I have a 40 story. My Mom died at 39. So when I turned 40, my husband sent a cemetery wreath of black roses to my work place that said Happy Birthday. If that wasn't enough, when I brought it home, I placed it on my porch. HIS mother drove by and almost had a heart attack. We had a lot of laughs over those black flowers. I will be 80 in July.
Yesterday was my 79th birthday. Whew, how did I get this old so quick?! We got 3-4 inches of snow yesterday, so happy birthday to me. My poor tulips and daffodils are now under a bed of white.
I love watching y'all I am at home all the time now I had cancer a year and a half ago just turned 66 on March 19 God is good and I'm still here say a prayer for my daughter she works really hard to take care of us it's hard for me after working all my life
Had cataract surgery 2023 and Oh my goodness it improved my eyes greatly. I didn’t even know that it was a problem but afterwards everything was so bright and beautiful 🙌🏻
Brooke, I have a wool poncho I've had since 1969. I wear it every winter and always get compliments. It's so warm and comfortable and goes through all my weight changes.

We went to lunch so to pay them back I wore that bib!

I'm with you, Brooke, mowing is my therapy. I'm 73 this year, and Arthur has made an appearance, and I can't do all the trimming, mowing the ditch, and weeding like I used to. I'm really looking for someone to do the trimming, etc, and I'll mow.
About grass growing...... My mother passed 8 year's ago. The top of her grave was chert. Grass will not grow on chert so I put 2 bags of top soil and 1 bag of compost. I began to grow in very good. A few weeks later my brother put some compost on it. It was lust in no time. From what I see you have plenty of compost ..........love your show. Watch it every time your on. Today it's cold and it's been on all morning. Moody is my favorite l think bc we raised them when I was young. I made pets of everyone. Chicken's too. I'm just next door in south Shelby Co. Well, I feel 73. The last 10 years has been something else! But, Life is Good!!! My thirteen year old avocado tree has blooms all over it...for the first time. I thought it would never bloom. Spring is a wonderful time of year.
Speaking of fertilizing grass…years ago I had a neighbor who had the HEALTHIEST GREEN grass in the neighborhood. One day while he was out in his yard I asked him how he always kept his grass looking sooooo beautiful. He said all he did was fertilize it once a month with Scott’s Weed n’ Feed. Well I started doing that and I too, along with him, had the HEALTHIEST GREEN grass in the neighborhood!!! ❤️🏠❤️

I had a male Eclectus Vosmeari Parrot, and he was always making crop milk for me. He was trying to feed me all the time. If I fell asleep on the couch he would pack it in my ear, or nose and even in between my fingers. I would wake up and feel all this dried up goop everywhere. I loved that crazy boy.

Enjoy the spring weather. It started snowing here in Amsterdam, NY last night and finally quit around 7:00 tonight. We ended up with roughly 12 inches of snow. My chihuahua looked out the door and turned around and got under a blanket.
I'm like you, I have cut outs of recipes in note keepers. My husband with hid OCD has taken them and typed out all of them and put them in clear sleeves in binders! 😂😂😂 It makes it easier to find a recipe so I say go honey!😂😂😂🤗

We have groups of chickens everywhere any road you drive down in our development which is 11,000 acres there are mama daddy and baby chickens Roman all over we also which is very exciting have turkeys they're not like your tom they're taller and I love seeing the turkeys and these chickens look just like our regular chickens they're pretty The roosters are big and and they certainly do multiply aloha from Hawaii

European pears do better after a cold spell Jason. Mine is in full bloom here in the UK and we are still quite cold. The rain has been really cold and we have had weeks of it, but the pear and plum are smothered in blooms. Just waiting for the cherry now, but mine is a bit later. All the wild cherries round here are in full bloom.
