I'm always so conflicted with the length of your videos. When I see your 4.5 hour ones I'm like "how am I going to find the time to watch the whole thing", but when videos like AA come out and are only 45 minutes I'm like "aw it's only 45m".

Watching this while paying space engineers survival impossible (inspired by splitsie). Great fun watching so far keep up the good work guys!
Would like to recommend changing the drill out for a layer or two of blast door over an armed warhead. For about the same magnesium as one gatling box I get about 2x to 4x effective damage over pure kinetic suicide drones.

Ive never used power or speed mods on Refineries in every playthrough, ive always just made more power for refineries with full yield mods only, using the gold for only yield mods is always worth it for the resources gained.
It won't be safe to drink the water until you get that dead Splitsie out of the bottom of your well.
If you're digging in without alternative drilling, you might as well use the concrete mod and make the gravel useful.

I think defense shields would be fine if they only worked on static grids because they can't dodge like mobile grids can.
I'm pretty sure with IIM, you can name them Autocrafting 01, Autocrafting 02, etc, to better control which and where it's displaying
Please consider adding the doom hole death counter. Preferably on a warning sign placed on the very edge.
Also it might be possible to speed up the drilling by adding a second drilling arm perpendicular to the first one. Then the hinge range could be 90° instead of 180° effectively doubling the speed.
Oh yeah, I had that thought as well then completely forgot it - hopefully can remember when I feel the urge to fully automate the process 🙂

Quick math suggestion: change your rotor limits on the drilling rig to 80 degrees rather than 90. The area removed wil only be about 5% narrower, and the hole will advance a little more than 10% faster. Dropping the limits to 72 degrees will increase speed 20% for a hole only 10% narrower.
I wanted the specific width I was writing with so couldn't take advantage of that without being a lot more clever with the maths and extending the arm length. And I'm definitely not that good at maths 🤣
@@Flipsie Yeah, I'm a math geek. In this case, the width of the cut is the sine of the rotor angle times the length of the arm. sin(80)=0.985 and sin(72)=0.95.
If the cut is 10 large blocks wide, the sweep from 75 degrees to 90 degrees removes less than half the thickness of a small block from either side.
Purely FWIW.. the main action is great!
Has Keen given any notice about having found whatever is causing this issue with the gunships and drones randomly becoming invulnerable to damage in the Aries at War scenario?
I suspect it's a mod thing, not a keen thing, but with a scenario that has this much going on, it's hard to be sure

2) how heavy are small grid warheads?
3) how heavy are small grid decoys?
and can one of you focus on throwing sg decoys while the other one throws sg warhead grenades ;-) may be your solution to hitting those turrets
