor Synchronizer gauges. Every time I use them I laugh because they look like they came from the old Batman TV series 😁.
The combination of your personality and work methods, in combo with some superb editing, makes these videos engaging to watch. Many videos of mechanical work are tedious to watch but not yours. Good job!
Well thank you very much!
Real nice, that is a nice-looking bike. As for lessons from mistakes, they seem to stick the best.
Thank ya
Check your batteries on that multimeter, I had an older one that would turn on fine and would need to be switched back and forth before it would work. After I put in a new 9V it cleared right up.
Yeah this one goes through batteries quickly. I've had it for probably 17 years now
I always insert an old Pad when compressing pistons back in.. i did it this way and 1 time the back of the piston just busted off .. Never thought would do that.. Great work as always!
That would be frustrating!
Great job!
Much appreciated!
I found an 81 Yamaha Exciter SR185. $160 needed intake boot and carb clean. Had intermittent TCI/Spark issue that has ya chasing Carb issues as well.. But new ignitech TCI for it brought it back to life and got the wife learning how to ride it as well..
Very nice!
Great idea using grease gun to loosen/pump out the brake pistons. Tks. It's sometimes used to loosen stuck engine pistons as well
I think I've seen that too. May have to try it
Man I love your cx videos I was surprised it wasn't a twin disc bike
Thank ya! The only twin disc varieties I've seen here are the GL500 and 650
@@BrickHouseBuilds thanks for the reply I had 2 cx500 c 1981/1982 both had twin discs I am in Ireland cx fan
Nice video. Thank you for sharing it!
Thank ya!
ok, so I'll bring a lot of metric stuff when you hire me ;)
good job, man!
Bring it!
Nice confessional haha, loving the content, wish I could make it to your open shop, sadly, I live in Cali and currently recovering from surgery on my left hand :[
Thank ya! It's all good you have to take care of yourself first
New Shop is lit.
Thank ya! You should see the lighting video I did! 😉
No better way to learn than through mistakes and problems to solve.
Thats how we learn
Great video 👍🤙🤙
Thank ya
Nice work
Thank you!
Suggestion for next time connecting up h box to headers, secure h box loosely so it's easier to connect headers to engine and h box then fully tighten h box
I have never had problems like that....Today.😁
And here’s me thinking this stuff only happened to me. Enjoyed the video and the bike has turned out great. I use a spray can of Lanolin on my car and bikes. Protects and makes new and faded plastics, rubber, etc look great and doesn’t leave a oily film. Worth trying.
I'll check that out thanks
Enjoyed the video
Glad you enjoyed!
I just got done getting a '80 CX500 Custom running and roadworthy today. I'm going to ride it to college tomorrow and see how it goes!
Thats awesome!
I use an old camera tripod for my auxiliary fuel tank as well. Works great.
We work with what we have! Ronal Finger uses a medical IV bag stand and I want one lol
I would have liked to turn mine into a go-cart! I bought it new and loved it.
These engines would make a fun go cart for sure
bought on new in 77. great bike. i just remember the front end being too soft. bo
ttomed out when braking.
That is the air assist suspension. I'm working on a video showing how to delete that actually
The video quality was fine even with the extra light coming in through your wonderful front windows.
Glad you enjoyed!
Fantastic...!
Thank ya!
Thank You ! 👍👍👍
🤘🤘
Entertaining video. I'll stick to using my airline to release the brake pistons as the grease method just wastes too much grease for my liking. 😕
My first European bike tour was me + girlfriend on my XS750 and my mate + girlfriend on his CX500 in 1979. After around a 1000 miles we all noticed his rear drive hub making a scraping noise. After another 1000 miles all drive to the rear wheel was gone as the splines were completely ground away and we were still 1400 miles from our home in the UK. Those were the days!
Sometimes air just can't do it but I definitely hear ya on using a ton of grease
Great video... looking to get up to the Grand Opening/ Open House
Thank ya! Hope you make here on the 30th!
