2022 is going to be a great year for BoostedBoiz. Have come so damn far. Congrats guys. Razzle dazzle is going to be a fun toy to play with the SXSBLOGG BOIZ.
Mentioned this about 5 times in previous videos the Razzle Dazzle was built as a show car not a super fast offroad buggy that frame / roll cage was never intended to take a high speed rollover it needs to be triangulated more and stiffened up . I have spent most of my life building dirt track speedway cars and have seen first hand what can happen when you roll over at speed that thing is a death trap in it's current configuration.
I think the frame might crumple which isnt great but not terrible, crumple zones are good so long as your legs arnt part of the crumple zone. I do worry about the steering shaft though, its basically a spear welded inside the frame at one end, and a steering wheel on the other end. It needs a big beefy bar welded to one side so if they crash head on it bends and swings away from the driver, instead of impaling them.
The razzle dazzle was already very fast on her last rip...she gapped everyone before going boom! Now I can imaging everyone will be seeing a dust and an huge smile on brent's face after all!
Hell yeah, Razzle Dazzle is going to be insane. The cool part is, you won't have to push it to the edge power wise to be insane. That motor could live a long life at 600hp in the dunes. I cannot wait to see the Dazzler herself back out ripping.
the 3.2 crank fiasco is a blessing in disguise tbh the razzle dazzle sounds insane at high RPM & the smaller stroke is going to insure she can sing for a lot longer

I'm an old guy who's only ever messed with big block Chevys for years so it's nice to see the next generations continuing the true American spirit of classic hot rod performance with the metric stuff. The knowledge you guys have of these little engines is impressive. The bigger piston would result in more CC's, but then you had to de-stroke it to cover for the longer rods so I have a question, is the final CC size bigger or smaller than you had originally planned? Either way I'm sure you guys will be making plenty of power for the Razzle when it comes time to send it. Keep up the good work guys!

The limit on the transmission will be the shock load you put back through it, so long as you don't go too silly on tyres and keep the weight down it'll probably cope for playing in, we aren't going past 400 in ours with a bigger UN5 transmission just because the shock loadings on trails are far worse than the outright power level, sand ain't so bad though. I'd definately weld a triangulating bar into that a-pillar though, if you go over hard the top of that cage will fold like tinfoil. Ironically have a 240 flywheel and clutch bolted into ours...
Assuming they keep it in the sand it's difficult to put massive shock loads through the transmission even with relatively harsh launches..... But these guys can and will break everything so...

@@CP_FPV I actually tried eating McDonald's daily to put on weight and didn't gain anything, but to be completely honest I'm a very picky eater and rarely eat fast food anymore. Now pizza is something I do order pretty often, just get tired of hearing you're so skinny, you need to eat, etc.
Heat gun the poly over the old glass to form it. Clean the inside of the glass..lay poly on it and tape it to not move..heat gun the sides to curve down..let cool..its now close to the shape you need..destress it with the heat gun as needed during install to help it form into the frame..hope this helps.
Going low temperature and slow with a good quality heat gun makes a world of difference. With a higher quality heat gun the temperature output is substantially more uniform making it much easier to gently heat the part. They are expensive but it's worth spending the money on a Steinel.
Hey Kyle, with the speed and power you have in that buggy, I would really like to see a better roll cage. What’s there won’t do much in a crash. I would hate to see anyone get hurt why having a great time.
@@elliottvader2377 have you built cages? Have you ever crashed a sand car? I’ve been in racing my entire life. From off-road to stock cars and everything in between. I’ve crashed them all at some point. I’ve been racing and fabricating since I was 10, so trust me, that cage is seriously insufficient for the power level he will have. Even when it was a turbo 3 rotor. Honestly, the entire car is sketchy at that power level. Everything is extremely light weight. Which makes it fast for sure. But about as safe as a beer can in a crash.

You should definitely port and polish the heads and intake to match the gasket port sizes and with it being a boosted application it will flow alot better especially since you you upgraded the valves,springs, and retainers and I'm sure you'll be putting bigger cams and gears in the heads it will help them breathe alot better and it will be the next best thing to having a set of aftermarket heads and make sure to degree the cams as you assemble the engine that way it will really breathe and make all the power
While everything you said is correct, this is far from the first motor they've built, so I'm sure they already know all of that lmao. I mean they do have the fastest NSX and MR2 in the world, so I think they know what they're doing....
@@xaviercrowley7517 they always talking about rods, springs retainers and boost systems but I dont think I've ever heard them say the NSX or MR2 is port and polished. Only time I've heard them talk about it is when Phong did his NA motor..

Geeze guys that engine is fighting yall tooth and nail and just does not want to go together at all. I've never had that much trouble building an engine, don't get me wrong I've most definitely had my fair share of issues but nothing like that. Just about every time yall tried to do something there was an issue. I hate to see you guys going through that but just hang in there and the end result will be well worth it and yall will have a blast in that light sand rail with 5-600 hp out of that light v6. You can use a heatgun to pre-form the lexan. Super easy if you have the old glass to lay it on top of as a form
might have been worried about warping or discoloring/burning it with the heat since they only had one piece

I would strip down the rail and wire it with a Fuel Tec and also add some strength to the mount points for the rear and front end.

Going low temperature and slow with a good quality heat gun makes a world of difference. With a higher quality heat gun the temperature output is substantially more uniform making it much easier to gently heat the part. They are expensive but it's worth spending the money on a Steinel.
Hey Kyle, with the speed and power you have in that buggy, I would really like to see a better roll cage. What’s there won’t do much in a crash. I would hate to see anyone get hurt why having a great time.

@@elliottvader2377 have you built cages? Have you ever crashed a sand car? I’ve been in racing my entire life. From off-road to stock cars and everything in between. I’ve crashed them all at some point. I’ve been racing and fabricating since I was 10, so trust me, that cage is seriously insufficient for the power level he will have. Even when it was a turbo 3 rotor. Honestly, the entire car is sketchy at that power level. Everything is extremely light weight. Which makes it fast for sure. But about as safe as a beer can in a crash.
@@michaelpeace716 couldn’t agree more man I had to do a lot of cage work to my old fiber tech chassis. Even though it’s a Volkswagen you just never know when that wrong dune strikes you in Glamis.

At PRI from what I saw in some of the videos out there they had alot of transaxles and quick change rear ends that would fit right into Razzle Dazzle

You should definitely port and polish the heads and intake to match the gasket port sizes and with it being a boosted application it will flow alot better especially since you you upgraded the valves,springs, and retainers and I'm sure you'll be putting bigger cams and gears in the heads it will help them breathe alot better and it will be the next best thing to having a set of aftermarket heads and make sure to degree the cams as you assemble the engine that way it will really breathe and make all the power
While everything you said is correct, this is far from the first motor they've built, so I'm sure they already know all of that lmao. I mean they do have the fastest NSX and MR2 in the world, so I think they know what they're doing....

@@xaviercrowley7517 they always talking about rods, springs retainers and boost systems but I dont think I've ever heard them say the NSX or MR2 is port and polished. Only time I've heard them talk about it is when Phong did his NA motor..

Geeze guys that engine is fighting yall tooth and nail and just does not want to go together at all. I've never had that much trouble building an engine, don't get me wrong I've most definitely had my fair share of issues but nothing like that. Just about every time yall tried to do something there was an issue. I hate to see you guys going through that but just hang in there and the end result will be well worth it and yall will have a blast in that light sand rail with 5-600 hp out of that light v6.
