So tiring hearing people say “he only have beefs with pop stars and basic rappers”.. It’s not like he’s dodging beefs with bigger rappers, they just don’t want smoke with him and he’s not looking for beefs just to beef
Exactly!! He said this openly in his raps that he can take all of them at once. The “big rappers” avoid him at all costs because they know the white guy would smoke their asses off!
This blew my mind when I first heard this in High school. The passion, skill, word play, anger was out of this world. Em was incredible. Nobody rapped like that
This isn't the "darker side" of hip hop. This is the funny side! You might need to actually know some of his story to see the funny side of it though. There are a lot of "trigger words" but that's intentional to exaggerate the hyperbole. Those words are there just to trigger people and really aren't important for the context. And he did have A LOT heavier beefs than Carey and Moby.
You guys should listen to cleaning out my closet by Eminem , and HEADLIGHTS by Eminem and Nate Russ, they give a little story and also his apologies from him and his brother to his mom
Correction: he didnt have 'beef' with mariah or moby, those were collateral damage in the wake of his hip hop movement. He's had beef with real lyricists and industry heads, lost brothers to the game. You said it yourself youre not a hip hop head, so we cant blame you for assuming this.
@@kollincarpenter4909it’s different, he’d attack absolutely ANYBODY and with them it was more funny that he had beef with them, it wasn’t serious beef like it was with other real street rappers like Ja Rule
Literally one of the best battle rappers ever. Only reason you hear about the "beefs" with like mariah and mobey is because the actual real beefs he had with other rappers ended their careers
He is Really different you have to see him with his kids and he is a grandfather now !! His music back then he was coming up with all the other Rappers but he give respect to all them ! I love all of it grew up with it nwa thousand miles and running off the chain !! Great stuff from all them they moved everybody thanks to them all and Shout out to yalls Channel just joined ya all right let's go !!!!
I think Tasha is right in what she's saying regarding the characters Eminem uses on his songs is a way for him to have an outlet and pour out some of his emotions from his past that obviously impacted his life negatively. I think he's intelligently created these characters to enable himself to be able to offload how he does in his music. Also agree with the comment made about other rappers sounding way more serious in their intentions with what they're saying, because it's directly coming from them in terms of how their message is delivered.. eg no characters etc. Great reaction guys!
There is a reason none of the big rappers go head to head with Eminem. Saying it like he ain’t beefed with no big rappers is just not true, they just don’t want to rap battle with him
The deep cuts on all of his albums are much deeper, darker, and even more biting with sarcasm and satire... His majority of singles were his pop stuff ...sans Stan or Superman.
This song is basically a slap in the face to everyone that was giving him shit about his lyrical content in his first album. It's like a "you want to tell me what I can and can't say? OK im gonna say the worst shit I can think of" lol. You have to understand the context at the time. At this time he was getting blamed for a lot of the ills in society and his response was just to come harder. The song is a statement.
If you want to hear more sinister and shocking lyrics from Eminem, it will most likely be something like "Stay wide awake" or "My darling". Also B.I.G and Eminem have a song called "Dead wrong", the lyricism is also pretty shocking, if that is the goal.
It also helps to know that “Slim Shady” is an alter ego that Eminem created to rap about all the darkest stuff rolling around I his head. He’s technically not rapping as Eminem in this song but as Slim Shady.
If your still driving into dark hip-hop, please consider Immortal Technique - Dance With the Devil. An underground lyrical ride that will invoke an emotional reaction and leave you with goosebumps.
I can't imagine what people who hear first time this song in 2024 think about it. it's like they all are shocked I believe. but back in 2000 it was normal and awesome taking a shit was cool back then I men it still is in some countries! you 2 should do Eminem - Quitter (Everlast Diss) ft. D12 😂
Eminem was always a master at lyrically painting a picture. It’s almost like he tells a story with every song even if it’s just messed up stuff lol Dr.Dre knew he struck gold because Em wasn’t just able to rap and rhyme words he was a like a messed up poet that was so lyrically gifted and genuinely had 0 fucks given. Throughout all the controversy other artists and particularly hip hop and rap culture especially back in the early to mid 90’s when the East and West coast rap war was finally beginning to die down Slim Shady took over.
I’ve always thought he was calling other rappers “bitches and women” he’s warning everyone in the game that he’s insane and if this is what he’d do to his mom imagine what he’d do to you
Hope you two are well... I just wanted to put my 2 cents into this conversation. To me, Eminem's music, like this one, is a lot like Alice Cooper, or Slayer, or any musicians who use harsh, violent, or hurtful lyrics, aren't exactly saying what they're saying... That sounds silly, but my point is that a metal band may say 'I love to kill', but I don't ACTUALLY think they want to kill anyone. Those lyrics are trying to get a mood or for the shock of it. Like I mentioned Alice Cooper, he has a song called, "I Love The Dead", but like T mentioned, Alice Cooper is a character. His concerts are like a Broadway play, with fake blood, and his head gets cut off on stage! Now, 'Alice Cooper' is NOT is real name, it's a character. Now, Tasha, if you can understand that (nearly) EVERYTHING you'll hear in music is made to feel a certain, well, a feeling. So, the lyrics will go with the feeling of the music, a sad song will usually have sad lyrics. A aggressive metal song, will give you a different feeling, making you aggressive, or for you to feel or think of an aggressive thing that you went through. There are musicians that DO but lyrics that are 'attacking' another musician, but 99% of that is fake to get more hype, which = $$. I'm sure there are some crazy people out there that really believe in the crazy devil stuff, but most bands are just creating art, the way they like to create. I'm not even sure if anything I typed here made any sense, hell, I have no idea if you're gonna see this at all! I just wanted to put my twist into this conversation. I just hope I was able to pass some of my wisdom into the world. If so, it'll be the first time... Btw... 'Alice Cooper' Was born as 'Vincent Damon Furnier.' I'm not sure why he changed his name. His real name is bad ass for a rocker! Haha. Ok, I'll shut my phone down now. It's time to play some video games... 🤘🤪 Later, Tasha & T, catch y'all on the flip side...
I always took this, and most of the things Em says is that he is going to "lyrically kill you" with his super power. With this being the intro to album, it's the set up for what is to come. If you guys haven't done the Hamilton Musical. It is a game changer and has fans that have watched every reaction on the Internet. The Internet needs more (why am I capitalizing the Internet?)
Respect miss lady for going out of your comfort zone... appreciate you guys from stereophonics reaction...this is quite a departure...my guys smurk tells the whole story 😂
Girl, you got this right. Shady is a character and he acts crazy and he acts like he’s killing people and he puts on a mask like Jason from the horror movies but he still a character and there’s not a damn thing sinister about him.
I recommend the genius songs in the order they're meant to be heard in. Kim then 97' Bonnie & Clyde. Imagine being such a genius you make a prelude song to a song on a PREVIOUS album. Then other good songs are Soldier, Say goodbye to Hollywood, Hailie's Song, and I'm Back.
hiphop is kinda like comedyu in a way. the artists push the envelope and social norms of what is and isnt okay. some lyrics are more shocking than others, but in general yes hiphop is a graphic and often vulgar genre, but that's why its so loved. Because the uncensored art is so raw and authentic
Why no Screamin' Jay Hawkins on the channel yet? Whistling past the graveyard, Constipation Blues... (Great documentary: Screamin' Jay Hawkins - I put a spell on me.)
Thank you for reminding me why I broke his cd threw it away as a child! He can go to a therapist about his beef, ptsd, whatever he suffers from. Marshall Mathers has got the money to hire one.
There is a lot of stuff that eminem said that sounds ridiculous but it was a plot to a movie that everyone loves. Like a famous one is when he's talking about killing his wife and driving around with her for 7 hours thru California, and dropping her at the police station and driving off honking the horn for her. That is the plot to weekend at bernies. People were outaged at his verse but laughed while watching weekend at bernies. Reasons why he always went at the media. He always shoved the double standards of the media back in their faces. And actually talked about current events. He just had a different way of talking about it.
I think it’s important to be able to distinguish when a rapper is being real on a song as opposed to playing a character, like an actor portraying a role. While Em occasional will remind you in a song that he’s not serious (half the sh*t I say I just make it up to make you mad . . .), I don’t feel rappers should have to tell you. B.I.G. spitting a crime tale (N’s Bleed) has a very different feel than Juicy. It’s also important to remember that not everything hip hop is super hard core. Even Eminem has a very “real” side to his music from very early on (Rock Bottom and The Way I Am) to songs (Temporary and Somebody Save Me) on his latest album.
Like eminem said "im looking for the smoke but these mfks are scattering" ems been calling the whole game out. Top lyricist know better than to diss em😂
Eminem at this time around did have beefs where there were lives at stakes. There had been times where he had to go everywhere in bulletproof vests and stuff like that. Listen to Bully and Sing for the moment if you wanna know more.
Maybe have her listen to Mockingbird so she can see a different side of Eminem and be more likely to give him more looks. I know Tasha doesn't know, but Em had beef with a lot of rappers/street dudes...from happy rapper Will Smith to industry heavyweight Marion "Suge" Knight.
Also, he's beefed with Everlast, Royce da 5'9", Ja, ICP, Jermaine Dupri, MGK, Nick Cannon, Joe Budden, Suge Knight in real life, Lord Jamar, Charlamagne, a whole buncha people on Kamakazi, every mumbler rapper lol, Game, and then all his "pop" and "family" feuds. And he's currently been on Puffy's ass lol.

