Hey Enfig, I purchased your kit after watching this video a week or two ago. It showed up today and I was able to put everything in with no problems! I didn't even break a clip LOL. I really appreciate the detail and step by step process you show here, it helped my amateur ass a ton and I just wanted to say I truly appreciate your work. After swapping out the rear pods and dash speakers, this is exactly what my truck needed. Thank you!!
Thank you!!! Bought the whole kit from you in December and did the install on my wife's 2-door 2023 - I was very close to buying a tailgate mounted sub before I even learned about the dummy amp and speaker, glad I found this option instead. This isn't window rattling bass by any means, but going from what was essentially zero bass to this was a huge improvement.
So I watched the vid.Let me say you sir,are a genius.so many people are spending big money on tailgate mount subwoofer,or a big box tHat takes up trunk space. You found a way to put the woofer in without any sacrafice to space.Y our video was extremely thorough. Every potential problem and its solution was addressed.I must say i was glad to be your Guinea pig!. The safe was a ford safe from ford accessories ( outlet).the seatbacks were mabett.and my buddy did the research, the dummu amp and speaker had to be put in so when they did thr crash test it was closer to the vehicle weight of the test car. Thanks ,im very happy the way the finished product turned out .I will be reaching out soon for the rear pods. Angelo
Hey chris,Im going to watch t the video when im laid up in the hospital on monday. When you gwve me the car back there was no sign that you took it all apart. A real clean professional job. I need to play with the bass knob and the radio settings to find the right spot . I will say this the truck Soundsystem really has some depth to it. That sub made all the diffrence .im looking forward to our next project, changing over the rear pods from 4" to 6". . Im lucky to have found you. I will post an update when i have had time to play with it further. Regards Angelo ( anthony) lol
26:15 they install the dummy amp and sub for a very good reason. This allows for the line workers to follow the same assembly procedure no matter if the bronco has the option or not. It would require a line assembly change and that was too costly vs just installing a dummy part. Line workers time is very carefully allocated and choregraphed. A deviation in that is a big deal to a mfring line. Thats assuming there is also no tooling change. That would add 10x to the cost.
Good vid bro even enjoyed the parts of you thinking out loud believe it or not some of what you said helps more than just doing it with edits glad to have run into your channel very informative best of luck to you
Hey there, I have 22 wildtrak with premium b&o system. I am going to open the side panel to fix common woofer rattle issue in this week. While i already open the panel ,should I upgrade the sub only (kicker brand you recommended )or not? Does that work ? Or does it even worth to swap sub ? Without major modifications preferred including software wise. What will be your actual recommendation. Thank you in advance 😊
Since I have never tried using the kicker sub with the factory amp I'm not sure how that will sound. But if you also add a new amp it should make a significant difference.
see how the B&O sub box is treated w/deadener and polyfill. if the box/enclosure is plasstic, some sound deadener will quell resonance. Adding some polyfill will trick the speaker into the thinking it is bigger and prevent unwanted acoustic events inside the box.
He says be glad it’s a new car and not a 30 yr old car, you can still get parts for it ! Yeah, you can tell for sure it’s the first Bronco he’s worked on! 😂 . You can get parts, you might just have to wait forever.
I see is Ford attempting to do owners an option to add an amplifier and a subwoofer in the most effective way, given the lack of parts to have it included from the factory. The good news about this enclosure and a placeholder for the amplifier and an aftermarket speaker is that you don’t have to fabricate one from scratch. I have seen other videos where an included BNO sub-woofer had to be modified to accommodate an aftermarket speaker however, in this case, the aftermarket speaker fit the enclosure without modification.
I'm not sure about hanging cables vs resting cables on the amp. Cables end up touching the amp and heat rises. Probably best to let them hang or secure to the car body, but always below it.
Thanks for the video. Wish I had your skills and experience. Do you know if this set up will work on a 2022 2 door, non-BO? I think I can order the sub box from Ford if it fits in a 2 door and go with your set up. I'll have to figure out wiring from sub to system and power.
I don't know that anwer yet. If you are local give me a call. But eventually we will have a kit for all broncos including ones that did not come with sub boxes.
I am really close to pulling the trigger on this kit. My question is, the kit mentions that a wiring harness is included in the kit. But I also see the wiring harness sold separately. I have the non B/O system with the (real) functioning amp and sub from the factory. Will I need the additional 99.00 harness?
The kit includes the harness. We sell the harness separately because some people find our video after they have purchased the amp and speakers. We give a package discount when everything is purchased from us.
I cant answer that but you lose bass in any vehicle when the top is down. That's also an opinion depending on how much bass you need. I have a 13.5" sut with 600W going to it in my car so that's a different level. . If you have installed it please chime in with your opinion.
Depends on what you want. But its sound much better than you would expect from a 6.75" speaker. If you are comparing it to a 12" sub hanging off your rear door with 500W going to it this is not what this is. But this is much better than OEM whiteout losing any trunk space.
My 2023 bronco came with an operational amp and sub, which I swapped out for the kicker key 500.1 and a 6.75" kicker sub. I'm getting very minimal sound out of the new sub, any idea why?
Not at all. The amp can do 500W when used with a 1 ohm sub. That does require an 8ga wire. When used with the 4 ohm sub it's only at 150W and the factory wire is enough for that. The engineers at Ford put a fuse in the car to protect the factory amp power wire. If the amp was drawing more than that cable could handle the fuse would blow. And if the amp wasn't getting enough power it would go into protection. I'm overly cautious about everything I sell and I can guarantee the wire is fine. I've sold over 100 kits with no issues.
I plan on making another video. That was only the 2nd time I had done the installation. It’s hard to film just what’s needed when you’re not super familiar with the car.
What is the actual benefit of having the bass knob? Can you not just adjust the bass from the screen? I have 0 experience with car audio but if the amp is rated for 500 watts, and the sub is rated for 300, is the limitation only the factory power wires? Could you just run larger wires directly from the battery and get 300 watts out of the same setup?
With extra bass you sometimes want to lower the bass on songs that are bass heavy. Also sometimes you want to blast your music and other times you want to listen with very little bass. Of is your'e listening to talk radio you don't want the bass hitting. The bass on the radio affects all the speakers. You might not want to lower the mid bass of the speakers. The bass knob is a volume knob for the sub only. The factory power wire cannot handle more power. I also have a feeling if you put too much power to the sub the plastic panel is going to rattle but do research and see if anyone else has done that upgrade. But more importantly ask if they listem to the bass at full volume or do they drive around with the bass knob at 1/2 way.
If you had a bronco you would know that the radio only has base treble and mid-range which will not effectively allow you to control only the subwoofer
@ I have a bronco and yeah those are the options. Didn’t understand car audio though. But ended up turning the bass on the head unit up all the way once I did this install.
Ford put in a phony sub for crash test reasons. If it had an actual magnet and voice coil, it could have been a decent 6.75-inch sub. A 1998 Mercury Mountaineer had an 8-inch Mach subwoofer in an identical location probably around 100 to 150 watts. It bumps for a factory sub and can hear the bass even if all the windows are down at highway speed. Sure beats the new B&O system with its sorry little sub that would be great in a small car like a Chevrolet Cruze but, not fit for a topless 4X4 SUV.
Dude, you really talk way too much. You want to get on with the job first you spend all this time talking about how to put stuff in place then you have to lift it all off anyway to get out everything.
I'm a talker. That's how I do my videos. I explain step by step and throw in some of what I think is entertainment. You can always just lower the volume.
All I know is it that guy was given my car a hysterectomy I'd like to know step by step exactly what he's doing and how to put it back together. Thank you for including all that detail
This guy does not inspire confidence, just figuring it out as he goes breaking stuff along the way. Probably should not break his own rule of not videoing the first removal.
What did I break? (Plural?) Please let me know so I can edit it out next time. There is nothing better than a super edited video that makes the job look super easy and gives you no information.
That was my bronco he was working on when I saw this video I almost passed out. When I got that car back it was if nothing was ever done he might have taken the car apart but everything was put back right and nothing was broken at all
Bro. Thank you for not skipping anything. Pulling and reinstalling panels, your details made all the difference @Enfig
You're welcome. Your comment is appreciated after many saying the video is too long lol

