I PICKED THE LINEUP, DANG.
The premise of this episode was not a surprise or in any way targeted against me, it was meant to be a way to give me even more of the spotlight than I deserve. I appreciate the desire to defend me, but let’s appreciate, rather than attack, that this show was kind enough to make the entire episode revolve around me.
Furthermore, I resent any implication that I am not always the biggest threat at the table, even with zero permanents my very body is a weapon. I was also 100% going to win if they allowed me to untap with nadiers nightblade and those foretold spells, and letting prosper keep his Timbs would have made that clock even shorter. So to those of you dunking on the threat assessment, I pray you continue to live blissfully unaware of the horrors prosper can wreak.

In my play ground, I had a similar situation having a lot of mana but just 2 creatures that were small .The turn after I just took infinite turns with tekuthal, now as soon as they see it they just remove all my mana and kill me

Yeah, no. No matter how 'close he was to winning' (the permission magic player was entirely open on mana) it doesn't explain the entire game focusing him down. The Boseju on his Rhetoric that was doing essentially nothing compared to targeting the enchantment on Arwen, or the Great Henge, or any of the pillow fort, or the archive...
Like, I get busting down his commander. That's fine. But this whole game looked like a clique picking on the new kid, and I'm not into that type of content. I don't mind seeing the person I'm rooting for lose. But I mind watching the gameplay look like sour grapes the entire way down.
Veggie not killing the vorinclex with generous gift is wild. Also proper should have blocked arwen turn before, nerdgirl made a mistake attacking with it and was luckily not punished. Her whole board gets a lot weaker without arwen around
Honestly the misplay of the game was Boseiju, Who Endures. Should have killed the enchantment on arwen. and it would have slowed the mono green deck down a ton.
Manglehorn also makes artifacts come into play tapped that include tokens like treasure, food, and clue. They should be tracked separately so people know what treasures are tap able and which ones came in tapped.
Gold tokens keep winning.

Prosper’s existence is a war crime.
I mean in commander usually the first person to pop off like that is the first person to lose. Its part of the strategy of commander to be ahead but not look like you're too far ahead or else you'll just paint a target on your back.

When veggie geneous gifted maldhounds creature instead of the voriclex i knew mtg girl would take the game. Just blatant targeting and honestly for no reason, prosper was never much of a threat he was just playing his own little mini game with his crypto
Listen ill be real they were all dead if they let me untap. It was felonious but truth be told I was going to combo off and Veggie at least had a plan for creature damage.

I think what was felonious was the balance in the decks. You have a Vorinclex, Great Henge, Craterfoot against a budget Prosper deck.

I play a Gishath deck, she's my favourite commander. So seeing Bexx use congregation at dawn before she had Gishath out was PAINFUL the WHOLE point of the card is to lineup to top of your deck with 3 Dinos to flip with Gishath!!
the first thing i noticed was that all the commanders in the thumbnail were all from malds videos and i just thought “this isn’t coincidence” super hilarious
the look on Mald's face every time MTGNerdGirl put something down and it got too damn many counters
1st time watching this channel. I'm not sure if y'all don't state triggers all the time, but tons of Shadow in the warped were missed. This triggers on opponent casting instants on another players turn as well. I'm 25 minutes into game play, and only one trigger of this card was stated.

i don´t like this game. the whole time mald was targeted even if he wasn´t the thread. you remove stuff from him when there are multiple better target... to be honest i can´t recall any time where other things were targeted over his.
i have never played against prosper, but it got way more hate than what was resonable.
i don´t care if that was apparently the joke. to me it just looked like one person getting bullied on the board, that is trying to take it as good sportmanship.
IF you want to play sth like that just play ARCHENEMY. would have made it more entertaining

Paying one mana to draw two cards is actually a pretty phenomenal deal, especially when your opponent paid two mana to give you the privilege and only gets one card.
The idea of Prosper being a CryptoBro makes me happy and angry in equal parts. He will definitely make some of your older relatives lose part of their retirement.

The threat assessment of this match is way off. After MaldHound lost his commander to a land, NerdGirl was the major threat, but everyone still cooperated to get Maldhound out of the Game. Archenemy is a game mode, if you are going to bully someone using curated decks that’s just plain rude.

kinda felt like malhound was being targeted a little heavy, with the greaves and then his commander... i think the artifact should have been the Anox,that cost life or white to attack since he has propaganda out also...yeah greaves is a great target but i think if u had beast within, u should have used it on propaganda . instead of a commander.just my 2 cents.also..

I don't really care about the missed triggers and replacement effects and such, but seeing Gishath tap to attack did psychic damage to me.
Late to this series, but lemme just say, I love how Nerdgirl finds a way to Lean Green whenever possible.
It's funny because Maldhound picked all the commanders for this episode and Nerdgirl had last choice. We always let the guests pick 1st!
There's a reason i had to take apart my prosper deck, so fun to play but the moment everyone gets the chance he's like a lightning rod for hate even when there is much worse stuff on the board haha

Having run Prosper myself, I very much understand the targeted hate; everything Prosper wants to do is scary. He creates value on his own, increases the value of a common game mechanic, and rapidly accumulates resources. His colors include a _lot_ of ways to utilize those resources to win quickly, so you have to assume that the cards in hand at any time could be game-enders. They aren't, most of the time, bc the majority of Prosper decks I've seen are overloaded on value generators without having enough payoffs, but it _looks_ scary enough to draw all the attention.

My gishath deck has 40 Dino’s, roughly 8 ramp spells/rocks, a couple enchantments, and lands. Idk why you’d put so many other things in there 😳

Uhm, this is a question regardings rules. I am new so please enlighten me if wrong, but counters especially if doubles go in term of Doubling first and then plus one, right? Same with mana, Or is that specific to mana only? Where double mana and then the plus 1 applies?
In terms of replacement effects, you can choose the order of replacement effects. So 1 + 1 x 2.

I just hate when people forget that the game is the not about winning, but about having fun together, and for me it looked like the green player forgot about that.

The true joy that I get from seeing Mald play against a green player
As a Prosper player, this kind of archenemy tactic against the prosper player seems to exist in any playgroup. I've built him multiple different ways and his deck is the one that gets 80% of the tables interaction. Yet, my Acererak the Archlich deck which can win a lot faster recieves no interaction. Threat analysis is tough.
Yeah even with the disclaimer in the comments tbh I really don’t think a single piece of removal has been used on anything while prosper is out, homie really didn’t do that much if we are being 100% here imma rewatch this and try to think if I was at the table with this and if I would have targeted him to oblivion like y’all
Yeah nah the prosper deck was not insanely popping off like how the mono green deck was mid game at the point where people killed of the prosper player. That was actually hard to watch the first time and the second time tbh