Great rework on cx500 never copped the metric bolt or the balancing of the carbs but the petrol has to be for mention
I'm sorry I don't understand what you mean
@BrickHouseBuilds apologies it my irish language I'm meant the 2stroke petrol
@gerry3454 well the red tint to the fuel is not from oil. It was regular pump gas that I believe went bad while in the jug
about the choke. when you turn the rubber Knob, you can manage the friction of the choke
clockwise= more friction
counterclockwise less friction
Correct, this one is worn and there is no tension left unfortunately
Good catch on the double washers👍🏻, was that pre-mix (red) fuel in the bottle first time? Keep up the videos love them👏🏻🇮🇪
Yeah Im glad I eventually noticed it. The fuel was not supposed to be red. It was also cloudy and I believe it gained its color from the fuel jug. Ive never had that happen but can't confirm it was high quality fuel.
I didn't have throttle stick, but I did have my pull cable snap from rust and when I went to replace it, the push cable snapped from rust too hahaha good thing I planned on replacing both anyways
Dang how that still operated while rusty is impressive
@@BrickHouseBuilds it snapped right at the ball end, I had just bought the bike and it had been sitting for awhile, it looked like dirt/ grime until it gave up, just glad it was right outside my garage when it happened
If you speed this video up and play the Benny Hill theme song over it, it is perfection.
Bike is looking good, well done!
It was awesome to watch you party through the issues on this thing and get it running smooth. Total high five
Thanks man!
Haha!
Nice to see you are doing mistakes too! 😜👍
It helps, not to feel that bad with my own mistakes!
Thanks for sharing!
Of course! I always try to show the mistakes as they are just a way to learn and educate at the same time
You are killin me! 😆. Just five seconds and I am laughing out loud! (I spent six days a week at a Catholic mass service till I was out of mmmm eighth grade. A public school was a different world for me.). So you say: Forgive me father for I have sinned? O.M.G. I cannot stop laughing. (Forgive me). I just say "I am not worthy" ~ often. So. The more videos I watch (Time in Class) the more doable and sort of comfortable I am with the container find from West Virginia. No key yet tho. Thanks so much for sharing all that you do! 〰✨〰
Hahaha glad you got a kick out of that part
All gold BJ. Sorry to bother you with my details. (I do have the key code for the locksmith on Monday morning. I have taken your approach to be persistent. It did take Dumbledore's wand tho.) Thank you again. @@BrickHouseBuilds
You are forgiven just say (4) 10mm X1,5mm and 17mm wrench🤣😅 Nice Video, I think those crash bars look fine.
😅😅 I was worried I'd be exiled!
I have a 1980 CX500D, owned since new! I recently went thru everything and it’s running great. I’d like to refinish the clutch cover, valve covers, and lower front forks as they have light to moderate corrosion. Your thoughts on how to do this?
Id strip the paint and either refinish with new paint or go further with a polish or powdercoat
Think having both a push and pull cable is a US requirement but they are not universal in other markets (eg, my friends FZR400 we were recently working on only has a single throttle cable). On CV carbs probably a non issue. On some slide carbs it can be more of an issue, with intake vacuum at high revs pulling the slides hard enough against the carb body that they stick.
Now you have the new workshop you have space to store a good supply of metric nuts and bolts ordered in bulk. Fortuntely in the UK metric stuff is easy to get (but for imperial bolts we had lots of standards, Whitworth, BSF, BA, etc).
Master cylinder looks similar to early CBR1000F, so maybe from a Honda from around 1990 onwards 0 CBR600F2 looks very similar with an adjustable lever and a 1/2" bore. A year or 2 ago I fitted a spare 11mm bore Brembo master cylinder to my Aprilia AF1 Sintesi (single disk with a 4 piston caliper). Popped to my local bike meet (~8 miles each way). Brakes were VERY sharp - to the extent I would probably have locked the wheel and fallen off before I realised what had happened if I had to brake in an hurry. I swapped the master cylinder off again as soon as I got home. Opposite problem with a Bimota which used Brembo calipers with a Yamaha master cylinder - ratio was out and the brakes were very dead feeling (fixed with a master cylinder from an Aprilia Falco 1000).
