I honestly had the same reaction when I heard this song tonight for the first time. Just the shear aggression from his voice had me feeling it. The line where he demands they admit wronging him feels the most genuine and possibly relatable. haven't heard a lot of good metal these days on the radio so this is refreshing. I have to say as a veteran I have to recommend Wrong Side of Heaven. It's heavy. Especially the meaning behind the song. Glad I watched and subscribed! I see that Megadeth shirt!

The Adventures of TNT I’m 43 so I have had a long time listening. Megadeth has stood the test of time with me. Not saying any of the albums is better than any of the others but I have always liked so far so good so what the best. Not sure why don’t care to analyze lol. Since then I’ve expanded my metal horizons but the classics stick. I love all genres of rock from classic to heavy I appreciate it all. Keep rocking them buddy I enjoy you and your wife’s reactions.

There are a lot of military tribute songs that will make you tear up that are good and FFDP actually does a lot of amazing covers. I would say pick one of their more thrash originals, a military tribute and a cover to get a good idea of their range.
This music doesn't sound organic to me. It must be that "pro tools" feel... it's mechanical sounding to me. It's like CGI for the ears. I don't care for it. It's probably an age thing. I'm pushing 50.
Check out the band CLUTCH. They started in 1991 and are still consistently creating great rock and roll. They've covered many genres over the years. They've gone from hardcore to post grunge to stoner rock to blues rock, and even funk. Straight forward, no bullshit hard rock with a lots of thought provoking lyrics with killer guitar and bass riffs. "In Walks Barbarella" is on their latest album and worth a look.
This is main the reason why I started to go back and listen to older bands. A lot of the newer bands that are coming out don't sound "organic" enough. The instruments sound too perfect and clean. Songs sound less like they were performed but more like they are mechanically put together.