lol I've been looking for seats for my 2005 A4 convertible for years. Broncos might have a backlog but they will eventually be available.
Do
You sell
Just the harness already installed the kicker sub and tried a fusion amp it works just not enough bass
Eventually we will sell the harness by itself for a higher price because there is demand for it. We need to catch up on backorders first.

While I agree it will not get hot enough to my cables.
You a good teacher!
Unlike your English teacher.
Thank you.
Be nice. English isn't everyone's first language.

Was looking on the site notice it don’t have any for 2018 Volvo s90 t6 inscriptions
I"m sorry I'm not familiar with the Volvo s90 t6 inscriptions

Hi Enfig, I have 2022 wildtrak with a pocket panel instead a subwoof panel. If i purchase your kit, will it work? My doesnt come with subwoofer.
I honestly don't know if that car has the wiring for the sub. You would at least need to buy the enclosure.
Does the bass still work with the top off the bronco? My sound guy said it will sound terrible with the top and doors off.
I cant answer that but you lose bass in any vehicle when the top is down. That's also an opinion depending on how much bass you need. I have a 13.5" sut with 600W going to it in my car so that's a different level. . If you have installed it please chime in with your opinion.
Will the factory (complete) amp push the Kicker 2-ohm?
It will most likely work but it will not be as strong. I would never try that because the factory amp is made to push a thin paper driver.
Very good tutorial.. But I feel like that tiny sub with that few of watts in a loud Bronco would be a waste of time 😅
Depends on what you want. But its sound much better than you would expect from a 6.75" speaker. If you are comparing it to a 12" sub hanging off your rear door with 500W going to it this is not what this is. But this is much better than OEM whiteout losing any trunk space.

@@Enfigyes I ran through the kicker setup. It's working, just hardly putting out any sound.
@@johnpousson781 Did you use the -10DB files?
Isn't the stock harness too small for the sub? I thought this sub would require an 8 gauge wire for power.

My amp will only work with the input button on the kicker key 500.1 button out. Is this normal?
Are you using my pnp harness?
Hi there will that wire adapter work on a 2019 ford f150
I can make one but since I specialise in german cars nobody has brought me an F150 to make one.
Will this work for the 2024 model
I have not verified it but if the 2024 has the sub box and wiring it should work.
Informative but could be much shorter if you cover only what is needed and edited out the dead space.
I plan on making another video. That was only the 2nd time I had done the installation. It’s hard to film just what’s needed when you’re not super familiar with the car.

We sell the kit on our website.
Need a 10 inch woofer minimum.
I'm with you. I have a 13.5" in my car. But some people think that's overkill.
-250 goes back to your taxes

😂 2023 and we get fake speakers in a newly purchased mini van😂😂