For hardware I rarely need the same thing twice so stocking a ton of generic metric stuff doesn't appeal to me. This specific bolt was just really long so just outside of what was stocked in metric.
@@BrickHouseBuilds I tend to quite often need quite a few of the same size. But UK based, and corrosion probably more of an issue.
Cool bike, my ride is the Honda cb 500s 16k miles 2002 black mint condition .
Very reliable bikes Honda.
Menuda currada ,gran trabajo
Thank you!
I remember in the 80s that most of my problems were with the water punp leaking or charging faults if i had a motorcycle with so little corrosion as you americans do I would have been in heaven
Awesome! What is the blue spray that was used to clean the engine ?
Thats a basic mix of water and dawn dish soap. The purple is a water/degreaser mix
Let's Go!!!!
🤘🤘
The reason that the choke pull is too slack allowing the cable to snap back is either the screw cap under the rubber cap on the choke pull is loose, or the components are worn, if the components are worn undo the screw cap completely, cut a couple of fine slivers of plastic from a yoghurt carton or similar, about 1.5mm wide and 10mm long, with the screw cap out of the way slide the slivers between the metal pull shaft and the plastic body it slides into, effectively your making the pull shaft thicker, bend the last 2mm of the slivers at 90 degrees so they can’t disappear completely down into the plastic body, tighten the screw cap back on and it should work as new.
PS I’m starting my own motorcycle TH-cam channel, the day I can talk to camera as naturally as you do I’ll be happy, jeez it’s hard to sound normal 😂😂
I was hoping someone would have a diy solution for that! I've been thinking about some form of ahldhesive or just roughing up the shaft surface. I'll have to try what you said!
For the camera just talk to it like it's a person. Literally give it a name. It of course takes practice but that's how it works!
@@BrickHouseBuilds I am improving, but I find it hard to stop myself sounding like a TV presenter on acid ! 😂
You’ll find you need to mess around with different width slivers but once you’ve got it right it works well, I just did it on my Gen 1 Fireblade 👍
The montage of cat memes had me rollin, dude 😂😂
My front master cylinder won't like decompress when it's cold, it grinds down the brake shoes and makes the disc rotor get hot. Once everything gets hot then it will kind of release and work fine. Really wore out my new brake shoes I just put on it though. I'm thinking maybe some PB blaster from the outside into the pistons maybe once I take it off again and take the brake shoes out. Don't know how to reduce the gumminess, couldn't take the pistons out, and can't find a whole unit to buy to replace it. Replaced everything else in the front brake system though.
The pistons are likely a bit bound up. A caliper rebuild may be the best route. Between compressed air, hydraulic pressure, or grease gun you should be able to press the pistons out to rebuild
In my 1982 magna 750,....with a battery in it,... it does nothing,...I can't find power anywhere?
Great video.
Unfortunately I am not a wizard and can't know what's wrong with your Magna from here but I can provide a helpful video that walks you through how to think through and electrical issue. Lots of great information in this one. th-cam.com/video/9z5FfETuay8/w-d-xo.html
@@BrickHouseBuilds THE GUY SAID IT RAN NEEDED A BATTERY? Then nothing,....still need to look in the cylinders,... no spark plug's in it. Then I'll see what I need to do after that.
I got a new starter relay but the wires look like their for a 100 cc bike. (thin I'll count the wires)
and I bought another throttle grip control because the kill switch had no resistance, it was a rattle.
I thought the kill switch might be breaking the circuit?
I put high handle bars on my KZ550 10''.
I lengthened my wire's but,....how do you measure the clutch cable and throttle cable for size,.....that's the hold up on that bike.
Are you measuring the cable or casing?
On my VT 500 The front forks are bent,...or the triple tree's.
What would be the best place to source parts for that?