You can’t tell me you don’t listen to Eminem. PS. Your reaction was probably one of the most emotionally intelligent answers I’ve heard on a reaction video.
One of the angry beef songs 'Go to sleep ' Em has songs where hes really angry and you can feel it in the voice, in this this song I'm not feeling that. I think this song it's not like disturbing but has history, it was banned in Canada , Em was stop by customs / goverment to not play that song on tour there or he will be in trouble.
I get why your viewers want to see shocking rap reactions but I think you'd actually enjoy some stuff from a group called Atmosphere. I'd recommend The Waitress, Little Man, Yesterday.
He was ready to fight suge knight. That is enough in my books to say he was cracked in his old days.
He had beef with Irv Gotti, Ja Rule…The whole Murder Ink crew. Here some suggestion for a reminder: Like Toy Soldiers, Bully
him and 50 even had beef with Suge Knight.
Rip to his mother dawg
Nail in the coffin, Hail Mary and Hailie’s Revenge…. But all the DJ Green Lantern Shady Invasion’s got the East West type beef.
lol you think she knows about that lol she didn’t know em
I've been a hardcore Eminem fan for years his lyrical genius is amazing
He's number 1 without a doubt.
Guys a federal asset… 😂
Also he’s gay… and I mean the “good kind of gay where 2 men f*** each other and hate 🦫…”
This blew my mind when I first heard this in High school. The passion, skill, word play, anger was out of this world. Em was incredible. Nobody rapped like that
facts
He had issues with Benzino, Ja Rule, cannibus among others.
Song hasn't even started and I can tell this is going to be rough for her... Editing, take it back she handled it better than I expected
I think she would love songs like mockingbird, when im gone, like toy soldiers- the story telling songs
This is one of my favorite Em songs!! 😂 love it!
Much Love 💗

