I only have 245 hours and still learning. I look forward to the wipe. Clean slate and now I understand outpost placement and the other ten thousand things I needed to know but didnt' when I started.

I only started a month ago and been using the prewipe as a learning lesson. I'm excited for a fresh start cuz I also made a ton of mistakes.

Makes no sense to wipe, but then let high ranks keep books, upgrades, rare woods, etc. The devs originally said the wipe was designed to make the game more "new-player friendly" by taking away the advantages of experienced players. Now they find the wipe is unpopular, so compromise begins. They should just merge servers & be done with it.
I get your point, but I think the safe chest isn't too overpowered, considering how it only lets you take certain items in limited numbers.
Keeps it "fair," can't have the newbs advancing too much. You might become a threat....To yourself. To the established order. Tsk tsk.

@@Despe1942 I left. Devs keep changing the game every 3 months. Its like open beta. Maybe next decade it will relaunch.
The rank survived. I was craft level 50. Now it shows no level at all? On another screen (somewhere) I saw craft level 7. Craft XP shows infinity. How does a 50 become a 7? I'm lost.
Ok I found the answer. 7 is the new max craft number. You find it on page " Buildings and Crafting". Top of page in a little circle. Also can hold mouse over your rank and craft level will show up.
how long is it between each wipe? i was an avid player a few months ago came back and forgot about the wipe :( if its every 6 months ill wait till the next wipe to start again
I believe it is every six months, yes. Not sure exactly when the next wipe will be though.

so i am new player still tryin to understand so there is wipes every season? Is there a point of even tryin to get ships if you are goin to just lose them?
Last I checked, they tend to wipe every six months or so. You'll lose your ships, ports, and warehouse items, but you'll get to keep your XP, rank, service medals, and investments. There's also a chest you can put a few valuable items in to carry over to the next season.
The seasonal wipes were not popular when they came out, but it is what it is, and I think they're here to stay now. I recommend not bothering with the largest, most expensive ships, as they're much too hard to replace after a wipe.

I've heard a few rumors around lately on my clan Discord (and some screenshots) discussing the developers' intentions to delete the war and peace servers, where I've been hanging out along with many others for I can't even recall how long.
I wanted to both ask if you know anything of this, as well as what your opinions are. In honesty, as much as I enjoy this game, myself as well as a huge number on the PvE server have stated that, if we're forced to the F2P server, that's it for us, seeing as that environment is not the one we paid for all those years ago.
I have not heard anything regarding the deletion of the war and peace servers myself. I've never been in direct contact with the NA devs, so your guess is as good as mine.
I do, however, suspect that they would prefer to be rid of the old PvE and PvP servers if they could, though that's only a suspicious on my part. If they are smart, they will eventually make the old servers available to players to purchase (like in the old days) but leave the Caribbean Server available as free to play. But honestly, I have no idea what the devs have planned for the future of the old servers.
I am getting into this game now, are there any DLCs that are worth their pricetag? They seem lackluster and too expensive at first glance.
Welcome to Naval Action. As a totally new player, the only DLC I'd recommend is the Hercules. It is an excellent ship to learn how to play with, and the most reasonably priced. I'd hold off on any other DLCs until you're sure you'll stay invested in the game.
As a new player you SHOULD NOT buy ANY DLC because you won't be able to use them until you reach a certain rank. 20hrs in and I still have a ways to go before I can use the Hercules.

I would love this game but only on a permanent PVE server. I'm not into putting hundreds of hours into something that will either be fucked by PVP or by seasons.
That's fair enough. Though most of the map is pve zones now so you wouldn't need to worry about getting ganked.

Hi, i´am only a commodore but also have the rescue chest - so maybe they changed the rank for this?!? or will it disapear with the wipe for me?
If you have the chest them I'm guessing they did indeed change it. I don't think it will disappear, though I do recommend you screenshot it just in case something goes wrong and you need to get compensation.

You've started at a good time then. You'll be able to take full advantage of the next season when it arrives.

great, i played 3 days and now the servers are gone...
I just started playing, though it seems like I missed the "good days" of the game. I'm still enjoying it, but I've never seen a dev with a mostly successful game run it the way they do.
Naval Action has a long history of bad design choices from the developers, but lately they've been making much better decisions and listening to their community.
@kairos4486 Thanks for replying man, sorry for sounding negative with my first comment. I've been enjoying your videos and have just been going down the rabbit hole of NA videos from years back and it's just always the same sentiment of the devs did something that went against what the player base enjoyed. Also, 2 separate server that only people who bought the game can access, that just doesn't make sense because f2p doesn't even have the option to buy access to the war server, and it just separates what little player base exists. The community is one of the best aspects of the game though, extremely helpful most of the time.

You will certainly lose your reals, and all outposts and assets therein, including buildings, will also be gone too.

I believe the wipe will only happen on the f2p server, but I'm not 100% sure on that. I haven't played on those other servers in a long time.

If they wipe War server they'll have two things: 1) No players. 2) Litigation.

Yes. They wiped in 2019. After promising not to. But that was for their launch.
im not doing this shit over and over wipe it and a lot of new players and i will delet this game