And yes your video's are inspiring.
But every situation and bike is different.
Like I can't find the right sight window for the master cylinder on the magna.
@LETME-kl9jg I think you missed the message of the video I sent. It is to show a way of thinking and not about just fixing a headlight. I even stress how you should avoid asking questions on Facebook because you get terrible answers. Google is your friend to help you read about your issues. Stop buying parts and buy a service manual and multimeter if you don't have one. Diag before buying parts.
My days first bike was a CX500. I wish I had one 😔 Either that or his last bike, which was a CB1000 Custom
That cb1000 would be fantastic
Well Rover used to build cars and bolt them together with both metric and Imperial and look what happened to them. Let that be a lesson for you
Hahaha noted!
Hi there. I have a question recently I bought 2 cx 500 c Honda. the reason is to make one from two engines. I started by repairing everything before restoring everything.
Now I am working on the engine and have discovered that there is water in the oil, what could be causing this problem?
I have already learned a lot from your videos on TH-cam.
Big fan ;-)
That is either a head gasket or leaking water pump mechanical seal. Be sure to clear out the weep hole of debris to see if it's blocked. That would cause coolant to go in the oil if the mechanical seal is bad.
Another question: The oven cleaner is brilliant. So I am a Rust~Oleum person. This year I've got a gallon of CORROSEAL mostly for my 95 Ford Ranger but here we are with a 95 Nighthawk, Wow I'm just getting that 95 was a very good year for me. Anyway. My pipes look "OK" but there is a "good amount" of rust underneath. Maybe the oven cleaner is the best move to start with? Ok Ok now I'll continue with Class. Sorry to interrupt. 〰✨〰
When you put your brake master cyl in the ultra sonic tank i did not see you remove the cylinder piston assembly with the rubber seals. Water degreaser and detergent on those old seals will turn them into paste..
In the last 6 years I've yet to experience any paste you speak of. I normally clean seals and such in the tank and bring them back to life.
That's a matter of opinion. When you compressed the lever after you took it out of the sonic tank a bit of sludge blew out . If you took out the piston assembly i take my words back. But in truth anytime you hot tank a braking componet you must completley disassemble it remove all rubber seals pistons etc . This is not my opinion but from people that do this as a service. The old seals should be discarded . Rebuild kits are availiable for this make master cyl. I have been in the industry for over45 years this is just common knowledge.
Mate, im sure its been asked a million times - but what did u use to clean the exhausts?
I actually showed that in this video
카브레이터 아이들 연료 흡입 부분이랑 주행 연료 흡입량에 대한 동 으로 구성된 구멍 구멍 게이지로 청소해주셔야합니다.
I am very well aware of how they work. I do not feel they need to be cleaned
Does the Easy Off work for cleaning chrome exhaust pipes? Also, sometime I would like to hear an explanation of "Vapor Honing".
Yes it works great on any chrome. Vapor honing or vapor blasting is a water based process similar in premise to sand blasting. A fine grit is mixed with water to make a slurry that is pressurized and shot at a part to provide a great surface finish
Thank you!@@BrickHouseBuilds
That spring that goes in between the two carbs, how necessary is that? Lost mine a while ago, but can’t seem to find a replacement
I cant say how necessary it is but I'd want it there. I'd say a 10mm diameter spring that is medium pressure would work. I'm sure you can find something
That was a long one! What about that dry cracked right carb intake boot? No issues there?
That could absolutely be causing a small air leak but for now it runs well. I do plan to investigate that soon though
Right on man, and yes the struggle is real working on these old bikes! @@BrickHouseBuilds
Would you be able to give me some advice on how to fix my CX? Just bought a 67 CX 500 “Deluxe”. I’m no mechanic by any means but I think my left carburetor is getting either too much gas, or something else in them is messed up. She started pissin gas and all of a sudden stopped. I’m open to suggestions on what might be the problem.
Well I think this video as well as the first diag video of this bike will give you a ton of information to start with. I cover lots of carburetor stuff