3:50 that smirk means: Oh my dear wife you have no idea what is expecting you right know 😂
I havent dragged you into the woods yet to paint the forest... ctfu I love that line
After that shot at Em, you gotta show her some of them classic diss tracks 😂 Quitter, Go to Sleep, Bully, Nail in the Coffin, Can-i-bitch, The Sauce.
Eminem got so rally good songs. I like the way he mixs the styles up
The deep cuts on all of his albums are much deeper, darker, and even more biting with sarcasm and satire... His majority of singles were his pop stuff ...sans Stan or Superman.

What I really love about the song is how the beat pauses so much it feels like it would be weird to flow on, but he makes it work so well
If you want to hear more sinister and shocking lyrics from Eminem, it will most likely be something like "Stay wide awake" or "My darling". Also B.I.G and Eminem have a song called "Dead wrong", the lyricism is also pretty shocking, if that is the goal.
I loved hearing someone that didn’t grow up listening to this recognize the “cartoon violence” of this song.
Content aside you've gotta appreciate the lyrical prowess of Eminem it's incredible
Yeah, this song always had me like ... "??😐??"
EM created his own lane in the industry. Lyrical Demon who ascended to a higher being.
No. Not yet! You have to ease her into Kim.
One of my favorites!!! ❤👊🎵🎶😁❤️❤️❤️ Btw.... Excellent reaction! 👍❤️
As far as the darker songs of ems this one's been my favorite and always will be. 3am probably is my second. The writing is so good
Classic em song. Love every second of it.
It also helps to know that “Slim Shady” is an alter ego that Eminem created to rap about all the darkest stuff rolling around I his head. He’s technically not rapping as Eminem in this song but as Slim Shady.
Haven't even watched the reaction yet but I know it's gonna be good. This album was one of my all time favorites. Still know every word to this one.
“I grew up in a very christian household listening to rnb…”
*reads song title*
ah shit
If your still driving into dark hip-hop, please consider Immortal Technique - Dance With the Devil. An underground lyrical ride that will invoke an emotional reaction and leave you with goosebumps.
Em has had way more beef than just Mariah and Mobey
As the world turns is the best to break the ice
Im HERE for it!!!
I was hoping y'all did this one after that "What's beef" video...
Cuz Em's lyrics be crazy asf....
Especially on this joint lol

Superman is my favorite Em song
You grew up like I did. Listening to positive uplifting music. There's absolutely nothing wrong with that. God bless you and your family!!!!
Give Eminem a chance to explain himself and do "Criminal"
I’ve always thought he was calling other rappers “bitches and women” he’s warning everyone in the game that he’s insane and if this is what he’d do to his mom imagine what he’d do to you
Ok we need more of this 😂
'doesn't feel gangster' the Eminem Show literally existing hahahaha

His real name is bad ass for a rocker!
Haha.
Ok, I'll shut my phone down now.
It's time to play some video games...
🤘🤪
Later, Tasha & T, catch y'all on the flip side...
From your intro I knew this was gonna be sweet when Em started going on this song 😂
D.R.S. - Sickness
She will flip her lid
You know her point about his Mom is spot on
Lol dude is just over there grinning the entire time!

