Brilliant, shack & splitsie … great I need a new series to get excited about!
Welcome to the Nostalgia Series :P Good to see you back again Shack!
Good to cu and Shack working together! Love the expanding shipyard
I said this is in Shacks chat when I watched live for a bit....... This is such a treat. I started watching Shack's YT channel way back TG days when he started coverage of the Star Trek Armada 3 mod. I think he's the 2nd oldest channel sub I currently have. And you've become the channel that I now watch the most. I'm really excited for this series as it's like watching two old friends have a grand time.
When he mentioned your comments my thoughts immediately went to 'Hey, I know who you're talking about!' 😂
@@Flipsie 😁
Lol, I'm currently sat here listening to this whilst playing Avorion
Captain Mr Captain, rotors inbound
I love these types of survival series! Im excited to see some awesome builds! I get a lot of insperation from these videos. 😀
Saw a new series with Shack and was excited to watch... Was not disappointed.
Great introduction to the new series!
I'm looking forward to seeing the next episode!
Liking the concept here! I look forward to the iterations of weapon core stuff.
The chatter in this vod sounds like a grognard chat-over-beer session. Which, given the players' time in game', is exactly what it is.
Tipical shack, fergot that the red ship would count towards threat...
Watched the stream of this, just wanted to say im looking forward to more! Already enjoying the way you engineer together
Next step...a collapsible unfolding welding rig that you can pack in a ship and take with you...
Rimworld is a very good example of a game mod load order vary much matters and has to be done manually unless use a third party mod manager like RImpy.
Id love to see a space only version of the scrap yard scenario
One more mod syndrome is a thing that every highly moddable game just has. Better to embrace it early on. There is a song by Mineworks Animations that fully represents said syndrome. It's called "Mods, Mods, Mods" and while the video is Minecraft related (and goofy), the lyrics are generic enough to apply to any moddable game.
My option on shelids, low power so they stop one or two rounds (I play with people who are gun ho and crash alot) then your taking armor damage and the sheild basically cycles giving you moments to try and fix the hull damage
I was addicted to Ultima online but never been drawn to gambling. I'm looking forward to your next episode.
The Gravity Collector mod still works fine actually and uses the updated collector model. Since there has been no change in how collectors and grav gens work (at least since planets were added anyways) there would be no reason why it would stop working.
It's Digi's mod so it's at least maintained even if even if he doesn't add anything else to it.
Boosters could be cool to see in this series if u have these guns modes
Splitsie you sound like you have a cold, fell better man.
X4 Foundations is a complete time sink. It was really buggy but they've fixed much of it and is very worth playing. My playtime is 2nd behind SE.
It's epic space opera stuff, carriers with multiple small and medium ships docked all taking off and attacking some target while you stand on deck watching them. No idea how you'd translate that into something streamable though without spending 90% of your time off stream. Well worth playing though, you'll love it and there is an element of space station design where you can stand on some docking deck looking at the massive structure you designed growing around you.
Alternatively Abiotic Factor just released a massive update with a next area - you'd pretty much finished Hydro Plant.
(Also I hate watching welding - not far enough in the VOD to know if laser welders work, but if not Nanobot Build and Repair is a nice, design and something else welds it system).
X4 is basically "start out as a spaceship pilot, end up as a fleet admiral and finally megacorp CEO".
@@Rikard_Nilsson It's great, the amount of time I've spent doing that on multiple runs is sad but ultimately massively satisfying. Depending on how you play it and your allegiances, you'll get screwed up all over the place as well.
is that captain shack i hear ????
Would you mind listing the mods you are using? You have some I never seen before. Or if it is listed somewhere could someone enlighten me please?
This is the original mod list, it changed a little during the stream 😜

What mod is the that Lazer called
I use vanilla+ plus instead of weapon core.
ohh great a shack series well consider that a couple video series till he gets bored again. the guy dont finish nothing unless its starwars
The way I look at it, if it's fun along the way I'm not too worried about where it ends up. There are plenty of games I've started recently and haven't 'ended' like Aloft, Conan, Forever Skies and I actually feel better for having left them when I did (whatever the reason may be e.g. bugs, my CPU dying, just not really wanting to play more etc). Pushing through when you're no longer committed to what you're doing doesn't help anyone really.
Hopefully we'll get to more fun stuff, but even if we only did this, I now have a really cool proof of concept for a space based dry dock that I definitely want to continue to play around with :)
@@Flipsie I'm not gonna lie, I felt relieved you haven't mentioned Hydroneer - I loved watching these videos and I hope you'll eventually come back to that series when you feel like it :)
@Flipsie I'm more someone who gets invested in a series and want to see more. Annoys me no end to have things dropped without a proper ending.. 😂
Ya, no game before or after EvE Online had to talk about a game like a drug addiction. I've avoided EvE like the plague once I got out.
I'm the true all seeing seer and healer
Starts mid sentence and ends mid sentence
Splitsie did you do a second stream of your brutal vulcan start?
