Thank you for uploading! This is the version of the chocolate world tour I remember as a kid. It felt as if you were traveling through an actual factory! It's a shame how they've dumbed it down over the years... it's more about entertainment now and less about education!
Shoutout to the barn kitty at 3:33 . He has moved around a few times during the renovations, but 20 years later he is still in the ride! I always love saying hi to this little guy (in 2024 he is in the window above the entrance to the first show scene). I came here looking for a clip of that almond tree section I remembered. Thank you for posting this!
Truth, back then they were called video camcorders. They rested on your shoulder, had a black and white viewfinder, and when you got home you hoped what you shot was framed correctly on the saved videotape. Then you usually had to pay for someone to transfer the analog video tape to a digital file format.
I love this version of the tour. I remember being on this version back in the early 2000s when I used to go to Hershey Pennsylvania every year. The Hershey’s Chocolate World song at the end is my favorite version of the song.
I do like the singing cows, but I also like the Dioramas. I went to Hershey in 2003 or 2004, The final year of the Giant/Double Wheel, my second favorite ride at Hershey, of all time, the first being Grand Canyon River Rapids. The one with the Bronze Medal, Lightning Racer, the only one of these 3 still at the park. 4th Favorite, would go to Sky Rush than Storm Runner in 5th,

I grew up in the Hershey area, and we used to go all the time. The memories this video brought back hit me so hard it made me cry. Thank you

Amazing to hear he's survived all the refurbs!
Born and raised in York PA very close to Hershey and seeing this is awesome. I like the newer version but this. This is my childhood 92 baby here
Amazing that you got the original version! It was so old I figure few smartphones existed to capture this.

Did you really think this was filmed with an old Smart phone? There were no smart phones… this was filmed with an actual
Camera……
@@colorfulchristy89yes, and as such there were fewer people who had them, as filming rides was typically against the rules
I remember this version of the ride as this one was the first version I ever went on. That cow is my favorite part.
Let's just hope it doesn't creep you out
@@matthewweikert20 It didn't. I just fondly remember it, just like the ride
The first version I went on wasn't this, but it was before the current version. It had only 3 singing cows and they sang "It's the milk chocolate!"

Same here this is the one i remember as well
This version of the Hershey's Chocolate World "Factory Tour Ride" was introduced in Spring of 1998 during the 25th Anniversary of Chocolate World.
So they changed every few years?
Maybe they can bring the orginal MIX THE MILK CHOCOLATE back with more colors and lights

Lightning Racer is my favorite.
I think the narrator for this version ride is Robert Macgruder, the narrator for "Cheaters." It sounds like him.
Loved this version!!
Just went on the ride today. It is now not nearly as fun as this ride. It’s a shame. Thank you for uploading so much!!!!
For the others that have come here just for this..
4:00 “moooo”
This is how I remember that they should’ve kept it this way
Wow and this one is in HD 😲
This was filmed before HD cameras I believe. At least before they were common, but the quality of this video isn't so bad.
@@SooperEggs oh thanks because this is Hersheylicious 🍫 and the design in the load/unload area doesn't have the design until the old 2014 remake build
Kids will cry seriously experiencing this dark ride
I distinctly remember at around 5:30 mark, you would get a really sharp chocolate smell, I loved it sm lol
I've never seen this version that animatrnic cow looks primative
Yeah, that puts Chuck E. Cheese to shame.
This looks like Disney’s Pirates Of The Caribbean & The Haunted Mansion
OMGGG
So did they do away with that human oven you used to go through? Lol
No they still have it
The logo is kinda Creeepy