Good reaction! You should react to 40 oz by D12 it's a banger.
Are you from Maryland? The way you say "on" is like everyone in my family lol
This is awesome. It's really great though that she knows he's kidding. She actually gets the joke. So dope.

"Relapse" (the album) by Eminem will be real a treat for yall!🫡🔪
Even Shady wouldn't go after a kid or threaten them.
If what he says bothers you, then he got you. It's all set up to bother you.
Stay Wide Awake. Eminem’s serial killer song.
Oh yesssss …
There is a lot of stuff that eminem said that sounds ridiculous but it was a plot to a movie that everyone loves. Like a famous one is when he's talking about killing his wife and driving around with her for 7 hours thru California, and dropping her at the police station and driving off honking the horn for her. That is the plot to weekend at bernies. People were outaged at his verse but laughed while watching weekend at bernies. Reasons why he always went at the media. KIM.
That's serious💯💯💯
I think it’s important to be able to distinguish when a rapper is being real on a song as opposed to playing a character, like an actor portraying a role. While Em occasional will remind you in a song that he’s not serious (half the sh*t I say I just make it up to make you mad . . .), I don’t feel rappers should have to tell you. B.I.G. spitting a crime tale (N’s Bleed) has a very different feel than Juicy.
It’s also important to remember that not everything hip hop is super hard core. Going back to The Fat Boys, KRS-One, Public Enemy, A Tribe Called Quest, Digable Planets, Queen Latifah, to Devin the Dude Lupe Fiasco, Joyner Lucas and more that are thought provoking and/or humorous, there is and always has been a wide variety of sounds and subject matter under the Hip Hop umbrella. Even Eminem has a very “real” side to his music from very early on (Rock Bottom and The Way I Am) to songs (Temporary and Somebody Save Me) on his latest album.
He tried to fight Suge and a gang of Mexicans. He pistol whipped a bouncer. He’s been talking shit about Diddy from the beginning.
You need to remember this is Slim Shady
Got to react to some of his hip hop beefs now! She’ll enjoy that
Idc what ‘gangsta rap’ you’ve listened to, but no gangsta be saying what Em is saying in tracks like this, Fack and especially Insane!
"he beefed with Moby and Marriah Carey" 🤣 wait til she finds all the Eminem Diss tracks out there.
Maybe have her listen to Mockingbird so she can see a different side of Eminem and be more likely to give him more looks. Hes put 2 daughters through college and is raising another, though only Hailey is his actual daughter. Hes a about to be a grandpa too. His songs are tongue and cheek really, hes a good man whos been through a lot to get to where he is now.
Do more Eminem songs
I know Tasha doesn't know, but Em had beef with a lot of rappers/street dudes...from happy rapper Will Smith to industry heavyweight Marion "Suge" Knight.
If your looking for dark check out eminem stay wide awake.
You "draw the line" at kids, not cross the line lol
lmao, thats a whole different meaning right there 🤣
Also, he's beefed with Everlast, Royce da 5'9", Ja, ICP, Jermaine Dupri, MGK, Nick Cannon, Joe Budden, Suge Knight in real life, Lord Jamar, Charlamagne, a whole buncha people on Kamakazi, every mumbler rapper lol, Game, and then all his "pop" and "family" feuds. And he's currently been on Puffy's ass lol.
I think before taking her to a dark Em Playlist, you should intrude her to the hopeful and empowered Em. When Slim Shady takes contrsonmost songs are harsh, specially if you don't know much about Em's life and can't separate Marshal from Slim.
She might have a negatives bios if she start only we the harsh stuff.
Play her "stay wide awake" by Eminem.
I would LOVE to see her facial reactions to FACK!!
Plz let her listen to more eminem and really let her listen to his lirics ..ind im sure her view on him wil change..love the videos you 2..keep them comming ! big love from the netherlands
It’s called Horrorcore meaning there was no rules 😂
You can’t tell me you don’t listen to Eminem. PS. Your reaction was probably one of the most emotionally intelligent answers I’ve heard on a reaction video.
whenever there is eminem on this channel I will be there
This is shock value rap. It’s supposed to make us go “wtf he say?” 😂
Bro hand look like that guy's hand from scream or whatever yhe name of that movie was 😂😂😂😂
New album has some bangers
You should have her listen to "Kim" by Eminem!
"Criminal" from the MMLP are one of the best Tracks ever. You should react to that. 😂😂
React to "who knew" by Eminem
